|Top route||Cockburn Harbour South Caicos to Providenciales|
Pros: Nothing!!! Horrible airline with horrible staff members.
Cons: Everything. The staff and crew of Intercaribbean airlines are very unprofessional and not helpful at all. On top of the flight delays all the luggage for that particular flight was left in Kingston. Everybody was rather nonchalant and unapologetic about the situation. I was told I would get the the following day. The next day only two of my three bags showed up. I was not compensated for the inconvenience and was told point blank that they will only deliver one of my bags to my address even though they were the reason I had NONE of my luggage in the first place. They are disgusting!!! I would never recommend this airline to anyone.
Pros: Nice people
Cons: A long walk to the D3 gate, but there were no amenities there I.e. snacks (to be fair a new terminal is under construction)
Cons: There was no air. I understand when you are on the ground it can be limited but even after getting to altitude there was no air conditioning.
Cons: Not be late.
Cons: The flight was delayed for over three hours, apparently it is a regular occurence.
Pros: almost nothing
Cons: The plane had a problem that forced us to turn around right after take off and as of this writing we still don’t know what’s going on or how long we are stuck here. Planes are old and apparently maintenance could be better.
Cons: Was a bit difficult understanding the flight attendant, she had a thick Spanish accent
Pros: Crew was good. Got there safely!
Cons: Maintenance issue caused us to have to get back off the plane, causing delay. Better safe than sorry, though!
Cons: Communication..The flight was delayed
Pros: Perfectly adequate hop.
Cons: Plane is pretty noisy.
Pros: The crew member was memorable in a great way. Enjoyed his job and it showed.
Cons: Too small..uncomfortable ride
Cons: Arrived admittedly later than i normally would due to ferry issues but it should’ve been plenty of time to board the flight. No one was at the check in area and 20 min later when we located someone from intercaribbean we were told it was now too late but we could get a refund but later refused
Pros: The Price.
Cons: The services in the counter was awful. And the flight eas late.
Cons: Flight was late
Intercaribbean needs to improve
Pros: Flew from San Juan to Tortola. Flight was delayed, didn't inform us at check in. More importantly, when we took off an hour and a half late, they didn't load ANY of the bags on the flight!! None of the passengers on our plane received their checked bags. We waited over 20 minutes before they informed us no bags were coming. Then told us they didn't know where the bags were. We called at 4:30, they said they had our bags and would put on the 6:30 ferry. Went to meet ferry, no bags. Called again, first woman said they didn't know where our bags were. When I explained everything she was able to locate them, thankfully, and they ended up on 9pm ferry. Communication needs to be better!!
Slow check in
Pros: The service was ahead of schedule and the flight attendant was attentive.
Cons: The check in process was a bit lengthy and the aircraft has seen better days.
Very poor as relates to Kayak.
Cons: Our Frontier flt to San Juan from RDU was 4.5 hours late. We tried to reschedule for 3 hours but could no. Finally paid $340 for new ticket from same carrier Intercaribbean wor 11:00 am Flight tomorrow. I f Kayak doesn’t help me I will report and file complaint any way possible.
Pros: nice stewardess, fast clean plane
Cons: it was over 1 hour late, and no one would tell us the status of the flight. had to call 877# to find out if they were cancelling or just late. last week they just cancelled with no reason left customers screwed
Cons: The flight was delayed for over 40 minutes and passengers were not informed, I almost missed my connection.
Good , no frills
Pros: Staff was friendly, flight attendant was friendly and helpful with customs forms.
Cons: Counter and boarding gate was down in a very delapidated area of the airport and far away from shops and services. Impresssion was that a professional presentation is not important. Small sandwich sign marks entrance to check -in.
Pros: Baggage arrived. Short flight and water is provided. No snacks we're necessary.
Charged for a second ticket and a transfer fee
Cons: My previous flight by Southwest landed an hour late causing me to miss my connector with InterCarribean by two minutes. Ten minutes after the plane departed, I called the InterCarribean online booking number to get on a flight later that day. After I got off of the phone and received my emailed receipt, I saw that I was charged the full price of the flight later that day and charged a $50 fee for adjusting my departure time without being refunded my initial ticket fare. However, I had called 20 minutes after my initial flight had taken off so I shouldn't have been charged a $50 transfer fee plus the cost of a second ticket ($170). So at the end of the day I bought two tickets for different flights plus a $50 transfer fee. I am hoping that maybe I can get this corrected but not overly hopeful. After getting confirmation that I had a seat on the second flight, I went to check in but there was no place to check in unless I exited through baggage claim and go to the primary check-in desk. Since I only had a carry-on I wanted to avoid having to stand in line and go through security again this but there were no InterCarribean locations on the concourses until my 6pm flight four hours later. I went to the main check-in desk and stood there for 90 minutes for a person to come out to man the desk. After I got my boarding pass, everything was OK.
Fine island hop
Pros: Low tech luggage screening, security, and boarding. Like the old days.
Cons: Plane is a little tired, and it's best days are behind it.
Cons: Having to look so hard for the airline
Pros: flight was great and on time, flight attendant was excellent
Cons: was at the ticket counter too long due to a computer malfunction
Pros: The flight was smooth and the landing was excellent.
Cons: The stewardess has a bad smell. The plane was not properly clean. There were flies in the plane.
My most unprofessional flight experience in 40 years
Pros: We made it safely ... nothing else.
Cons: 1. Couldn't find location of gate for 3 hours - not posted 2. Rude crew 3. Plane parked 1/3 to 1/2 mile from gate - walked with bags 4. Had to ask crew to take & stow bags 5. Arrival parking of plane long distance with no light.
On Time Caribbean Flights!!
Pros: This small airline that we used for out islands in Turks & Caicos was punctual and accurate with baggage, which is awesome when visiting the islands. Our first flight was only 30 minutes late and our return was early. Amazing. Great people.
Cons: The planes are seriously dated and they ripped a brand new bag but that’s it
Cons: Flight attendant fall asleep, crew on the cabin was calling her by plane signals (light + sounds), did not respond, they opened the door and finally passengers shout her to let her know about the requested assistance at the cabin.
Pros: Only three persons on the flight
Cons: Boatding information
Cons: Missed flight because of carrier at origin. Condor staff was cold and unhelpful. Stated repeatedly they have nothing to do with the issue that I have to take it up with kayak. Basically it was my problem.
Pros: The pilot landed the phone wonderfully.
Cons: The plane was tight. There was no food served. The flight was late. The plane was hot.
Pros: Prompt and on time.
Pros: Great service. Went out of their way to make sure everyone got checked in boarded
Cons: The part of the airport we left out of is so far away from good restaurants or shops! It's like the boonies of the airport
Pros: We have an excellent experience
Pros: Great staff
Very helpfull, and accomodating, easy .
Pros: Everything is fine
Pros: First time flying on Inter Carib and they are great.
Great customer service
Pros: Customer service from beginning to end was awesome. They came through in a clutch for me - last minute flight. I really appreciated their efforts and again, great Customer service. I will definitely fly with them again.
Pros: Greaser landings!
Pros: Short flight.. Smooth landing... that s all we can ask for
Missed flight due to delay with AA out of Miami
Pros: How can I retrieve my return flight on May 7th?
Cons: Airport personnel in San Juan very unhelpful
Pros: It was a 35 minute flight, no food, no entertainment and no complaints :-)
Pros: The staff was frendly and made the experience enjoyable
Cons: Finding the check-in counter in San Juan was a chanllenge
Delay of flight cost our party hundreds of dollars
Cons: Agents s/ow/confused at check in regarding routine paperwork ? Flight was delayed (not weather) and our party of 8 missed ALL connecting flights. Their delay cost us hundreds of dollars in rebooking fees, etc... , time lost, pick up issues at final destination. Would advise against this airline. There will be direct flights from miami to beef island later this year with a different airline. Wont be using this line again.
Cancelled flight without being told
Cons: They cancelled my flight without telling me. I had to hunt all over the airport for an attendant and finally was told 10 min before departure that it was cancelled!!!
Worst airline I've been on
Cons: Plane was unknowinglyour delayed. Then we boarded only to be taken off the plane and made wait for over four hours. No one came to give us flight info and after calling both the airline and their customer service dept. was hung up on and never called back. Would never suggest this airline to anyone trying to get around the caribbean.
Pros: great for what it is
Cons: no lone likes small planes when it rains
A bit late but fine.
Pros: Clean plane, nice staff.
Cons: Typical commuter flight delay.
Pros: The bags were on time and he got me to my destination safely .The plane is also comfy.
Cons: They were not on time . The pilot wasn't doing much talking as he should, he introduced his self when we got in the air when ,he should have before .
Good, basic airline
Pros: Arrived early!!!! Can access free Wi-Fi from security area.
Cons: Have to clear security each time you run to bathroom or restaurant.
Flight was late
Pros: The flight was smooth. It was raining on the way to the airplane and they gave us weather ponchos so we would get too wet. That was a nice touch.
Cons: The flight was late and they put us on a smaller airplane which took a lot longer to get to Puerto Plata. Plus there is no bathroom on this smaller plane.
Stress free and on time
Pros: Very hassle-free experience. Easy check-in, on time departure and timely baggage return at the other end.
Cons: Neither pilot gave the legally required briefing on emergency exits and communication was minimal (put on your seatbelt and we'll be there in 30 minutes), though as a licensed pilot myself, I thought that their operation of the aircraft was safe and proper.
Pros: Poor communication , problem with computer check in system stood in- line for over an hour without any communication from the staff as to what the issue was .Not until less than a half an hour before takeoff time did they finally contact a manger, prompted by the customers, and decide to write up boarding passes there should've been more communication between the customer and the check in staff when there is such a delay, everybody was anxious not knowing what to expect about departure and assurance to make connecting flights. Otherwise the customers understand computer issues, but a little info about possible alternate solutions goes a long way
Cons: Pilot and copilot excellent flight flawless
Pros: The desk agents were efficient and the flight departed on time.
Actually left early!
Pros: Loved early start.
Cons: little warm. Seats very little leg room but very short trip so ok
Cons: Lack of profesionalism... Flight cancelled
Delays and Steep Baggage Fees
Pros: Staff were cooperative and apologetic for delays
Cons: 2nd bag cost me $75 for an international flight 1st bag weight max is 44lbs from PLS to NAS. Too light for such a steep second bag fee! Flight was 30mins late.
interCaribbean Airways aims to serve the countries and territories spread across the Caribbean Sea. From a hub in Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands, local and vocational travel is available to three domestic destinations. It plays a major role in connecting the isolated islands and is one of only a few airlines to operate in the region. The carrier is recognized as the flag carrier for the Turks and Caicos Islands.
International routes traveled by interCaribbean Airways reach the Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands. A wide-reaching network is spread across the West Indies region, including Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Saint Martin, and Saint Lucia.
Only Economy fares are offered, meaning passengers are destined to have similar experiences and enjoy the absence of class separation. A carry-on bag weighing no more than 10 lb is permitted per customer. Complimentary checked luggage is also provided, with weights varying between 44 lb and 70 lb depending on the route flown. Baggage allowances are generally lighter at smaller airports across the West Indies and heavier on larger islands in the Caribbean.
A combination of Embraer, Britten-Norman and de Havilland aircraft are used by interCaribbean Airways. The most commonly flown model is the Embraer 145 jet, which has twin turbofan engines and the capacity to hold 50 passengers. Planes in the fleet are decorated with a yellow stripe that extends along half of the fuselage and onto the tail. The other colors of the Turks and Caicos Islands flag (blue, pink and green) also feature on the jets.
