Amsterdam hotels near Boom Chicago

Cons: It does not have a gym

Cons: We did not realize that we would have to take a tram to the downtown part of Amsterdam where everything was located. If arriving with suitcase from train station, go out the BACK door of Central station and then go down stairs below and look for Tram 12 to get to hotel (2 stops) If not, it's a 10 min walk but a bit tricky initially to find. To go to the Airport, we had to take Tram 12 to Central Station and then the Train 1 stop to the airport. To go to the area of Amsterdam where most of the museums were, we had to take Tram 12 (near hotel & comes frequently) and then change to Tram 6. Since we were there for only 2 days we'd rather just step outside of our hotel and be in walking distance without public transportation. The hotel is basically in suburbia. (About 15 min or so into the City though.) The only option for dinner is their $29 buffet. There is a restaurant 5 min away, Cafe Pistau though that is excellent).

Cons: Actually no

Cons: No washcloth in the bathrooms they don't use them in Amsterdam so bring your own.Parking was 15 euros per day unless you can find a spot outside.

Cons: Everything was great, I plan to return and recommend to all my friends and family.

Cons: They have computers to check yourself in but they still needed staff to assist. Waste of time. Just have staff assist you to check in with the computer. Same amount of time and manpower.

Cons: Too expensive

Cons: Great staff knowledgeable about area and willing to answer questions and provide direction. Rooms are clean.

Cons: Being overcharged/ They cached my deposit and failed to return it! (50 Euros)

Cons: -On the day we checked out a guy came early to see if we left and continued to do so every two hours or so. Once we left we had forgot a bag and went back up he was going through said bag, and freaked out once he saw us. We just took our stuff and left not wanting to make a big deal. We later found out he stole 30 euro from the bag. Not a large amount, but still be wary. This is true everywhere. Never trust your money alone anywhere.

Cons: Couldn't smoke on the rooftop and also didn't have a pool

Cons: The room temperature remained between 23-24 • C and the controls did not serve to lower it. The bed was too soft and one was sinking so much that moving was torture.

Cons: The price was a little steep in the restaurant on the 17th floor since the food wasn't amazing but it was pretty good. I recommend the quesadillas if you like cheese bc that was my favorite. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel!

Cons: Far from city, expensive room, expensive parking, unreliable internet connection.

Cons: A $150 room turned into a $220 room after all the fees and $20 parking.

Cons: The location in West Amsterdam is very far from all major attractions. The tram is very close to the hotel but the trip to Centraal Station is still close to 30 minutes. The bathroom cabinets had fake wood paneling that was peeling off. The carpets in the bedrooms were stained. Overall the room looked distressed with several scuff marks on the walls and other aesthetic issues. I would have paid more for the better living experience and accommodations closer to museums and nightlife.

Cons: Decor-a chair back was broken and not replaced. A large column was in center of first room, a change was requested to a different room. Pre-registration information indicated morning buffet was included which was not the case. Additional room taxes were charged after arrival.. Unable to locate pre-registration made for my guest.

Cons: The maid service was sub standard for a $300+/night hotel. The bed was made but other items were never straightened.

Cons: Our room was on the first floor, so keeping the windows open at night for a breeze did not work out as the street noise was too loud. Our last night we noticed a small visitor in our room, a mouse, who was persistent and did not want to leave. It was our last night so we just said our goodnight to our guest and slept, it's an old building so I don't think it is an "infestation" but rather something that comes with staying in an old, large building.

Cons: It's a bit expensive, and going up and down stairs can be annoying with luggage.

Cons: The room was incredibly stuffy as there was no A/C. We couldn't open the windows at night because the building construction next door started promptly at 7 am and the noise was unbearable with the windows open. Would never had booked here if I knew I would get about 2 hrs of sleep per night. The price was decent but now I know why!

Cons: The bar options. But it was understandable that they were limited due to the fact that it was a boat.

Cons: The last ferry from Central Station leaves at 23:45 and the first one leaves to Central Station at 07:00. But there was a free shuttle 5-7 min to/from the 24 hour shuttle. Had 2 single beds that could not be moved together.

Cons: Pretty straight forward, you're staying on an old cruise boat. Nothing fancy but a room and a shower.

Cons: The internet was so slow, I couldn't post videos (they always timed out) and single pictures could take 15-30 minutes.

Cons: The room was very basic and smelled like urine. It was not a pleasant stay at all. The front desk is not much help either.
