I had a horrible experience. The cars were falling apart. The roads in the area we rented are rough and I understand that its not cost effective to invest an abundance of money on the vehicles to be destroyed. I am also keeping in mind that the resources of where I visited are limited, but if you're going to rent out cars for others to drive there is a certain level of care you need to take for safety, at absolute minimun. We were refunded a portion of our money, but I will never use Budget again.

The staff was awesome!!! Very friendly.Maybe a map around Antigua and better tires on the car we rented. For the type of terrain we were driving in the tires were weak. It was scary to think we could have gotten a flat at any moment not really knowing where things were located. But overall adventurous and great little car for our trip!

First car offered had over 150,000 Km and was filthy inside. Both the AC and the power windows didn’t work. They agreed to give us another car which we accepted, but that one too had a broken passengers side power mirror whose motor was constantly running.

This place is a small parking lot owned by local mechanic. All cars are old and in terrible condition. I’ve had to return two cars as both had mechanical issues. Second car tire got flat over night after one day use. Don’t expect to see any real Budget quality I went to other rental Thrifty and got a perfect car for the rest of my trip. STAY AWAY from Budget on Antigua island!!!

We booked a rental car with Budget, when going to pick up the car they told us they didnt have any car for us. they had our reservation, but no car! We were told that this do happen and that they in those cases handed us over to Hertz instead. At Hertz we had to argue that we would have the same deal, as their cheapest car was gonna be $10 more expensive than the deal we had confirmed with Budget. This is absolutely ridiculous. We book a car, had a confirmation, then they dont actually have the car, ship us over to someone else and we have to pay a much more expensive price! At Hertz we told them that the confirmation we had stated $25 per day, so the lady was going to clear it with the manager as this was lower than what their standard prices. The representative came back after a few minutes and told us that they could do the $25 for us, as she had cleared it with her manager. Foolishly of us, we did not double check this! They had a holding of $500 on our card, and when we asked what the total was we were told that it would be deducted from the $500 and the rest was going to be released again. We asked twice about the total and she did not tell us. We later realised that she had put $35 per day, instead of the $25 as verbally agreed, so obviously this was the reason why she didnt tell us the total! We feel very cheated by the behavior of both Budget who didn't uphold the confirmation that they had a car for us and by the representative at Hertz who fully knew what she was doing!!

Brought the car to the hotel, is about all the positive I could write about.Just about everything else, currently in communication with budget, regarding how dangerous, dirty and scary to drive the vehicle provided was.

Staff was friendly.The car was dented all over, bumper coming off, rubber seal on the passenger side rear door falling off made door almost impossible to latch, water came through floorboard when it rains, and trunk could not be closed by my wife because she lacked the slamming force to make it latch. And more.....
