Pros: The location and proximity to MDAnderson Cancer Hospital was ok, less than 15 minutes to drive there. The decor, though older, was nice too. There was a full size gingerbread house in the lobby, all edible, which we thought was really cool too.
Cons: Reading online that this hotel had a remodel in 2011, I wasn't expecting it to be perfect and pristine, but it was even less than I expected. The carpets coming off the elevator to our floor were stained and looked dirty. Entering the room, everything looked ok, but there was a definite smell to the room. Not overpowering, but not good either. Kind of musty/humid/moldy smelling. The tv was on a dresser not facing the bed, or any of the chairs in the room, so I'm not sure how one is supposed to view it. We were there for one night before our appointment at the MDAnderson Cancer Center, and though we will be making many trips there over the next few years, I'm not sure we will stay at this hotel again. For the price ($156 after taxes), I was expecting better.

Room was dusty. There is no daily housekeeping. You only get it once. They should mention this on their website when booking. They gave us a view of the chimneys. We asked to be changed to another room and they said they were fully booked. The person at the reception was not the nicest. The second night I spoke to the manager and she kindly switched us.

They do not clean the room during your visit. Do not relenish coffee bar, soap, towels, do not make bed although they may strip your bed as they did mine!!! Said due to covid ( over 2 years), you do not get service. Motel 6 gives more service than this Hilton!

Pros: The hotel seems like it was very nice a few years ago but doesn't feel like it has been kept up to date and doesn't feel clean at all. Our room smelled so much like mildew! The room came with 1 bottle of complimentary water. Every bottle after that you had to purchase, principally speaking I think this is crazy for a hotel room that costs $200 per night! Overall not impressed by this hotel.

Which will take a week to be put back on my card...... No soda or vending machines, closest 24 hr place to get snacks is 3 miles away.... They charged me over 60 dollars in overnight parking fees without ever asking me whet make or model or license plate number... I didn't even have a car with me on this trip- staff were condescending and rude about my attempting to address these and other issues..... Don't stay here Houston is big no shortage of alternatives that are not a waste if minry

Pros: Johnny at the front desk was spectacular, and was very professional. Gave me recommendations on night life and restaurants. The room was very nice, and the beds were comfortable.
Cons: The valet was decent. It's about $34 a night after tax for one car, but it is downtown Houston. They are very quick about getting your car ready for you when you call for it. At night we called valet for a cab and went down 10 minutes later and they said it had not arrived yet. My group waited 10 more minutes inside the garage before the valet guy told us to stand on the street and try to get one. What is the point of calling ahead for a cab if they wanted us to go flag one down ourselves. There is no on site self parking, but there is a small private owned parking lot connected to the right of the hotel which is $10/ a day where my friend left his car. Check your bill before you leave!! I was charged an extra $20 dollars for "long distance calls." I didn't realize it was considered long distance to call valet down stairs... They were happy to take it off, but I'm glad I checked it.

Pros: We liked basically everything about this hotel and wish it had been more than a qiuick overnight stay. It was a special birthday trip for me, and I had chocolate strawberries, Prosecco, and a lovely little chocolate cake upon arrival. Our suite was large with a very comfortable bed and huge sofa. Great overall vibe. Our friends had a small but well-apportioned corner room with windows on two full sides and an amazing 20th floor view. Staff was friendly and helpful and bar was comfortable with good drinks. We did not have the opportunity to try the restaurant, but will next time. Great location.

Pros: We really enjoyed the room and the location. It was 2 adults and a 5 yr old. We were there to catch an Astros game and to visit NASA which was only a 30 minute drive away. Minute Maid was within walking distance. Concierge said we could use the complimentary shuttle but we walked to ballpark instead. Hotel was also next to the northbound and southbound light rail so we hopped on that to the museum district. We would definitely stay there again. We didn't use the valet for $36, we found street parking around the corner.
Cons: Got locked out of room at noon even though we had a late check out scheduled. Was no big deal though. They had a bus boy sent up to give us new room keys and they apologized.

Also, although downtown Houston is not a walkers' paradise anyway, we were barely in the downtown center and had to walk 20 minutes or more to get to decent restaurants.

Pros: The staff was really personable from the valets to Jorge to the counter staff. The hotel has a very appealing luxury façade but wait until you get to the room.
Cons: The room air conditioner did not cool the room. The ceiling had what looked like "black mold" but at closer look may be lent from the air conditioner vent. The room area that housed the ice maker looked very neglected which made me feel that the hotel was beautiful on the surface only.

Cons: I called ahead to find out whether I needed to bring our coffee brewer for our own, in room, coffee, and was told they had actual brewers (not those pod-type things). They didn't, and couldn't locate any, and didn't have any answers for how to get what we wanted and what they said they had. They did brew our coffee in their kitchen for us, which was apparently the best they could do. We almost didn't get the early check in they had also promised over the phone; luckily I had the name of the person who granted it, who happened to be the one at the front desk and who initially told us they couldn't check us in early.

Pros: I loved the atmosphere, decorations, the view from the pool was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable. The valet were super friendly and helpful.
Cons: The staff inside seemed a bit on edge from the double weddings in the restaurant, clerk told us we could order at the bar tender stand downstairs and the bartender seemed offended and said she's a liar, it's room service only that night. I was not fond of the prices for waffles and french toast on the menu, seemed an awful high price for such a simple food. The view from my room was construction and graffiti ' ed windows on the building next to us.

Pros: Beautiful hotel in a wonderful area of downtown. We were able to walk everywhere. We did love the roof top pool as well. Amazing view of downtown from above.
Cons: The main drawback for us is that there was a wedding the night we stayed so the bar/pool table area was not available. There was no other good place to hang out at the hotel which was inconvenient for us.

Pros: Responsive staff, big clean comfortable room, king bed, four wonderful pillows, fridge, microwave, free bottled water, large flat screen TV, pod coffee maker, powrful well draining shower, comfortable AC, expansive desk with much storage, many charge outlets, huge delicious breakfast of almost any type you wish with bananas and apples to go, three types of warm cookies @ 4PM and later, a kind front desk person who would take the time to print my airline ticket, great maid service! Beautiful clean carpet, wonderful location near everything downtown, very safe feeling neighborhood all at a very fair price. All in all, a GREAT experience!

Pros: We do "staycations" on weekends all over Texas and we've had some odd smelling rooms but the smell of crawfish we do strong I got sick. There was no fabreeze or candles to light to help the smell so I had to use my expensive perfume. Sadly will not be returning.

Club Quarters would also be good for urban family travel, since there's a nice foldout couch in the living room for kids. It's green because of where it is - right where the light rail lines intersect in the center of downtown Houston.

I will say, we had planned to valet park for convenience, but there is no port cochere and cars were backed up down the block to get in line for the valet. Pros: Good location. It will be wonderful once 5 blocks of construction are finished in a cute retail and food area nearby. Right now there are sparse entertainment options within walking distance and you really should have steel-toe boots and a hard hat to reach some of them.
Cons: The room was tiny. It fit just the bed and there was 1 foot between the walls around it. I've never seen such a tiny room. It was difficult to even unpack with 2 people trying to walk in there. 1 person had to be on the bed if another was walking around it. The bed was 2 twin beds pushed together. Relegating you to 1 edge or another.

Pros: We were on the 10th floor. It was very quiet and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. We used the shuttle daily and the drivers were all very friendly and professional. It was a pleasure to see them smiling every morning. We were always greeted by the front desk staff every time we stepped off the elevator. The entire hotel was very clean. I would definitely stay there again!

Great location four blocks from Minuet Maid Park. Gym is small but has the essentials, got the job done. Great overall experience.
Cons: No mini fridge in the room was the only draw back. Had to make a bunch of trips to the ice machine, which was on a different floor to keep my daughters pedisure cold.

Cons: The rooms were tiny. You could hear EVERYTHING from the street. Our room vent clicked every time it was on. There was no separation from bathroom sink to living and the lights for the entire bathroom area was on one switch. So I couldn’t take a shower without disturbingly waking up my other half. Lastly the music in the lounge on Friday night was LOUD and made us not want to sit down there and enjoy drinks.
