Pros: Crew attentive and kind
You changed my ticket but made an error
Pros: The flight itself was fine.
Cons: I received an email that my ticket had been changed. In stead of a layover in Yantai, the new ticket said I had a layover in Qingdoa. I went to check in and the Shandong airlines employees said that both tickets had been cancelled. Thankfully they gave me a free ticket to Yantai, but were completely different time. I am very upset with Kayak or whoever changed my times.
Good airline
Pros: Professional staff
Pros: Very good food
Regular fly
Pros: Crew was very nice and attent
Cons: Boarding was very bad organized, the fly was with shangdong airlines instead air china, which was confused at the beggining, also the space between seats was very short and seats were too hard.
Convenient
Pros: Direct flight from Jinan to BKK. Crew were nice.
Cons: Food was cheap. Beverage service/options not good.
Ctrip can actually book a flight
Cons: Kayak should not offer flights they cannot book them send constant e-mails making it look like they are charging you for a flight they can't book.
Cons: Didn't even make it to Qingdao
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Couldn't check my bags all the way to SFO. Had to pick up my bags and then checked in again with a different airline.
The airline didn't have its personnel there on time
Cons: There was a backup on the highway to the airport, but that doesn't mean their staff should have no contingencies.
Sanya to ZZ
Pros: Beautiful and friendly crew. Spoke some English and very kind
Cons: A little disorganized in boarding. Not able to use cellphone in airplane mode during flight
Pros: The crew was fantastic, were consistently professional and pleasant through a very difficult situation.
Cons: Boarding time was the same as standard flights, when this route is on a Chinese shopping destination. Plane was delayed 30 minutes because half of the passengers needed to check luggage at the gate. Either boarding should be earlier, or the one bag per passenger rule should be enforced before getting to the gate. Nearly half the plane had brought at least two or three carry-on suitcases.
Great service friendly staff
Pros: On time, good service and very reasonable priced. Plane was clean and fairly new.
Cons: Food and drinks could be better.
No internet on the flight, but breakfast was good.
Pros: They had passcodes for certain people, but when they ran out no one else could use the internet...I was one of those people who couldn't use the internet. Dinner wasn't great, but breakfast was good. They had some options to learn Chinese on the tv.so that was fun.
Cons: No internet
Dowgrade
Cons: I paid for first class but was told when I checked in at the airport that there was no first class. Moreover, the airline did not automatically provide an economy seat for me. Instead, when I arrived at the airport, I was told that I did not have a seat on the flight. Only after finding an agent who spoke English and 45 minutes of discussion did they provide me with a seat in economy. That said, they owe me at least a partial refund but did not provide any information about how I can obtain it.
Pros: Everything was great with the exception of the seats
Cons: Seats - very hard
Awesome flight
Pros: Brand new planes and great service.
Mysterious Check-in & Sky-high luggage fees
Cons: The check-in was confusing, as it was done at a Air China terminal, and Air China staff seemed unaware of this. Since when did less then two bags become standard? The "extra" bag fee for the second bag was high (about $80USD).
Pros: Can sleep very well without disturbances
Cons: Breakfast was awful
Pros: On time boarding, early arrival
Cons: Chinese people
Pros: Boarding on time, early arrival
Cons: Chinese people
Pros: On time and fast boarding
Cons: Nothing
On board Shandong Airlines flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 55x40x20cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Shandong Airlines assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.

Shandong Airlines is a company that is based in China and operates a selection of domestic and international flights. When flying with this airline, you have the opportunity of going to many countries throughout Asia, such as Cambodia, India, Japan, and South Korea.
This airline is primarily owned by two other companies, which are Shandong Aviation Group and Air China, an airline that is known for being the country’s flag carrier. Additionally, it maintains codeshare agreements with a variety of other companies, with some examples being Asiana Airlines, China Express Airlines, and Uni Air. In 1997, it helped found the New Star Aviation Alliance, which consists of five other domestic airlines that operate in the same region.
Flights operated through this airline offer three main travel classes, which are Economy, Business, and First. While an Economy ticket will give you access to standard services, like the option of using the plane’s entertainment system, Business will give you a seat with additional legroom, the option of checking a bag for free, and complimentary alcoholic beverages. If you fly in First Class, you will have priority check-in, priority boarding, and a seat that converts into a bed.
Shandong Airlines has a fleet of almost 125 planes that are either Boeing or COMAC. When operating long-haul flights, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 is the aircraft that is most commonly used, as it can fit up to 168 passengers and has a large fuel capacity. For medium-range flights, the Boeing 737-800 is the best choice, as it can hold approximately 159 passengers and is spacious.
