Overall the experience was a positive one.
On time and helpful friendly staff
This flight was smooth sailing. However again came off plane and had to run for connecting flight no time to relax cause of first flight being delayed due to the busy vacation lines
My screen on seat didn’t work. Maybe it froze however flight was smooth sailing considering how busy both terminals were. I made my flights with minutes to spare. Had the bag check in opened sooner maybe than I would have been more relaxed instead of rushing to catch plane
I’d highly recommend Iceland Air. Best airline I’ve traveled with in a long time
I be loved first class
Liked business class. Make that affordable
got thrown off the plane , reason: one cew member judge me as a candidate for problems if I would be drinking alcohol during the flight. I told her my plans was to rey sleeping most of the durarion of 8 hour flighttime. airline should have >50 year grumpy women in charge
The seat size was more like a domestic than an international flight. In fact, i would compare the ammenities, quality and service to a short hall ryan air flight, which was unexpected for an international flight. The plane was extremely hot so sleeping was difficult. My biggest complaint was that they are very strict on carry on luggage only allowing it to weigh 10kg/22lb. I try to limit myself to a carryon so i don't have to mess with bagage claim, but the wieght restriction made it impossible. I have never had a carry on weight restriction (at least enforced) on an international flight. Will not be including them in future searches.
There is no food without paying $. Only soft drinks are included in your fare.
Business class offered leg room, wonderful food and great entertainment choices
The trip was beautiful and the Icelander crew was very helpful with us
Large seats, for such a short flight. Good entertainment
The entertainment selection was great. I enjoyed the free beverage, but surprised no snack was given. Seats were a but right for a long haul flight.
they did not check the covid test so that means I could've been exposed in the plane without knowing it.
The check in counter at the airport did not open early enough, I arrived 4 hrs prior to my flight to the airport and waited for 1 1/2 hrs for the counter to open. I already had paid extra for my luggage online for both ways and they did not have any records of it. I had no internet on my phone so I could not download the receipt it should've been added to my itinerary so I was charged TWICE. Terrible online service that info is not sync with the reservation. Also my name was incorrect and they charged $30 for a name change when they had already helped me adjust that in Boston. There is a lot it could've done better. for such a long flight at least some peanuts or a free small snack would be appreciated. TV entertainment did not have a great variety either. definitely not having Icelandair as my first option unless it is way cheaper than other options but I know what I'll be paying for.
Everything about the experience was great! I flew business class so that might be part of the reason. But the food and service was outstanding! The reindeer pate was 👌🏼
We had tickets to sit in first class, but that section was oversold, so we were bumped down to economy. I am very unhappy about that. The employees in the terminal at the check-in desk were very friendly and tried to solve this. They helped us with boarding as first class passengers, and did everything thing else that they could do for us under the circumstances. Since we were sitting in the first row of the economy section on the plane, the flight attendants ignored us, for the most part. We did not receive the first class meal, although any of the economy class food was free. The dehydrated stew was awful. The sandwich was okay.
Iceland Air failed to enforce in-flight mask mandates, despite passenger calls for them to do so. This is not acceptable
Comfortable, clean, friendly
Good Morning - we were unable to take the flight from Dublin to Reykjavik because it was delayed and we couldn't risk missing out connection to Denver. At the beginning of our trip the flight from Reyykjavik to Dublin was canceled without telling us and we had to get a different airline on that leg as well. . . When we called the airline, they were closed and unable to help. When we called Kayak, i couldn't understand the person and they were unable to help as well! We purchased the insurance for the trip and sure hope that we can get some help from Iceland Air and from Kayak.
Never again will I fly to Europe on Icelandair. It took me 1.5 hours to check-in in Berlin (one person working the counter, another one handling the “express” line, no opportunity to get a boarding pass at home), Came to the airport 2 hrs before but after I cleared security, the display showed last call for my flight with 2 min remaining. Ran. Did not shop, did not eat, did not buy food to take onboard. Icelandair sells a limited number of food items (a chicken sandwich - not for a vegetarian - and a cheese pizza as well as several snacks), no complimentary food is served. This is what they call “simplified onboard service”. Connection in Reykjavík was 1hr 25 min, and all of this time I stood in line to clear passport control: again no shopping, no eating, and not even a bathroom break. Arrived home famished and super annoyed. Had to buy headphones on board (is this a budget airline?!) and the selection of movies left much to be desired.
Flight was ok
Flight crew was excellent and I appreciated being addressed as "Dear Passenger." Connecting to wifi was difficult/confusing (and a bit pricey, but that's not unique to Icelandair). No free snacks (beverages only). Passengers were seated with plenty of space between us (flight was not full). Very comfortable economy class on the Boeing 767-300s, less so on the 737-MAXs. While my first flight was delayed due to weather, the connection and return flights were on time and even landed early. If you connect at the Keflavik Airport, do buy the Nordic Deli Green Energy Smoothie--so delicious and refreshing!
Comfortable easy flight
No social distancing on the buses to the plane. no early boarding for 1st class. But staff was terrific in handling delicate situations.
Flight attendant in Saga class was outstanding!! Could be more current entertainment choices...and wish they had a better business class seat.
I bought insurance and everything cancelled 1 month ahead of time all they gave me was a sorry and no refund back even with premium service attached.
Very nice flight.
Poor selection of movies. Perhaps 30 or 40 movies available and none of them "new" in the last 6 or 12 months. Seat was fairly hard -- tough for 6 hour flight from Reykjavik to Chicago!
On board Icelandair flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 55x40x20cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Icelandair assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
