This charming guest house is located in the historic centre of Toledo, 150 metres from Plaza Zocodover Square. It offers elegant, air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, just 2 minutes’ walk from Toledo Cathedral. Each comfortable, bright room at Hostal la posada de Zocodover features a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries. Tourist information is available at La Posada de Zocodover, which also has a drinks vending machine. A number of bars, shops and restaurants are located within a 5-minute walk. Pros: The hostal is in an old historical building, so the bedroom still maintains the old traditional historical magnificent features. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Each room has its own toilet and they are very clean. The street is very lively during the day, but very quiet at night, so I slept perfectly and the location is ideal.
Cons: The place has no room to offer breakfast, but there is a lovely coffee shop 1minute walk from there. There is no 24hrs reception, but the host gets in touch to organise check in and check out and is available for any need.

Pros: Great location right in the heart of old Toledo. A clean and comfortable room, if a little snug, but I get the feeling space is a premium in old Toledo. Best of all was the host Miguel who was possibly the most welcoming, helpful, and enthusiastic host I have ever encountered - thanks Miguel Angel!
Cons: The room would have been pretty tight if you had two suitcases. If you don't like stairs, request a lower floor room. There is no lift.

Pros: Miguel and his wife warmly welcomed us in their hostal in the middle of beautiful historical Toledo. Miguel gave us map and showed us all places where to go/not to go and when. He recommended us café and restaurant, where he and locals go, food was delicious. Thanks to him we knew, where we wanna go, saved us time and money. Our room was perfect, super nice, super clean and quite. There was a small bow with candies, sorry Miguel we ate all chocolate. Our stay in Toledo was awesome, big part of it was thanks to our stay in this hostal. We are very much looking forward to come back.

Pros: Miguel and Gema are so welcoming and generous with their time and local information - all Miguel’s recommendations for sights and restaurants were great. It’s position right in the heart of old Toledo could not have been better - everything was within an easy, lovely walk. Whilst small, the perfectly quiet room was beautiful and traditionally furnished with a gorgeous enclosed balcony and a lovely outlook onto the cathedral and street below - perfect for people watching! Excellent, reliable WiFi and air conditioning. Room daily cleaned and stocked with toiletries, bottles of water and delicious little chocolates. A perfect home from home!

Pros: The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Both him & his wife made us feel very welcome and supplied us with an abundance of information. The location in the Old Centre of Toledo was extremely good. We were close to everything we wanted to see and visit. I can’t imagine a better location. The room was very clean and cleaned very well each day. The room looked very nice.
Cons: The room was small for what we paid. It was somewhat difficult to have the room we needed for our stuff and we travel quite light with backpacks.

Pros: The fact that there was someone to check us in out of hours on a Sunday was really appreciated. I loved the quick response to all our emailed enquiries once we had booked - fantastic customer service. The welcome was marvellous, everything was explained well. We booked an overnight stay - I loved the room, very in keeping with the Arabic authenticity of the baths. The room was tastefully decorated with lots of moorish features which were very pretty. The room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable and clean. I particularly liked the tea coffee and extras provided in the fridge. Breakfast was delicious and well presented. The baths and sauna were amazing, we had them completely to ourselves. The tea service during the baths cycle was energising and refreshing. The exfoliating sessions and massage sessions were heavenly performed with such professionalism. All in all highly highly recommended.

Pros: Everything was really nice during our stay! The room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable with lots of space and a pretty big bathroom as well! The location is really good. Maybe a bit tricky if you have heavy luggage but close to everything. The 1hour spa included in our reservation really helped us relax. Thank you for everything!

Pros: Very beautifully designed and comfortable rooms, clean and cosy. The location was very central walking distance to many places to visit. The price difinitly worth it as they included one hour Arabianbath. The staff were friendly.

Pros: Manolo, Almudena, and all the staff were very friendly. The hotel offers multicultural old-world decor and ambiance with 21st century amenities and conveniences -- it is beautifully presented and very well maintained. The breakfasts are very good, a great way to start the day, and at €5, very reasonably priced. The hotel is basically right next to the cathedral (southeast corner) and also well situated for walking to the other sites of interest. It's also only a short walk straight up the street to the Mercado Municipal (next to Plaza Mayor), which includes a nice and surprisingly large supermarket. Understand that however you get to Toledo you're going to be doing a lot of uphill and downhill walking as you tour the ancient part of the city. Take it slow and easy, and you'll be fine.
Cons: No negatives to report. I didn't encounter any sort of noise at all. My 2-night stay, in one of the so-called "basic" rooms, was comfortable and delightful.

Pros: My wife and I stayed two nights. Great location immediately adjacent to the cathedral. Accommodation was where the cardinals resided in the past. Very old styled rooms which are wonderfully atmospheric with enough of the mod cons to be comfortable. Open the window and you are greeted with a nice view up the cobbled street. No lift so you will need to carry your bags up to your room. Nice breakfasts downstairs. Nice helpful staff. Getting to the accommodation with your car is very tricky but possible. Very narrow streets. After arriving and dropping bags and checking in, parking back down another narrow street to parking station. Town very interesting to walk around but quite up and down which you expect in hill top towns. Spectacular cathedral. Great restaurants.

Pros: I absolutely adored the view from my room- it looked right out onto the cathedral. I actually had not realized that the hotel had such amazing views until we arrived. In the past, the building was used as lodging for the cathedral’s priests; you can definitely feel the history around you. Also, there is a sweet rooftop patio that looks out over the city. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The rooftop deck has incredible views of Toledo. It was awesome! The rooms/house is where the cardinals stay when they come to Toledo. The room was very clean. Pros: The location was very convenient. Jose was very helpful in getting us a taxi the day we left. He patiently answered all of our questions when we arrived. The hotel is extremely clean. We had a triple room on the third floor. It was quiet, clean, and roomy enough for 3 people.

Pros: The place immaculate and the beds comfy. It was nice to have a place to make coffee in the morning. The location was ideal. Anna, the owner was helpful and lovely.
Cons: The place was dark and had a dungeon like feel even after dark. On the plus side we were out all day and only there to sleep. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the bed of excellent quality. Anna works had to provide a comfortable stay for her guests and it shows in her product.

Pros: Convenient location in the "Jewish Quarter" off Calle San Tome which is one of the busier pedestrian streets, not far from the Cathedral, The people who run the hostal also run the La Campana restaurant on the ground floor. It was nice to have breakfast included in the low rate. Mainly a continental breakfast, but I appreciated the coffee and fresh juice. The room was small and basic, but had a nice view onto a small decorated courtyard (as opposed to the air shafts or laundry lines I was used to seeing during my trip at other budget lodgings). The bathroom was well-sized, and the shower had a rainforest shower head. Aircon worked and was welcome.
Cons: No elevator. You would need to walk up at least one flight of stairs to get to the rooms. While the wifi was free and reliable, it was fairly slow compared to other lodgings in Spain.

Pros: The location is great. Middle of everything. The staff was great and very helpful, though nobody spoke english. Was a little hard, but not an issue.
Cons: Issue was that there was no cup in the bathroom, so i had to use my hands to rinse while teeth brushing. Also, the bed was not comportable, but it maybe a matter of taste. Walls are thin, You can hear noises. Was not a problem, since there was not many people. But if the place was packed with tourists, it may be a problem

Pros: The attendant lady was sweet and helpful. The bfast was easy and ended at 10:30 which let me sleep in. It was in the Juderia next to Santo Tomé. The price was great. It was super clean.
Cons: The doors are super noisy to close so my neighbors woke me a lot. The walls were very thin and I had to knock on the wall so they would quiet. There was no lift which makes it hard after a full day of climbing in the scorching heat and then moving luggage

The Eurostars Palacio Buenavista, built around the former 16th-century Buenavista Palace, is just 5 minutes by car from the historic centre of Toledo. This location makes it the ideal hotel for seeing all that the city has to offer. Just 45 minutes from Madrid - Barajas airport by car, Toledo is also served by a high-speed train line (AVE) from Madrid Atocha station and the journey takes just 25 minutes. A transfer service from the airport is also offered for an additional cost. For those wishing to visit the centre of Spain, the Eurostars Palacio Buenavista is the ideal starting point from which to discover Aranjuez, Cuenca, Ávila and other places of interest near Madrid. It is a marvelous destination which combines the magic and charm of Toledo with luxury and the very best personal service.

Cons: Not renovated, rooms are getting old. Bathrooms damaged clogged washbasins (both). Reception did not take care of our problem, not even a discount. Spa is very dirty, and stinks. That hotel has absolutely never been maintained properly for years. In the past, was nice. But now, better not stop here ! And parking 10 euros... for an hotel in the middle of nowhere. Very far from the center... restaurant car is very restrictive and wine list is poor and low quality. If you like 4 or 5 stars hotels, don’t come to this one ! (It’s a 3 stars Spanish level, no better). But still not maintained

Pros: My third time in this hotel and the reason why I always stay here when in Toledo is the size of the rooms, great breakfast, nice pool area and great gym. And when it's a 5 star hotel, everything just works really well. If you need to work, even the basic rooms are huge and they have a good work desk with comfortable office chair.
Cons: Well the only minus is the location and it's a bit far from the old town. But that's no problem and taxis are really cheap and also the hotel has a free transfer bus time to time.

Pros: The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We had massages in the spa and they were wonderfully relaxing. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Cons: We had a non smoking room as requested however when we arrived it smelt of smoke and there was an ashtray with cigarette ends in it on our balcony. This was rectified immediately by staff however. It would have been good if there had been a smaller more intimate bar area - it is in the main atrium and is very impersonal. The pool area is lovely however missing some mosaic tiles.

Pros: Hotel Carlos V was in a great location in the old town, staff were very helpful - Pablo made a good recommendation for dinner called Los Cuatro Tiempos . The breakfast was excellent and in a very interesting Mudejar style decor. Highly recommended. We caught a taxi to the hotel from the station which cost about 8€.

If you are driving to the hotel the roads in the centre are very very very narrow, if you have a big car (we have a Mercedes E class) it is really tricky. Gold star to my husband for managing to negotiate the roads and for getting in and out of the car park.

Pros: We had an enjoyable stay here. The hallway was decorated with ceramic tile giving it a sense of the past. The location is right in the middle of the old town - busy during the day but very quiet at night. The rooftop patio is a real highlight especially at night with a view of the cathedral. The staff was friendly and helpful. One of them guided my husband in and out of the garage as it was a tight fit.
Cons: There could be more choices for breakfast instead of a set menu of a couple of things. Finding the place had its challenges because of the narrowness of the streets and the pedestrians walking in front of the car.

Pros: Beautiful setting away from the hustle and bustle of Toledo tourism but walking is unrealistic especially in the summer heat. There is a bus service which stops at the door which I would recommend using. The room was modern, cool and clean. The receptionist who was there during our one night stay was incredibly helpful, warm and kind. Beautiful terrace to sit out in the evening with a drink. I can highly recommend this accommodation.

Pros: This is a fantastic hotel which whilst located a little away from the centre of Toledo affords beautiful views of the city itself. Unfortunately I only stayed one night but would have been happy to spend longer relaxing around the pool taking in the views.

1) in a five star Hotel I expect at least two free bottles of water every day

3) staff was overwhelmed during busy breakfast hours. Breakfast items running out fast and being replaced only very, very slowly and after asking for them.
4) staff answering incoming calls did not make any effort to locate us in the breakfast room when an international call came in for us.

Pros: We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. This is no exception as we think it is better to enjoy local cafes than spend a lot of money on breakfasts in hotels. We generally get much better coffee outside of hotels! The quality of the dinner we had was excellent - except for one mishap - see below.
Cons: Only one bottle of complementary water in our bedroom and only on the day of arrival. This is the first Marriott hotel where I haven't had two bottles every night of my stay, and I've stayed in lots of Marriotts. Also, although there weren't many guests in the bar or the restaurant, the barman had to double as waiter on one night, which wasn't very satisfactory. My pork fillet was ordered 'medium' but came 'blue' (very rare) - mistakes happen I guess.

Cons: When driving, hotel was very, very hard to find in oldest part of Toledo (took us 1-1/2 hrs.), with steep hills, one-way streets; people on the streets didn't know of the hotel, or didn't know where it is; or didn't know how to get there by car. GPS had nervous breakfdown. Parking in the nearby garage was expensive (17 euros/night). This was the only Spanish hotel of eight we stayed in that didn't have a computer for use of guests. They advertise a spa, but only a very small exercise room is available free to guests; you can pay for a massage or sauna.

This building was renovated in 2012. It is located on the plaza Zocodover, hub of the city and the Old Town Square itself. Within walking distance we can reach the Alcázar and the Cathedral. On the ground and first floor building there is the reception, where we find the background a restored well from the XIV century, opposite the main entrance, and also a wall from the seventeenth century. The hotel features single, double and triple room with a nice modern functional decor. They are equipped with minibar, internet connection, air conditioning and a plasma TV. Its location, on the Zocodover square, warrants a trip back in time to the most traditional and authentic Toledo.

All brown. - Smell of cooked oil for the 2 days I stayed - Shower drain clogged and gross - Bed springs making lots of noise as soon as you move - AC barely cooling - Asked if I could check-out 30 min later and staff made a face and felt just as if I had asked them to sacrifice their first born!! Reported the issues at the front desk and was told they will make an effort to check. No change to the issues. Was not offered another room or any follow up.

Pros: Our room had a balcony and chairs with a view of the rooftops - great for a glass of wine. Beds were comfy and breakfast was plentiful. Room architecture felt medieval with the heavy wood doors and red accents, definitely fit Toledo! I would recommend this hotel.

Pros: I liked being close to the site-seeing spots. It was easy to access the hotel and we parked for a reduced fee in the nearby parking garage with hotel validation. It was super hot so it was great that hotel had air conditioning. Staff was friendly especially at the restaurant for breakfast. The room had a beautiful view but we had to pay a little extra for that(all that was left when we reserved).

Pros: The staff could not have been more helpful. Their recommendations of what to see & do on such a flying visit, & of where to eat, were spot on. Brilliant!! Would stay here again at the drop of a hat.
