Pros: I am a female and was travelling alone to see my son. I got my room and from then on, felt comfortable, secure, close to conveniences and within walking distance to great shops, restaurants and more.
I was also given the gift of a spa treatment while there, and that experience was heavenly!
The dining room was decorated for Christmas and was absolutely lovely! I was also quite comfortable eating alone here, with a seat by a warming fire.
I will be returning to Portland shortly, and would like my same room and experience. Loved it.

Pros: I liked the historical nature of the building, and the architectural details. I found the hotel to be big on comfort, cleanliness, and friendly and helpful staff. Loved the complimentary coffee delivered to your room in the morning, much nicer than having to make substandard coffee in the room. The Mill St. restaurant on the premises has wonderful food and a lovely ambience.
I didn't take advantage of any of the spa offerings, so I can't comment on those.

Pros: Everyone at the hotel was so nice and went above and beyond to be helpful. The location is perfect right in the center of the city. There are so many great restaurants just around the corner. I also really enjoyed the spa at the hotel. The facilities are very relaxing and everyone that works there can help you figure out exactly what you need. We had a great stay and will definitely be coming back.

Pros: The staff was great- the valet attendants were very professional (and the parking was actually cheaper than the city parking garages) and the front desk staff were very helpful. They even had a complimentary car service! You also can't beat the location of the hotel- a minute walk and you're surrounded by beautiful shops and restaurants!

It was great to be able to valet the car (for one of the cheaper valet rates in the city) and just walk everywhere. The complementary breakfast each morning was good, nothing exceptional but enough to get us going. The staff were great and helpful with recommendations and making us comfortable. The room was comfortable and the bed was great-however I would suggest bringing your own pillow if you like a firmer pillow the pillows here are very, very soft-not a complaint but not my preference.

Pros: Staff was so very helpful -- allowing us to return our rental car to the airport the night before our flight and then they picked us up there, and they ordered a cab for us early in the morning to get to the airport; they directed us to pick up some breakfast items that were getting ready to be put out even though it was an hour before the official breakfast start time
The place was so clean and the rooms lovely, quite the contrast to a motel we had stayed at the previous two nights

Pros: This hotel has a great location...close to the airport, close to the downtown waterfront, and easy to get around. It is definitely on the low-end of prices for the area and there was nothing bad about the area around the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was nice, nothing too fancy, but worked out great for a quick bite before meetings.

Pros: Convenience. My son and I attended a Maine Red Claws basketball game. The hotel was very convenient to the stadium and I envision the same for a Sea Dogs game. Room was basic but decent size.
