Montreal hotels near Square Victoria

Cons: Did not include breakfast or parking. We walked 10 minutes for parking ($15 a night vs $28 at hotel)

Cons: The restaurant was not open 7 days a week

Cons: Weekend party location, euro-style shower

Cons: Street noise, unreliable hot water!

Cons: Technology for TV's was hard to use and unresponsive.

Cons: The series of elevators from parking to reception could be better identified. The pathway wasn't as intuitive as I am ussd to.

Cons: I feel that for the price that I paid the rooms need to be renovated I've stayed in Montreal at other hotels much much better for less money carpet in the room was old Uchitel the shower was very bad need some improvement

Cons: Shower was slightly weak (that is being very picky). There is a set of elevators to get to the lobby from the lobby, just a slight inconvenience but increases security. Could have info on transportation to airport on their site.

Cons: The rooms were not as modern as the lobby, but it wasn't a big deal for me.

Cons: Room was not as pretty as expected. Bathtub was meh.

Cons: The breakfast is a little expensive, there is poor signaling for the lobby, and since it is in the 6th floor it is a little tricky to find it

Cons: We had trouble getting the room to warm up in the morning. I thought the listing said their pool was not open yet and so I didn't bring a swimsuit and missed the chance to use the pool. Also, Kayak, you confirmed my reservation but I never saw anything about printing a voucher so the front desk needed me to present my confirming email.

Cons: Outdated rooms although the lobby has gotten a makeover.

Cons: Exchange rate was very disappointing at front desk. Pool closes too early, 9pm. Sauna and steam room is 24 hours.

Cons: The only minor hassle was in trnsferring from elevators... but again... very minor.

Cons: (1) Cheap Mattress (2) Room Decor & Furniture ok for the brand & money (3) Curtains had tiny holes in them (4) Bathroom Wall was not painted after some repair...rusty look left visible (5) Cammode shaky when you sit on it (6) Rooms not as bright, suggest putting LED WHITE lights instead

Cons: A bite dated. Windows are not clean rooms were dated. NO FREE WIFI NO FREE PREMIUM TV. Concierge was least approachable I have seen in a long time. All in all at $200 per night all in there are better options nearby(Marriott, Sheraton, etc). Look elsewhere

Cons: There is no wifi and you have to purchase it for $14.95 a night. Many peeople are travelling abroad to Canada and not having internet access is painful.

Cons: Although the beds & pillows were new...the blankets were substandard---threadbare & flat "down" comforters, old & melted blankets (I believe these were "fuzzy" blankets at one time)...that were sticky to the touch. The walls were VERY thin and we heard a young couple arguing well into the night...security did come to address the issue and there was no other trouble after that. The next day, the management listened to our comments and I feel they are working on some of the above issues.

Cons: Elevator system is a mess. Slow and you have to switch several times to get to where you need to so it feels slow and in efficient Some staff are rude - very European wanna-be. Others are polite and service oriented as one would expect Check in at 4pm seems a little ridiculous IMO

Cons: The rooms were mediocre in terms of clean and space. Needed refurbishing - carpet looked shabby. You need to link the little store to the hotel - it was inconvenient to not be able to charge items to the room

Cons: Shuttle drivers are sometimes in bad mood but they don't work for the hotel so they don't control that part of business

Cons: The restaurant had a great staff and atmosphere; however, the food left for something to be desired.

Cons: There is nothing I found to complain of.

Cons: While the food at the restaurant was excellent, there wasn't an option of a Café for quick lunch and breakfast. The cost for meals was therefore very steep.

Cons: Not having a pool or ice and the smell. Also we could have been told ahead about the renovations and/or offered a discount for the state the place is in.

Cons: Extended restaurant & bar hours would be useful.

Cons: I've stayed at many Sheraton hotels in the past, and have always left completely satisfied with what I expected from the hotel chain; top notch service. During this stay, sadly I did not receive that same service. I originally booked a room with 2 Queen size beds for 2 nights as advertised on Kayak and reconfirmed with hotel staff when I called in to update my credit information. Upon arrival, I was told that my room was not what was guaranteed and that according to their computers I booked a room with 1 King size bed. My friend and I again mentioned that it was confirmed over the phone by one of their front desk reps, no extra steps to try and find accommodations other then to take a room with one bed and a pullout couch. The manager on duty made no attempts to even check sister locations for an available room with 2 beds. She even went as far as to imply that i blame myself for not booking earlier as that weekend was Osheaga weekend in Montreal. I BOOKED A MONTH IN ADVANCE!!! We ended up having to take the room with the pull out couch and were given free parking passes for our troubles. We asked for extra pillows and blankets to be sent to the room as well. Instead we were told that there were no more extra pillows and blankets available as they were at full capacity but they would see what they could do... We were brought a measly throw to use. The next morning with people checking out, we approached the front desk and asked if it was possible to have our original booking. The front desk rep told us that they were able to accommodate us after all, all we had to do was make sure all of our belongings were packed and ready to be moved to the new room and when we get back we just had to pick up our new key card at front reception. After repacking, and heading out for the day; we came back to NO SUCH CHANGES. No we could not move, no other accommodations blah blah blah. Went back to our room expecting it to be at least cleaned... THEY HADN'T EVEN BOTHERED TO CLEAN OUR ROOM. I am never staying at this particular location again.

Cons: A lot of construction going on around the hotel with some noise.

Cons: The staff was over worked and seemed t not want to be bothered with guest comaints .

Cons: - no valet parking - tiny small room - no proper door for the washroom with a broken lock - understaffed in the dining room only 2 servers and one pretty boy supervisor not much of a helper - over priced - the rooms are not sound proofed at all - needs renovation asap!

Cons: Front desk staff member did not greet nor ask if I had ever been there. Did not tell us anything about the facility or amenities the hotel offered. Seemed aggravated that I had booked with an outside agency. Room was not cleaned one day & had to chase someone down to get it cleaned. Rooms need a little facelift.

Cons: -Hotel employees were on strike and it was uncomfortable to cross picket lines, some amenities unavailable, but overall regular service seemed unaffected.

Cons: Small bathroom and lack of inexpensive television options.

Cons: When I booked with Kayak the price was $195/night but I ended up paying $239/night + taxes.

Cons: Pricey buffet. Didn't eat there because of cost. 25 dollars per person. Wifi only worked well in the closet or bathroom locations, in our room. The exterior and interior of the hotel are concrete. So, at first I had a feeling of being incarcerated. However, I adjusted and realized many buildings Montreal are similarly constructed.

Cons: That we didn't have more time

Cons: room upholstery is a bit dingy

Cons: Inside the hotel was very cold

Cons: Staff was not very friendly upon check in although the housekeeping service was very responsive and the concierge was enthusiastic.

Cons: The only things I can think of is that the walk to the rooms can be a little long, due to the unusual layout and the fact that there are only 2 elevators between the street level and the lobby on the 10th floor. And guests should be aware that there will be short stairways between the lobby area and the hallways for the rooms. The drain in our tub was quite slow, but we let management know and they said the situation would be fixed before the next guest came. There is not a lot going on in the immediate area around the hotel, particularly at night (but there is a large train station across the street with multiple food options, including late fast food and a 24 hour Tim Horton's, and hotel is connected through convention center to underground passages and Metro station).

Cons: A hotel the size of the Bonaventure could really use three hot tubs, especially since (unlike many hotels) the pool is so popular. We thought the hotel restaurants were a little expensive, although there are some reasonable dining options in the levels below Place Bonaventure. The carpeting in the hallways looks very worn, but on closer inspection, it's the pattern.

Cons: What I didn't like is the fact that through no fault of ours, we were not there for the first nhight. Our plane was late leaving ORD and when we arrived in LaGuardia the connecting flight was cancelled and we could not get out of NYC until the next day. If we booked directly with the hotel they would have given us a refund but, we could not get a refund because we booked through Kayak. I would really appreciate a refund for that first night from Kayak. I never used Kayak before and I think this would be good customer service. Thank you!

Cons: Comfort

Cons: Too loud at night, unable to rest well.

Cons: The hotel needs an update. It's efficient but it feels a little dated.

Cons: Didn't like the half a dozen hairs that were in my bathtub upon checking in. And I really didn't like the three attempts by staff to get into my room before checkout, the first being at 8:00am with no knock. If check out is at 11:00am, then please respect my privacy and right to comfort in the room that I have paid for.

Cons: At least include the breakfast lol

Cons: They didn't replace the coffee pack we used the first morning.
