Our trip was to plan my brother's funeral. At the last minute I needed to cancel the trip as we needed to wait for death certificates and could not go to Florida until we have these to present to everyone.. They never answered the phone and when I cancelled the flights on Monday, they charged a cancellation fee on top of not returning any of the cost of the flights. Poor customer service in my opinion.
Nothing, the boarding process snd the baggage handling process for checking & pick up at destination was delayed and confusing
Since flight was late, we missed that flight and had to spend night in terminal :-(
Avoid. Late, super slow to boarding and disembarking. Totally wrong seating for connecting flights that even if it were on time will make you loose your connection.
Keep informed of flight delays and how long. Keeping track of bags better (lost bag and no one really cared)
Once again late… always late recently
Truly one of the worst traveling experiences. No person at the gate until we’ll after we were meant to take off. No information or apology given. Once boarded an hour late very rude service. No water available even at a charge??? They charge for everything. Will never fly frontier again.
Too much charge for the baggage
Worst airline I had 3 connections and I have to pay for carry on in each one 79.00 I prefer Delta you pay a higher price but you don't get surprises and they are more comfortable, they offer snacks and entertainment don't choose Frontier!!
Frontier is the worst airline, they charge for anything and everything you can even get a carry-on bag because you have to pay 79.00 that's ridiculous I will never travel for this airline again
They need to be upfront with their fees. I literally cost me $30 to pick a seat. Just tell the consumer its going to cost $500 and be done with it instead of nickel and dime you without the courtesy of stating costs.
Like the price. That’s about it. You get what you pay for, and I didn’t pay much. I know what I’m getting, and I’m happy with the price. It’s a low end, no frills airline, and that’s why I fly them ALL the time!
Moving the gate across the airport and a 7 hour overnight delay made this awful
Everything was fine except we didn’t leave on time. Will fly with them again though :)
Delayed without updates. Missed a day of work
Flight was An hour late
Frontier double booked my seat. I and another passenger had been assigned the same seat, it was chaos!
I got charged twice for my luggage and was told no refund
Flight was delayed by 3 hrs.
There was a 4 hour delay......not even sure why. The "announcements" at the gate were incoherent. Noone could understand anything that was said or what was going on. If not for the Frontier emails, I would have had no idea about the delay. There was an altercation with a passenger??? Who was extremely irate, using the F word so many times I can't count. She delayed the flight even longer. It was just a horrible flight.
Not a good experience. The purchase, charges, and the hidden information and obligatory Covid test right at the checking moment. Difficulties with the carryons set up.. I won’t recommend this company.
Terrible
Frontier is the worst airline ever. They buckle And dime you for everything. We had to get our bags at our connecting flight and RE CHECK IN AND PAY FOR BAGS TWICE. Atlanta airport was disorganized and the “10min running shuttle” took 55 minutes to come Pick us up. It took us 75 mins to get from international back to domestic and we almost missed our flight. Terrible experience and will NEVER fly with frontier again .
We missed our flight because the line to drop off the checked bag was over an hour long. We then had to wait in another line for over three hours to speak to a representative because they wouldn’t help us over the phone. We were then told we would receive a refund by calling the call center. The call center then said we would receive a credit, not a refund and we needed to use it within 90 days. To top it off they said the exorbitant baggage fees would not be credited. This is not only poor customer service but highway robbery. Thank you for your lousy $69 credit. I hope it’s worth losing a very unhappy customer.
Waited an hour in a hot plane for a PILOT!! As a reward, we received a cool wipe! Not even a 4 Oz bottle of water. One of our suitcases was missing due to the inefficiencies at the Orlando baggage drop off. Put a claim in at Philly Airport.
Was traveling with a family of 4 with 2 toddlers on a Friday afternoon, the flight was on time and the staff was professional, will fly again!
The flight was delayed for a full hour after everyone had boarded with very little information on what was going on. Only 1 announcement was made, that came over 30 minutes after we were expected to leave. It's almost expected with Frontier that things will be delayed. On our inbound flight we were delayed for 90 minutes on the plane upon arrival in Orlando, nobody to get the bridge over and then nobody to open the terminal door. Whether that's the Airport's fault or Frontier, it doesn't really matter. People are now expected to put up with the complete and utter disregard for people's time. In no other industry would this be accepted. And in other countries I've lived (Japan for example), this would never be tolerated. The airline should be ashamed to put this sort of product out there. Further, the lack of complimentary snacks and drinks aside from water, the firmness on baggage being 40lbs or less, the lack of a free carryon, all makes the experience utterly intolerable for me, a longtime traveler.
After being delayed from 1:42 departure to 5:15 I flew to Albany from Fort Lauderdale on Southwest airline. On time. An excellent experience.
Quick boarding. Plane was 3 hrs late
Over all good
On board Frontier flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 60x40x25cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Frontier assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
Frontier offers direct flights to 112 cities in 13 different countries. Philadelphia, Orlando, and Las Vegas are the most popular cities covered by Frontier.
Frontier concentrates most of its flight operations in Denver.
KAYAK is a travel search engine, meaning that we continuously look across the web to find the best deals for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from all airlines, including Frontier.
Focusing predominantly on domestic travel within the United States, Frontier flies to smaller regional locations as well as large cities. Controlling operations from a hub in Denver, the airline reaches more than 105 locations across the United States. Services are also available to international vacation destinations in Mexico, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the Dominican Republic.
Frontier operates as an ultra-low-cost carrier with competitive prices and direct single-leg trips. Fares are kept low by sacrificing luxuries, such as in-flight entertainment devices, while meals and drinks can be purchased as extras. It is a subsidiary of IndiGo Partners, which also controls JetSMART, Volaris, and Wizz Air. A codeshare agreement is held with carrier Volaris, expanding the possible connections between Mexico and the United States.
It is possible to sit in either Economy or Stretch (their version of Premium Economy). The chairs are not designed to recline, meaning the person in front of you won’t encroach on your space. Seats in the Stretch section have roughly an extra 5 in of legroom and a large pull-out tray that is ideal for working on a laptop.
Exclusively Airbus aircraft are chosen for the fleet, with Frontier preferring narrow-body jets like the A320 family. One of the most commonly flown models is the A320neo, which has tremendous fuel efficiency and can carry approximately 186 passengers. The planes have distinctive animals painted on the tails and are all unique images. Among the animals featured are rabbits, dolphins, bears, sea otters, and penguins. The names of the characters appear underneath the cockpit windows.
