Pros: Very clean, superb location
Cons: Staff very pleasant, superb property, food amazing and the bed and room very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: West Plean House is situated just outside of downtown Stirling within a beautiful and large natural farm property. The grounds include horse stables and riding areas, a free range chicken area and woods and fields with deer and other wildlife in abundance. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Hannah’s breakfasts are huge and superb. Her porridge is the best I’ve had. We highly recommend West Plean House.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location in lovely grounds. Friendly welcome. Offered cuppa in lounge on our arrival.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: We never had breakfast
Cons: The space in the apartment is way too small, the shower in the bath tub doesn't work, no power and the hot water can burn as there's no balance with hot and cold. I had to resort to going to a hair salon simply to have my hair washed and that is a cost I hadn't thought about at all. There is no way that this apartment should cost us what it did. The couples little boy was very sick and we felt for the family but on top of the high way robbery on the cost. I would never recommend this place to anyone and neither should you. They never offered any recompense, we felt cheated to our core.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything had been thought of and so tastefully done, from the lovely crisp white linen to the home made bread and marmalade.
Cons: Really couldn't fault West Plean House or our hosts,
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Hannah is a fantastic, warm, friendly host. Her cooking skills are awesome, with homemade porridge, bread and delicious raspberry jam all being a delightful start to the day. We would return in a heartbeat, we left totally relaxed and content.
Cons: Liked it all
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were great and very hospitable. The breakfast was suburb with the best porridge ever.
Cons: Expected the room to be a bit larger and en-suite was quite small but overall okay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The close proximity to everything. Christina was a wonderful friendly host. Gave us lots of tips. Our room was beautiful and the bed was so so comfortable. We had a great bathroom with lots of room. A great place to stay.
Cons: Everything was just right. No complaints at all.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hostess was very gratious. Breakfast, continental, had numerous selections. Try the homemade bread. Room had a beautiful view of Stirling Castle and bathroom was very large. Neighborhood was very quiet and there is a trail nearby, along the river, that can take you to the Castle avoiding many of the major roads.
Cons: It is about .4 miles from the train station and in a residential neighborhood.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Christina is a lovely host and very interested in the well being of her guests. The BnB is located in a really nice neighborhood a few minutes walk from the old town and rail station. The beds were the most comfortable of our whole trip to Scotland! We had a great stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful house and a thoroughly welcoming host made this the perfect short stay in Stirling.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable house and room and lovely host. Pleasant 10-15 walk into the old town. Lovely host.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location in the Victorian quarter within easy walking distance of the town centre and railway station (both took me 10 minutes). The attractive river Forth is also literally at the end of the road. Parking in the road is unrestricted, free and I had no problem getting a space only yards from the front door.
Cons: If being picky, a larger range of cereals (currently cornflakes or granola) for some people. Some people may also prefer a cooked breakfast option (at additional cost).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay at Number 18 bed and breakfast. Christina was friendly and welcoming. She provided a binder with helpful information including brochures for local tourist attractions. It is a 15 to 20 minute walk to the train and bus station. There was many breakfast choices including cereal, natural yogurt, homemade bread, fruit, cheese, croissants and pancakes. She has a lovely garden.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at #18 Bed and Breakfast in Stirling on Aug 24- Aug 26 was the best accommodation experience of our 17 day vacation in Scotland. The place was spotless very clean and decorated to perfection. Christina was a gracious and charming host nothing was too much trouble for her, our room was large, bright and well furnished with lots of the little extras just making it feel like home away from home. Her garden is amazing with all the neat little thing in and around the garden. The location was super just a short 10 minute walk to the Castle, town centre, shopping mall, bus and train station, pubs and restaurants all close. Only a 5 minute drive to the Wallace monument as well. Anyone going to Stirling should book at #18 you won't be disappointed.
Cons: Nothing to dislike about at the property.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a very nice stay at Christine's. The house is lovely, it has been recently renovated and has the appeal of an old house with modern confort. Christine made us feel like home, she was very welcoming and full of good advices. The neighbourhood is nice and calm, about 15 minutes by foot from the city center. For us it was perfect as we could easely park the car and walk to town.
Cons: We made a couple of suggestions to improve the breakfast (which was already good)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Christina was a lovely host and runs an amazing B&B in Sterling. The room was furnished cozily and you can get to the city center in 10-15 min walk with many restaurants around. Also, the continental breakfast with homemade bread added to our great experience staying with her.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect just a few minutes walk to the city centre. There was a great hot breakfast and an ample offering of an English breakfast. Something for everyone.
Cons: Everything was great.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice place. She cooked up a great Scottish breakfast in the morning. And she let us leave our luggage there while we went to the see the castle, so we didn't have to haul it around which was nice. Pretty much like a b&b. We enjoyed our short time there.
Cons: Had a little bit of trouble finding it on foot from the bus station, as there's some round abouts and foot tunnels on the way. She complained a bit that we didn't call saying we were coming lateish but we didn't have a phone that worked there and things just took a lot longer than expected to get there and find it. (We had been up all night with flights so we were pretty tired though).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were Amazing and very friendly.Anything I asked for was done quite quickly, nothing was a problem.Great position for eating out and not far from where I was going to.
Cons: We had the first room down steps on right and it was very noisy.I take it that it was the kitchen door constantly banging as staff going in and out all night. Not their fault but maybe a rubber door stop would help.Next time I would ask for a quiet room maybe down the corridor as it is close to the bar. Also I think there were ppl/staff smoking right outside near bins which is too near the rooms and were also bit loud.Maybe put a shelter over far side of car park in left corner.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice atmosphere but no waiting/seating area for under 18s pre dinner. Wasn’t a problem as we were whisked away from the bar and were seated for dinner.
Cons: Breakfast had extra charges ie full English £9 when rate stated breakfast included

Very friendly staff, Richard the director worked tiresly to make us feel welcome, we even popped into their other establishment Riverside in Dunblane, great set up there also! Well done and thank you.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very good breakfast included. Food in general was good. Lively atmosphere, good selection of wines and beers.
Cons: The shower was a bit rickety. I didn't like the coffee machine that was there instead of a kettle, couldn't get it to work and the pods are very wasteful.

Pros: Think the full Scottish breakfast should be included in the price with the room
Cons: To pay for Scottish breakfast

Pros: The whole layout. Spa.
Cons: It is on a very steep hill.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Old historic building formerly a boarding school. Very central. Great food.
Cons: Nothing
6.0 Good
Pros: The food was delicious. The restaurant and reception staff were lovely and very welcoming.
Cons: The room itself was classed as deluxe and we failed to see it..I would have thought all deluxe rooms would have at the minimum king size beds and the bathroom was very run down for what I would expect . Think the decor was tired looking and in need of an update.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. Love all the tartan and the pictures of stirling. Staff are very friendly and helpful The location is great. Just up the road from the bars/restaurant’s and close to the castle too
Cons: The pool/jacuzzi area could be bigger
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Would but be suitable for anyone that requires a lift but if you don’t mind the steps it’s fine. Lovely character to the building and history. The location was fab but again halfway up a steep inclined road. Anyone unfit or frail might find the walk back up to the hotel from the shops a bit tough.
Cons: My husband felt there wasn’t enough food on the plate with his steak. Also after 11 you need a card registered to pay for drinks. There was only one staff member behind the bar which also too bar food orders so very slow.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good big room, staff were good, helpful and friendly enough.
Cons: The bar area is a bit untidy with armchairs ripped and bar cluttered with dirty glasses. Room was dated.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good with a fair degree of choice Central location Staff by and large were pleasant Check in lady was accommodating and efficient Bath as well as shower
Cons: Parking was a real problem and eventually I was allowed in a disabled space. Also I almost got blocked in. Young man operating the bar in the evening seemed distracted and slow Building needs some TLC-A few leaks although rain and wind exceptional Not to do with the hotel but the road closures were a real pain to getting to the hotel.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was modern and spacious. Central location to the town and shops.
Cons: The elevator only went to the first floor and we needed to carry heavy suitcases to the second floor. The restaurant served up nice food but our waiter really needed more training on customer service. Didn't offer us water, took our food order before asking if we would like to have drinks, then got the food order wrong but then got the bill completely messed up and didn't charge for other meals consumed. The amended bill was still wrong but we gave up pointing out the mistakes.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and the hotel was central for everything. We decided to dine in the hotel as the weather was not very good. The food was excellent and very tasty and not over priced. The bar prices were reasonable too.
Cons: About 100m up a hill that could pose problems for people with walking difficulties but was ok for us.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly, genuine and very helpful. Meal in the hotel restaurant was delicious and even when items on menu had run out staff did an amzing job on finding alternatives.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A return visit to the hotel. Great location and great value on a midweek visit. We ate in the hotel this time and the food was very good. The staff were very friendly.
Cons: The bath was a bit high for me getting into for the shower and a non slip mat would be good.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel. Great staff. All in all a great stay and would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
Cons: No pillow menu , bed linen turn-down service or rose petals
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: The bedroom and bathroom were not warm and on the chilly side. The bedroom was badly lit, it was hard to see even with all the lights.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in a great location - halfway between the station and Kings Park. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and the bar man made the best Pornstar martini I've had in a long while.
Cons: The continental breakfast was a little disappointing - very limited choice.

Cons: The hostel doesn't have internet in the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: ... funny argument I heard around 3.00 am between a guy who was preparing to get to bed and the other already half asleep. One said to the other to be considerate and keep the noise low to which the guy's reply suggested he books a room in the Hilton next time. My reaction, I guess was a compromise between laughing and trying to sleep
Cons: Carefully tiptoed around the room to not disturb the guys who were fast asleep... but the woody floors got the better of me ..squeaky floors, but then one got to realise that you are privileged to be in a time capsule form Robert the Bruce era, that's the "add on" bit
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We liked the experience of staying at a hostel (it was our first time ever). The room was clean, I particularly liked the high ceiling! The 2 windows were very big, and offered nice views of the city. The location was just excellent! Within walking distance of the main attractions of the Old Town of Stirling. Just beautiful. We didn't have breakfast, so can't comment about that. For people on a budget, it's very good value for money.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. It is a few minutes walking from the city center. You can leave your lugagge in the hostel, but they do not have a specific room to do it, and you have to leave them in the hall! It was very strange
Cons: You can leave your lugagge in the hostel, but they do not have a specific room to do it, and you have to leave them in the hall! It was very strange. And you do not have bath soap

Pros: Nice
Cons: Bath room leaking
5.0 Okay
Pros: The place is in a great location :)
Cons: I was given a key that should have been able to be used to open the front door. It did not once during my stay and I felt I inconvenienced the staff for them to open the door. I didn’t stay out later in the evening to avoid issues. I didn’t like that I paid £7 for breakfast and when I arrived it said £6!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good place, good price, good room, and good service
5.4 Okay
Pros: Really cheap, great location. The lady at the reception desk was kind and helpfull.
Cons: The floor in our room was full of hair, I found even some large pieces of dry human skin and couple of pills on the carpet. Lots of hair and smudges in the bathroom also. Now I know why it was the cheapest accommodation in the city...
8.8 Excellent
