Flew from Halifax to Toronto with a stop in Ottawa. Once we landed in Ottawa were informed the flight was canceled. Claimed personnel reasons. Doesn’t make sense since we already flew to Ottawa remained on the plane for the continued flight to Toronto.
Tim Hortons in the Terminal would nice, $25 for three coffee and three muffins is a bit steep. Other than that everything was great
Porter was good. However, the Gotogate was misleading. I bought a flexible on Gotogate and that same flexible on porter equated to a basic. I couldn’t even print out a boarding pass. Porter on the other hand should not nickel and dime you on everything. Not to flexible when it comes to helping you. I have TSA which they saw come up but wouldn’t print out.
My first flight was cancelled, the crew could not put me on standby for any subsequent flight the same day, I was rebooked on a flight for the following day which defeated the purpose of my trip. I had to take a taxi to a different airport and buy a new plane ticket, and when I called Porter on the phone they were not helpful in allowing me to file a complaint or request compensation. My return flight was delayed significantly. Overall, poor experience.
Do not book with budgetair.com. They will change your fare ticket and force you to buy more and refuse to help you.
Nice people to travel with
Wonderful team, very friendly
Smooth flight
The flight was delayed for more than 2 hrs. The plane was changed and staff couldn’t count people so we had to wait even longer while waiting for take off.
Flight delayed until next day due to storms. Had to spend night in hotel in Newark AT OUR OWN expense.
Great service, decent price. Most convenient airline if you’re located downtown Toronto!
The crew on Porter is always fantastic! However, our plane just did not show up for 2 hours and we were not offered any explanation or compensation. After this delay, we then had to wait for Porter in Toronto to come up with a landing plan, creating further delays and this plan didn't even work because once we got to Toronto we had to circle the airport until we could land because there was another plane on the runway. I know that in travel unexpected things can happen, but I think this could have been handled in a more professional way. Staff on the plane, and in the Island airport were fantastic!
Porter is always amazing. I feel like a VIP when I fly with you!
It’s expensive for the service.
on time!!
Turbulence meant no beer/beverages on the way to DC. That's fine - but they could have refunded the money they saved from not serving it to passengers instead of just pocketing it.
No entertainment on a short flight…. Boston to Toronto
No issues with Porter Airlines, however STOP SELLING ANY VIA JUSTFLY.COM THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE!
Flight delays both going and return flights
Excellent behavior of pilot and crew Very good take off landing On time schedule Recommendation: Better to avoid charges on check in luggage
Very smooth take off and landing Excellent behavior of crew and pilots
Friendly, courteous and professional staff. Clean planes.
Communication at the gate was adequate. Boarding was orderly. Seats are decent, with a reasonable amount of leg room. Flight was only 1.5 hours, so only a modest snack service (short bread cookie or small bag of chips) and a drink (coffee, tea, soda, cup of beer or wine). Exiting the plane was also orderly. Overall the flight was fine and the price reasonable.
Flight was supposed to be at 3 didn’t fly out until 6:30
Pros: Nice lounge. Fast boarding & disembarkment
Pros: Nothing
Cons: There is a Covid-19 outbreak and this airline refused to change my flight. They are a disgrace.
Cons: Return checking by Porter staff
Pros: Originally: a low fare
Cons: Flight oversold, travelers bumped. Flight delayed while they kicked people off the flight.
Pros: Cheap fares but may not be worth it
Cons: Flight delayed and oversold. Was told I might be bumped because mine was the lowest fare type. Wouldn’t fly Porter again if that is how they run their airline.
Pros: Great value. Free beverages including a small selection of beer, wine and whiskey. Otherwise no frills, no with, no entertainment. Short haul flights, no problem. Best bargain airline
Cons: There is a fee to change your assigned seat US$10-20(?), regardless of whether it's a "better" seat. Fortunately, this trip our seats (family of three) were near where we wanted to be. But, it would have been disappointing to have to pay for each seat change for each leg, each way.
On board Porter Airlines flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 55x40x23cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Porter Airlines assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
