Pros: The setting at the base of Camelback Mt in Scottsdale was breathtaking. Every staff member was extremely courteous and professional. The highlight was sitting outside each night by a fire pit overlooking the property and all of Phoenix. The other highlight was in teh lobby bar, they have a trumpet jass singer named Jerry McGuire who was a combination of Chri Botti and George Benson....amazing that added to the sexy ambiance of the hotel, bar and outdoor patio.

Pros: I don't usually right reviews, but I felt compelled to recommend our experience. We were in awe of the hotel from the moment we arrived. Marissa and Michael at the front desk were professional, engaged and most important they were personal. Hotel grounds are reminiscent of Tuscany with lots of stone and massive wooden gates/entryway. The room exceeded our expectation of cleanliness and style. The onsite restaurant was also delicious. We decided to stay after my wife shot a wedding on sight and vowed to be back. We will return in the near future.

I highly would recommend The Montelucia to anyone visiting Paradise Valley.

Pros: Went for my birthday overnight and the staff could not have made it more special for me. Starting at checking in, when we were upgraded to a room other with a king size bed and amazing view. They went above and beyond- we came back to the room to champagne, a handwritten birthday note, and cake! Then the pool concierge and staff (Nicholas, tabitha, yanna (sp?) and Camille all made us feel SO welcome and taken care of. They brought out a birthday dessert as well, while we were lounging by the pool. They comped a couple things and really made us feel celebrated and welcomed. It was a FANTASTIC customer service experience- which is rare to find these days!

Pros: This hotel is Nice and clean. The interior design is modern. The location is perfect if you want to take a stroll around downtown. From the front entrance, you can see the US Airways stadium, the Chase stadium or arena (sorry, not a sports fan) and just a few minutes walk away. Also it about a five to ten minutes walk to Heritage Square. One minus is the room we stayed in had only one chair and a long sofa for seating. Having just one chair made it tough for two of us to enjoy food or coffee in our room. I recommend friends to stay there, but because it's downtown, don't be surprised about how expensive parking can be, $23/night.

Pros: The hotel was really comfortable and really was luxurious. But how can hotel, especially one of this stature not have free WiFi? Makes absolutely no sense! Also no hot tub or bath tub, so forget the idea of a soothing soak. You also have to pay $32 a night for parking. Or you can park across the street for $15/day, but if you leave and come back, you have to pay another $15. So don’t plan on leaving once you get there. However there is a light rail across the street if you need to travel somewhere. There is also no included breakfast. Other than those things, the hotel was really nice. I probably won’t stay again because I really love to be able to stay in a hotel with a hotub.

The staff were very knowledgeable and responsive. I didn't need much assistance, but for the few questions or needs I had, they were quick to aid me.
The resort is kept up well. It has stayed up-to-date since my last stay there 20 years ago. I'm happy to see it has been kept in good condition.
I went to the spa and the masseuse was incredibly experienced and did an exceptional job. I would highly recommend the spa.

Pros: Location was good for what I needed. Other than that, stay away.
Bedding was clean, staff was attentive and polite, but the place has not been maintained. At all. The property may have ranked a 4 star rating long ago, but it honestly looks like that was the last time they even spent a dime on upkeep of the structure. Again, the employees were great, but the place is a dump.

Pros: The lady at the reception desk when we checked in was fantastic, very sweet and super helpful. She is the only reason we stayed in this disgusting motel and didn't immediately go back to Flagstaff. We would have been a lot more upset and probably would have left demanding our money back had she not been so kind to us. The lady who worked the evening of March 15, 2015 deserves a raise!
The lady when we checked out was also nice but was unprofessional and more concerned with what was on her phone. Overall, we did get what we paid for I suppose. The location was super convienent, it was 10 min or less away from everything we wanted to do. Just glad we only stayed for one night.
I will also admit that the bbqs by the pool are a genius idea! A familiy staying there was bbq-ing up a storm and it smelt AMAZING. haha The hotel resturaunt was also actually really nice!

Pros: The room was supposed to be smoke free, but reeked of smoke including bedding, towels, etc and the smoke alarm had the battery removed. The place was so dirty I had to was off the light switch and the phone before touching either. I asked for a different room, the manager told me no, I checked out one hour later because I couldn't breathe in all the smoke.

Pros: The room was clean but had no wastebaskets. Toiletries provided were lotion, lotion and conditioner. The plumbing produced lots of noise when I or the room next door tried to take a shower, and the water was only lukewarm. Breakfast was pretty good compared to other Super 8s I have stayed at.
