Excellent experience. The only problem was changing my pickup and dropoff Times, because I prepaid through KAYAK. I suspect at a larger airport, with more cars this would have been easier. The staff tried hard to make my change possible.

Besides being expensive, we told them what time we were dropping the car back off and they never mentioned they’d be closed so we had no shuttle to the airport and we had to walk with all of our baggage from Sixt to the airport on dark unlit streets in a foreign country. Very dissatisfied. They also did not have the car they repeatedly told us they’d have. We reserved a small SUV and they offered us a sedan or a slightly larger SUV. Of course there was an up charge for the suv so we got stuck in a sedan for the trip.

Sixt rental in Inverness airport looked after us very well. The shuttle picked us up at the terminal building, the driver was extremely friendly as were the office staff. The car was good looking, clean and pleasure to drive. They offered me an automatic transmission which I appreciated. Drop-off was straightforward with a key dropbox in the terminal building. Returning the car with a full tank of fuel was tricky as the nearest gas station was some distance away.
