Wheel chairs were requested and confirmed but not provided. Plane was in bad condition. Very old and not maintained. Check in experience was mos horrible. Some inexperienced people in Air India inquiry had no knowledge of how thing work. Check-In people gave very hard time over excess baggage. Tried to charge far more than promised in the Air India confirmation email.
The crew was pleasant and attentive and flight itself was smooth, but the aircraft and equipment was old and broken. My seat was broken, alternate seat provided would not recline, the jack to the entertainment program was broken so somehow managed to survive the 14 hour long flight. I also paid extra to get a premium seat which did not seem like a premium seat. The Indian crew was very pleasant and did their best to help but these issues were beyond their control. Thank you!
Bad food on flight and served only 2 meals. Was starving and quality and choice of food was bad. It was good before TATA took over. Very unsatisfactory
Still not on par with other airlines
Would not recommend this airline. The entertainment system was not working for 75% of the passengers for the whole 13hrs flight. Even though the crews were friendly and their service is excellent, the whole plane ride sucked due to broken entertainment system. The plane itself looks so old inside with so much wear and tear with fading colors of seat covers. Also, you can barley hear the captain's announcement smh
air india needs to improve a lot.
My entertainment center didn’t work and the restroom were closed..
fight reached before time that was good. entertainment was missing alot when you are long traveling. food supplies also poor
None of the TV are working. so is hard to spend 15 hours in air without TV waste of my money. i will never take air India again.
Flight was delayed by more than an hour Very bad service
The flight was horrible
The flight entertainment system for my seat as well as the whole wing didn’t work for the whole flight. This was important given it was a long flight over most of the US day time. There was technical delay of 1.45 hours, making some fliers miss their connection.
Entertainment have a limited option need to be improve & veg food have limited option so improve it Comfort & hospitality are excellent
I upgraded to business class and requested a wheelchair coz my legs are swollen and painful. They sent me from the counter in a wheel chair and put me in a Lumary lounge and then did not come back while the flight is boarding. I had to request multiple times and then my husband had to request several times at the boarding before someone came to pick me up and it was very tense and unpleasant. Except for that everything else is fine.
Need to improve seats tv food snacks and services
Food provided was tasteless and substandard. Entertainment monitors was not working. No blankets were provided when the flight was quite chilly Not of international standard. Made a promise that I will never fly again with Air India.
Many entertainment monitors were not working, seating very uncomfortable— they need to come up with better seats and extra leg room Also most seats in business were empty, too expensive for someone willing to upgrade Food was mediocre, staff was very nice and helpful I really hope Tata revive this airline but this will for sure require a renovation of plane seating Only noticeable difference is better website with ease in buying tickets online Despite the disappointing review I travel to India frequently to help care for aging parents and prefer the nonstop flight, hence continue to travel by Air India
My seat entertainment was not working I'm not sure if that was something additional I had to pay for... My usb on the seat was not working so I couldn't charge my phone. And the seat was incredibly uncomfortable... Gave me back spasms just sitting in it for an extended time... Felt like all the cushion was worn out and needed to be replaced.
No good service
Same reason as the previous flight where the ticket was cancelled.
My flight was cancelled without any notification, which left me stranded at air port. When I contacted the airline they said that the travel agency cancelled the ticket and when I contacted them they said it was the airline. I tried re-scheduling, even that did not work. At the end I paid a lot more and got another ticket to come back home.
The entertainment screen was badly scratched. Moreover, mine didn’t work. I flagged a flight attendant about it to see if he could get it working. He said he’d address it. But he didn’t come back. It took two hours to flag him down again, and when I asked about the screen, he claimed it wasn’t working due to a server error. That’s clearly a lie, because my neighbor’s entertainment system was working—it’s not as if each screen uses a different server. Rank dishonesty in customer service gets a low score from me.
Could have more new movies and I don’t it feasible to provide free wifi. Other than everything was good. I know economy seats are not too comfortable.
Excellent crew. Service was great.
Fantastic flight and crew. Good food, good seat and entertainment selection. All in Economy.
Many seats could not recline including mine. The food was much more limited than in past Air India flights for such a long flight. Many headrest screens were not working including mine. After I switched seats I found that the earbuds were of much poorer quality than in past Air India flights.
Entertainment systems need to be working on long flights, especially when younger children are traveling.
Check-in was okay. The chair arm was shaking all through. No push back feature in the chair
On board Air India flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 55x35x25cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Air India assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
