If you are planning to have a car rental at Telluride Airport, you should be 23 years old and above. You should have a valid driver’s license, and if you are a foreigner in the town, you should accompany it with your passport and national identification card. If your driving license is written in a different language apart from English, it should come with an English translation. Also, you should have a debit or credit card to facilitate payments.
You can choose your preferred car model from Telluride Airport car rental companies depending on the number of people and pieces of luggage you possess. For instance, if you are moving in a pair with two books, you should consider using an economy car rental. If you are in a pair of two with two pieces of luggage, you should consider renting a compact car. If you are traveling as a family of five, each with a bag, you should consider booking premium, luxury, or supplier-choice cars.
Telluride Airport, the most highly rated location for car rentals in Telluride, offers special services to people such as individuals with limited mobility, parents traveling with kids, and those traveling during the winter seasons. For instance, there are several cars mounted on special devices such as hand controllers, flexible driver seats, and pedal extenders which may be used by individuals with limited mobility at no extra coin. Parents with kids should book a car with a child seat, booster seat, or infant seat for the child's comfort. Those traveling during winter can use the winter cars, which are fixed with winter tires, heated seats, heated steering wheels, and fog lights at no extra cost.
The only car rental company that offers shuttle or pick-up services from Telluride airport to off-airport locations is Hertz.

Stuck driving a cargo van with "Hertz" plastered on the side through the Rocky Mountains. Not the easiest of drives in a vehicle I was not comfortable driving.6.0 Okay

Pros:
Pick up and drop off was quick and easyCons:
Car was much smaller than expected. Said Nissan Pathfinder or similar (and I know it says not guaranteed) but we got a Kia Sorento which was a lot tighter than we were planning for. Had to have bags in laps/etc. Why not just tell us exactly the car we were reserving? Doesn't seem that hard10.0 Wonderful

Reservation was made FINE months ago! When I arrived, they had NO automobiles available for rental at all!5.6 Fair
Feb 2017
Cons:
The final price was higher than promised. $419 versus $368 due extra taxes and fees charged by airport authority. Reason stated was rental was made at an offsite location. However, the offsite location does not rent cars. The day before rental Enterprise called to confirm pickup. Stated the pickup would be at the airport. The clerks would not honor the rental agreement. I was not told of the extra fees and taxes until drop off.One location in Telluride Airport

Pros:
Friendly efficient staff, nice car.Cons:
Price. Current shortages meant that a rental that cost $98 several months ago, cost $480 on my most recent trip. This was true for all rental companies, not just Alamo. One location in Telluride Airport
