Super easy pick up and drop off. Minimal interaction with employees but the ones I did talk to were super friendly. Great value, unlimited miles/km
I was over charged and not able to get
The car was clearly a former Uber with the permit and "this ride might be recorded" stickers. Something oily was sprayed on the inside of the windshield making it very hard to see and when I tried to clean it it got streaky and worse- I used Windex and then a kitchen cleaner and it was still difficult to see through the streaks to the point where it was unsafe. The car also had paint pen writing on the rear drivers side window which I had to scrape off. The interior smelled like someone tried really hard to cover up stale smoke.
Their team were understaffed, under supplied and crabby at pickup. There was a noticeable deficit of “normal” cars, and they were often trying to convince people who had booked economy to take a mini van. On return I needed to adjust by 30 minutes to accommodate flex in a travel schedule, and their phone staff were dismissive and rude. They charged me a silly fee, despite the fact that when I arrived, the location was CLOSED, so it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. I will NOT be using Hertz again.
I rented the car in March. When i got to the pick up spot - in July - there was no one there at the office. Literally, no employees showed up. When i called Hertz, they said "find another reservation." Zero respect for customers. None whatsoever. Unbelievable. Never again.
