Ixtapa hotels near Magic World Aquapark

Cons: Food was pretty bad, limited options and not even presented well. Beach access was a joke. Not many restaurants were open, even though they were advertised as such during booking. Far from town. Layout was a little strange - too tiered/broken up. Back-of-house operations were a little too exposed. Would have been nice if the oyster bar was open during our stay.

Cons: We arrived at 12:30, told our room would be ready at 1:00 but at 1:00 we were told that was a mistake and our room wouldn't be ready until 4:00. That was an inconvenience.

Cons: Could improve the menu offerings on the beach and lobby bar for happy hour. Elevators were under construction which made it hard as there are many stairs.

Cons: It's a lot of walking, there was only one elevator in the entire resort, and the resort is huge! We were traveling with a 3 year old which meant holding him while we walked up and down stairs.

Cons: The room service food was 1 star awful. The "pizza" was an unappetizing mess. The enchiladas were bad—and this is Mexico!! The buffet options for the all inclusive are good, and that's probably the only pleasant way to go here. The management chooses to nickel and dime guest for drinking water and coffee. The coffee machine in my room had to be replaced twice, staff aren't allowed to give more than 2 coffee capsules—and if you don't catch the made those default to only 1 coffee and 1 decaf. Going to the main floor for free coffee from the lobby or anywhere—forget it. You need to pay. Drinking water is 2 tiny bottles per day—wholly inadequate. But the gym has water so bring your water bottles there and refill. Again, the lobby staff do not offer free drinking water.

Cons: There was no balcony on our room, which I thought was unusual, but I'd wouldn't have traded the kitchenette for a balcony, so I was very satisfied.

Cons: too many kids (hotel policy) children under 8 unlimited ? stay free even worst the lobby bar //////////// adult only ////////// serves no alcohol drinks to children on late hours

Cons: CUSTOMER SERVICE, especially at front desk!!! Food, poor menu The hotel looks and is old, no maintenance! We will never go back to that hotel again!
