Pros: Close to everything in Waikiki but not in the midst of the resorts
Cons: Dirty stain/spot on floor in bathroom next to tub was there every day even after cleaning. All else was nice.

Excellent8.2
Pros: It is a fantastic facility. I enjoyed my stay
Cons: Nothing I didn't like
Excellent10.0
Excellent9.1
Pros: Very clean & comfortable
Cons: Expensive
Okay5.1
Pros: The spa is awesome.
Cons: We spent 2 nights here, it doesn't worth the money. The hotel in Wakiki is generally expensive, but if you want a 4 star experience, choose hotels like Sheraton or Westin. Need to pay extra for wifi, parking, even water after first night. The room is quite small for a 4 star standard.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The hotel was amazing - the room was very clean and modern. The view was beautiful (we got 26th floor which helped). The free parking and one free breakfast was very valuable (depends on your package). I loved that we had free beach towels that we could take awAy and return daily.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Out of waikiki, room views
Excellent10.0
Pros: Whenever we asked for service, (maintenance, engineer, housekeeping), they came within 5 minutes.
Excellent9.4
Pros: The hotel was under renovation but the staff was so amazing. It totally made our stay. Will surely stay in the future.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Everyone on the staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are immaculate and the view is amazing With the Renovation Discount it was about Half price maybe even less than half and absolutely an great value
Cons: Nothing
Excellent8.2
Pros: Staff accomadate late check out
Cons: Balcony
Excellent10.0
Pros: front desk staff, courteous professional bar staff, main lobby friendly helpful
Good6.8
Pros: The hotel is nice. The views are pretty. The staff were courteous and helpful. It's clean. The location downtown is close to most everything.
Cons: It's not on the beach, which isn't a deal breaker, but I wasn't feeling the "Hawaiian vibe". It just wasn't there. Everything closes super early, even the hotel bar and it's all sub par, nothing too fabulous. I guess the word I could use that would fit this hotel is generic. It's not holiday inn generic, but it's definitely not worth the price, the parking fees, or the resort fee. I didn't feel like I really fit in too well either. If you're a tourist to Hawaii and you'll barely spend time at the hotel, this is the one if you're willing to pay the price. I also didn't feel like I fit in here. If you're coming from Japan though, you'll fit right in.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Incredible technology in the room! The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. The decor is nice and the amenity kit is great.
Cons: The room wasn’t dirty, but it wasn’t spotless either. We had to request items that were supposed to be part of our welcome package. Our room was not serviced until late afternoon.

Pros: Beautiful room! I recieved an upgrade to the penthouse and the views were amazing! Also the bartender is really great!
Cons: The power went out during our first night there. We actually got stuck on the elevator. A day later a fire alarm went off.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Awesome
Cons: Charged for breakfast that I didn't attend
Excellent10.0
Excellent10.0
Pros: The staff was friendly and very helpful. They truly accentuated the Aloha spirit. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located in Waikiki near the new International Marketplace with lots of restaurants and shopping to choose from.
Cons: The pool is 18” deep. So it’s not meant for swimming.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Pretty much everything. No real complaints.
Cons: Didn't realize the price of the breakfast buffet was a bit high, in my opinion. It was an ok buffet. That's about it really.

Cons: Seems a little worn for being a new building. Weird shower layout. Food poisoning from La Vie

Excellent9.7
Pros: Bed was very comfortable
Cons: Should have a shower room for the gym.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Beautiful room and views, great staff everywhere at the hotel, top quality service - valet, bar, etc
Cons: Small nitty things - more towels in the diamond tower room to begin with (just two?). Lobby area light fixtures next to overhead sculpture seem oddly cheap and out of place. More like an office or warehouse than a top hotel lobby.

Cons: The Strike. Traveling to a location such as Hawaii with family and having no housekeeping, and closed restaurants makes for an expensive trip that was just like staying at home
Excellent10.0
Pros: View, location, pools, spa options
Good6.0
Pros: Kids pool staff was genuinely friendly.
Cons: Our room fridge had leftovers from a previous guest. No daily housekeeping made it a bit tough with towels and toiletries.
Excellent8.0
Pros: We stayed in an ocean view room. The view from our room and the pool was lovely. Great room service. Soft linen. Nice tv. Room is just ok for the price.
Cons: Infinity pool for adults only. Internet connectivity in and out.
Excellent9.3
Pros: The adults only infinity pool. Amazing!!!! 10/10 The location 10/10 This is my second time staying here after visiting 2 years ago with a friend. The most trip with my fiancè. The price seems expansive however I can assure you it's definitely worth it. The pool and location best in Waikiki. We had a standard city view room. And the room was a decent size with all standard features. The location and adults only pool, make this the best hotel I've stayed at. They also have a great kids pool if traveling with a family, with slides.
Cons: Loved everything.
Good6.0
Pros: The view was nice
Excellent8.0
Pros: Overall very gd!! Infinity pool was perfect!
Cons: Our room card was not working eventhougn we have not rven checked out. So we wasted our time wating security and got new card etc..
Excellent10.0
Pros: Even though it was only 1 night. It was amazing! I've stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki before and each time it just keeps getting better and better.
Excellent9.1
Pros: The facility and management were awesome and very accommodating. The initial room I was in seemed to be slightly dirty (tub and sheets both had stains). I can’t for certain say they weren’t clean. I couldn’t tell if they were stained or dirty. Either way, I shouldn’t have to guess. Once I notified management this was quickly rectified and I was placed in a new room- with a bonus upgrade. This is still my favorite hotel.
Cons: The initial room I was in seemed to be slightly dirty (tub and sheets both had stains). I can’t for certain say they weren’t clean. I couldn’t tell if they were stained or dirty. Excellent9.1
Pros: Great last minute stay here!
Cons: I was really bummed that on the day we checked out, we couldn't use the pool at all. Didn't get to spend a lot of time there, because check in the day before was not until 3pm.
Good6.2
Pros: Sheets were awesome, and the infinity pool nice. The process to reserve pool lounges was awesome. Valet over night for guest could be cheaper than 45 dollars a day.
Cons: Front desk attendant asked for my home address which I’ve never experienced. Was a little weird. She wrote it down just on scratch paper. The pool waitress was very inattentive to myself and a friend that stopped by for a visit. Although she repeadily attended to everyone else on the same row of lounge chairs.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Adults only Pool. Beautiful room. Great Bar service at pool.
Cons: drunk lady from Chicago in Pool.
Excellent10.0
Pros: - Interior design and grounds right on the beach - Adults-only pool - Friendly, professional service - Great hotel entrance - High speed elevators - Rooms were clean and good, but not luxurious
Cons: - Resort charge of $31/day seemed steep for wi-fi usage - Breakfast buffet of $28/person was overpriced for the quality

Pros: Elegant surroundings, friendly staff, excellent location. We are glad we booked with the breakfast plan because the buffet with “Royal” options was awesome.
Cons: I’m a Starwood member and was told at checkin that I’d receive a 10% discount on restaurants, spa etc at the Royal as well as the affiliate hotels. The gentleman said it would be deducted from the final bill; however, at checkout no discounts were applied. I questioned this and was told I needed to present my card at the time of each service and the deduction was not automatic. The bad info I received at checkin cost me at least $60.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Location and service
Cons: So many kids and not enough chairs and umbrellas by pool
Excellent9.1
Pros: Really good rooms and service.
Cons: The gym was not good!
Excellent9.7
Pros: The staff was wonderful and the Mai Tai bar was a great place to sit and watch the sun go down. Rooms were very comfortable
Cons: This place is expensive, it really helps to be in the mindset that you aren't bargain hunting when you stay here. If you are here in peak season and want to take advantage of beach chair or umbrella rentals you may want to book them before you are onsite.
Good7.6
Pros: Décor of main hotel was impressive however the waterfront tower that we stayed in was less than impressive. Without the oceanview it would rank average to poor.
Cons: Pool attendant was rather rude.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Excellent location for beach access, shopping and dining.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Historic, iconic hotel, still the best
Cons: Nothing
Good6.0
Pros: on the beach
Cons: They charge for a beach chair 45.00 daily. very crowded at pool and pool is very small.
Excellent10.0
Pros: My girlfriend and I agree that The Royal Hawaiian is our go-to hotel for our stay-cations. We LOVE it there. It's hard to even consider other local hotels. The staff, the facilities, the service, and the way that the hotel feels secluded even though we're in the middle of Waikiki... there's so much to love about this place. This is our second year in a row staying here, and we'll definitely be back. Mahalo to everyone there for continuing to impress us.
Cons: This space intentionally left blank. :-)
Okay4.2
Pros: The beach the ambiance
Cons: Everything else
Excellent9.4
Pros: Though we were in the heart of Waikiki, it did not feel like we were anywhere near the hustle and bustle that is the Waikiki of today. It truly felt like a getaway. Service was stellar, the staff was friendly and attentive, the setting and atmosphere can't be beat. You've spoiled us; we can never stay in another Waikiki hotel. TRH is the one for us.
Cons: Minor gripes about cleanliness. Found a charm and a bobby pin left by previous room occupants, and toilet had a few hairs and spots also from previous occupants.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Have dreamed of staying at the Royal Hawaiian for many years. The vacation more-than lived up to expectations. The adjacent mall and food court provided entertainment, shopping and reasonable meal choices.
Cons: Mid-week was peaceful and serene. By the weekend the place was filling up with lots of tourists. Can't believe how many people were in Waikiki in general.
Excellent8.8
Pros: The hotel itself is quite beautiful. Though there is a very small pool, the pool deck is very comfortable and private. There is a fabulous view of Diamond Head on the beach. It's also not a mega hotel, so the number of people wasn't too overwhelming. The delicious muffins were a very nice touch, as well as the staff attention on the pool deck. Great location.
Cons: Our room seemed small. There were too many reasons we had to call for help, including repairs to the room and keys not working. All resolved, but annoying. I don't think a hotel of this caliber should be having these kind of problems. The price tag is very steep and I wasn't convinced it was worth it.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Location is tops, literally the best part of Waikiki Beach fronts the hotel. Amazing history, second only to the Moana Surfrider. Very romantic, but not much stuff to do for kids.
Cons: AC in historic wing could be better. Pool is very small. Not sure why families bring kids here, they'd be much happier at one of the bigger resorts (including the Sheraton right next door).

Pros: Location was great and the staff was very friendly. The room also comes with two bathrooms and kitchen which was very convenient
Cons: parking was pretty expensive but they give you one day free for a week rate, the room was small for 5 people
Good6.5
Pros: Location location location. I have to say the staff were on point on every questions and requests I made.
Cons: For a resort they had a pull out bed. Compact size room.

Pros: i loved the overall hotel, stay was amazing , super clean , staff were really nice.
Cons: parking!!! 35$ for valet parking each day you stay?? crazy!!!! def try and do street parking !!!
Excellent10.0
Pros: Longtime HHonors member, first time Hilton Garden Inn visitor. Quality accommodations and amenities as expected, with convenient Holoholo shop and grocery. Recommend to all travel types.
Cons: No disappointments.
Excellent8.8
Pros: Great location. Room was clean and comfortable. We slept well and enjoyed our stay.
Cons: There are potential noise issues here depending on neighbors and room location. We were lucky on both fronts, although the view from our window certainly left a lot to be desired.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Large clean room that didn’t look outdated.
Cons: Nothing.
Okay5.4
Pros: Clean toilet, shower sink.
Cons: Room very run down from carpet to furniture, bed was uncomfortable, furniture was very ugly almost like motel 6, carpet felt dirty and old.
Excellent8.0
Pros: The staff was the best part of the stay - so accommodating with all requests and generally pleasant. Was also kept very clean in both the room and common areas. Loved the convenience of the in room fridge as well as the fantastic balconies.
Cons: If city noise bothers you, perhaps choose another site. I was on the 18th floor and could hear the street traffic very clearly. However it’s a city, so that should be expected. I live in a noisy area anyways so this was ok for me. The pillows though were soooo terrible. Flat awful things. Really, they were the only bad part of the trip.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Good location with easy access to waikiki beach. Has a Food Pantry supermarket next door. Has ethnic restaurants close buy like a very popular Udon place. Having a small balcony was nice. Gold/Platinum breakfast benefit included either a basic buffet with omelets and the like, or you could use it for a specific number of drinks with fruit or a breakfast sandwich at the market in the lobby. The buffets had good OJ and Pineapple Juice. Hotel has free coffee/tea and flavored water in the lobby at breakfast or during checkin time.
Cons: Checkin agent didn't recognize status and would have not given us our breakfast vouchers if i had not asked, that also promoted the offer of two free waters based on our status (gold). Breakfast was the same both days. Also a bit surprised that the only asian influence to breakfast was plain white rice. I would have thought that there would be some other asian influence to the buffet.
Excellent10.0
Cons: The activities desk. Spoke with one gentleman who was unable to arrange car reservations or recommend alternate modes of transportation and tried to get me to sit through a 90-min timeshare spiel, then waited a 1/2hr to speak to the Expedia lady, only to find out there weren't compact cars available to rent. Walked over to front desk & discussed options to get to Kailua beach. Front desk guys were super nice & gave great recommendations that made my trip great.
Excellent8.2
Pros: This was in a great location. Everything was new and clean. I enjoyed my stay. Would use this place again.
Located in Waikiki, this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Waikiki Beach and Honolulu Zoo. Royal Hawaiian Center and Ala Wai Golf Course are also within 15 minutes.

Excellent9.1
Pros: Room was clean and fresh. Liked the available beach towels and the children enjoyed the pool in the evening. one block to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Resturant was ok, typical of hotel restaurants, would recommend going out for better food. Good for family in need of quick food. Breakfast pancakes are huge for one child (adult menu). Found free wifi slow, not much faster when we paid for 24 hours.....
Excellent8.0
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and ready for the holidays. Only a few blocks from the beach. Loved the towel access and hospitality for a late flight.
Cons: Didn’t care for the hotel restaurant.
Excellent9.0
Cons: Parking situation and driveway setup
Excellent8.0
Pros: Location. Great business center.
Cons: No free WiFi
Excellent8.2
Pros: Friendly staff.
Good7.0
Pros: Proximity to beach. Friendly staff. Nice little balcony.
Cons: Should have switched rooms immediately.Elevators ran ALL night against our headboard wall.My hard of hearing husband slept but I did not.
Good7.7
Pros: I found the hotel itself and the staff and rooms very good. Large tv and a nice little balcony and large bathroom are above average for most hotels.
Cons: Hotel I found did not match up to the exterior picture and is so very different from the other local Hilton. It is away from the beach and in a busy road traffic area away from attractions. Ocean view room is from a distance over parking lots and between buildings. In room WiFi is about $10 a day and no buffet breakfast or bathrobe.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Only stayed one night and spent most of our time out, as you might imagine......but the time we did spend in the hotel was great.....the staff and facilities were excellent!!! Would definitely refer you to a friend.......
Excellent8.0
Pros: Hotel is two short blocks away from Waikiki Beach. Very convenient location.
Cons: Only specific complaint was the lack of sound proofing. We were on a low floor and heard all the street noise as well as noise from surrounding rooms.
Excellent8.5
Pros: Comfortable bed. Great views. Amazing staff.
Cons: There are no fans in the bathroom. The shower/tub was really short for tall people. No water fill up stations on each floor.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Clean rooms, nice pool and hot tub area, friendly staff
Cons: Pool bar not open during covid (April 2021)
Excellent10.0
Pros: Only a block from Waikiki Beach. Nice clean hotel with friendly staff.
Cons: The swimming pool did not look very clean.
Mediocre3.7
Cons: Valet parking only. Also it just wasn't anything close to what I was expecting when I booked a four star hotel.
Mediocre3.4
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Room service was inedible, room was tiny, rude staff, further from the beach and activities than expected, overpriced, THE Smallest pool. Additionally when I asked where the pool was the concierge replied "the pool is for guests only" assuming I just wandered off the street or something. Overall just rough stay. Definitely would not recommend.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Loved the staff, very friendly. Location was conducive to getting around Waikiki, and picking up buses around town. Zip car located across the street. Great views on either side of the hotel. Free continental breakfast and internet were very nice plusses.
Cons: Gym is pretty lackluster. Not the worst I've seen, but, could have been better. Though, they did say new equipment was incoming, so, may be better now. Wifi was a little spotty in the guest rooms.
Excellent10.0
Cons: room service was pricy and was not great only complaint 200 bucks was only worth 30
Offering direct access to the beach, this Waikiki resort is in the entertainment district, steps away from Kuhio Beach Park and Duke Kahanamoku Statue. International Market Place and Honolulu Zoo are also within 10 minutes.

Pros: After a chaotic wedding week this place was just what I needed. The bed was fantastic. I hadn’t slept that well in months!
Cons: Long check I lines after 2 pm
Excellent10.0
Pros: I LOVE the new renovations they are doing here. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back for sure. Comfortable beds, great showers, beautiful views. Friendly staff ! It was wonderful.
Cons: The 35$ breakfast cost. It was a surprise to me to pay that much for breakfast.
Good7.7
Pros: Location! Great view and clean
Cons: Outdated decor is easily overlooked for a clean low priced room
Excellent9.4
Pros: When you go to Wikipedia and look up Waikiki, there is a picture of THIS hotel! If you book an Ocean-front room on a higher floor in the Eastern-most tower, you'll have the classic view most can only dream of from your balcony or even inside the room. Besides the obvious beach across the street, within a few blocks walk, you'll find dozens of restaurants and high-end shops, as well as the Honolulu bus transit line. Timely response to the only need we presented was commendable. Wifi worked well, also.
Cons: Room service neglected to replace the coffee pod on one of the days the room was cleaned. We didn't notice until the following morning when it was time to make coffee. When visiting the fitness room, one of the two elliptical trainers had a broken display. This made it impossible to use in any mode other than manual.
Excellent9.6
Pros: I liked the location of the hotel and the area around it.
Cons: There was a lot of people staying whhich even though it had multiple elevators it took a long time to get from floor 1 to 31.
Okay4.3
Cons: For the money not a nice hotel room. I would not consider it a 3 star hotel, more like a 2.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Everything! Especially the Beach/Waterfront! It was walking distance from the hotel and EVEYTHING else...Love it. I booked this trip as a father's day present for my husband and to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary...loved everything!
Cons: No much....
Excellent10.0
Pros: The water pressure in the shower was excellent! The staff asked us daily if there was anything they could do to improve our stay; it made us feel very welcome and that they were eager to make our stay the best it could be.
Cons: Nothing; we have no complaints.
Excellent9.6
Pros: The view was amazing.
Excellent8.0
Pros: The updated room was very nice. We stayed on the 37th floor and we had a fabulous view of Diamond Head and the beach. The beach is literally right in front of the hotel. The location is great. It is within walking distance of everything you need. This hotel is a great value for the price. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: The lobby needs to be updated. It was clean but the decor looked like it was from the 80's. They need to update it like the rooms. The elevators were a bit of a hassle. There were 4 of them and one was not working. The ones that were working seemed to have a mind of their own at times.
Excellent8.5
Pros: The hotel is newly renovated and less than a 5 min walk to the beach Love the pool And lot of all love their customer service. Renee went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care off Great breakfast The aquarium was really fun for our kids along with the pool.
Cons: Our refrigerator broke on day one but they were good about replacing it The parking is expensive $30 a day as is the breakfast buffet $35 per person Wish the kids pool was heated The Morimoto restaurant customer service was disappointing as they kept saying the chef was there so we made multiple reservations and yet every time we went they came up with some excuse as to why we could not meet him. A great way to make money
Okay4.2
Cons: I booked this room for my elderly parents for their first vacation in Hawaii. Paid for a partial ocean view room, and got only a slice of ocean. They were given the worst room possible in that category. AC unit outside room was extremely loud which made their sleep miserable. I feel sorry for them and regret booking this hotel. But the damage was done.
Good6.0
Pros: I liked the location. It's right next to the mcdonalds if you're hungry for a cheap meal, especially if you don't want to spend $35 for the breakfast buffet that they offer at the hotel. But if you get a free deal for the breakfast buffet if you book through Expedia or a third party website , it's definitely worth it. There's a parking garage connected to the hotel but it'll cost you $25/night. It's also super close to the Hyatt and international market. And the beach is 1 min walk. You just have to cross a stoplight. Diamond Head and the zoo are close too. I would uber to diamond Head if it's later in the day cuz parking can go fast. But the zoo is walkable.
Cons: There's a hidden resort fee that you pay $20 a night for. But my question was, where's the resort? The clerk was like, "this is the resort." But he wasn't clear that the "resort fee" included beach towels and beach chairs. There's a LOT of construction going on. It doesn't bother me so much, but it might bother you. There's no pool, but the hotel does have access to the Hilton's pool next door. But I was just swimming at the beach the whole time. All the "resort" amenities are basically under construction/refurbishment- like the aquarium with restaurant and tennis courts. So the only thing was I was paying a resort fee when the stuff for the resort aren't even available. I feel like they should have just waived the resort fee.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Location, people and hotal interior is awesome ~
Excellent9.1
Pros: Love every second of my stay. The staff was very accommodating. Whether you're a visitor from another state or country, they treated every guest equally. And we were visiting from another island. My favorite was the huge Aquarium and the swimming Mermaid.

Pros: Excellent location. Nice that there is an available laundry available. Decent size rooms. Friendly staff.
Cons: Not crazy about Duke's. Mediocre food and service. Pool area is on the small side.
Excellent9.1
Pros: I love the location ...so close to everything !
Cons: The fact that the outside air con unit was just below us &!it was VERY noisy ! The fact that as a paying guest at the hotel, we couldn't book a table at dinner time in DUKES ! Also upset that there is no longer the 'all you can eat' buffet in the evenings!
Excellent9.6
Pros: Comfortable, clean, and excellent location. Hotel restaurants are good and have a great view of Waikiki beach.
Cons: The gym is almost nonexistent.
Good6.5
Pros: Convenient location right on the beach.
Cons: Elevators were confusing and did not respond properly. Stopped at almost every floor going up and down.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Excellent accommodation, great staff particularly a guy called Alex at Reception. Nothing was too much bother. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: There was, in our opinion, nothing to dislike.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Smack dab on the beach in the best part if Waikiki. Staff was super friendly. Pillows were the best.
Cons: Pool area too small.. Difficult to get a chair. Piol, hot tub closed too early. Bar so crowded difficult to get a place to sit.
Excellent8.5
Pros: The staff was amazing!!! Everyone was willing to go the extra mile to help out. The location is amazing and in the heart of Waikiki!
Cons: Wifi Connectivity is limited to 3 devices and customer support cannot change this. The lack of a full bath tub was disappointing.
Good7.7
Pros: Location is excellent. Restaurants are great with excellent staff.
Cons: Late checkout is $25 per hour. Maybe this is a new standard but it's not guest-friendly. When flights leave late in the afternoon, an 11:00 am checkout with no convenient option for staying an extra hour is very inconvenient.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Centrally located hotel with a very popular restaurant/bar located on the ground level.
Cons: This is a very busy hotel that lacks a "real" lobby. Some people might not even notice this, but it may the stay feel odd, sort of unofficial since the only time we interacted with any staff was when we checked in.
Good6.8
Pros: Great location on the beach.
Cons: Some of the staff tried but didn't know basic things. Elevators have a strange call system and are very slow and crowded.

Pros: Loves having a kitchenette ... very well stocked ..be sure to select the upgraded /newly remodeled rooms
Excellent8.8
Pros: You can’t beat the view - this is our 7th or 8th stay at the ilikai Also great value The extra things like beach towels & beach chairs and having a kitchen is fabulous
Cons: Not as cheap as it used to be but still great value
Excellent8.5
Pros: Good location, with big rooms and kitchen which was a big plus even for couples. The valet parking was very efficient as well. The trolley stops by outside which was really convenient.
Cons: The elevator was too old and slow, there was too much waiting to do.

Pros: Excellent location, facilities and value. Great service.
Cons: Nothing.

Cons: When booking I stated there will be 4 of us sharing the room but upon arrival they charged us more and insisted it was the fault of who ever we booked it through.

Pros: Wonderful associates
Cons: pool assignments during renovations and policing of property
Good6.2
Pros: Nice location and only steps to beach!! Lots of activities and shops.
Cons: Bathroom was not properly cleaned on arrival. :(
Excellent9.4
Pros: Location, Bar and restaurants, hotel layout.
Cons: Parking and resort fee add over $60/day.
Okay5.7
Pros: - proximity to beach - known hotel chain
Cons: - based on the positive reviews and high price, I thought this would be better; - first time to Honolulu - I thought the location would be better; - move on - there's lots of better choices
Excellent8.2
Pros: I liked that it was in the center of all the action and right by the beach
Okay4.5
Pros: Closeness to the beach
Cons: When we arrived to our room, the city view was a view of the parking garage, actual a parked car was about 3 feet from our window. It was NOT a city view which I booked. When we called the front desk, we were advised they were completely booked and had no rooms available elsewhere. (We looked online and it did indicate there were rooms available for the night in a better location.) We were told we would be upgraded to a partial ocean view, but not until the next night. Also, there is an additional $30 charge per night for staying at that location, we were not advised of that until we were checking in. We also had to pay an additional $47 per day for valet parking which we also were not advised of until we checked in. The rooms are run down and carpets are old. In the high traffic areas the carpet had creases in spots, enough to cause us to trip. We had a negative encounter with one of your valets, we lost the valet ticket that was on the key, when we returned, they made a big deal of it, told us that we should have kept it on the key ring. Not good customer service especially after charging $47 per day!!!. This is a Marriott Resort and we booked it because of the name and our expectations were not even remotely met... Marriott should evaluate this location, both the desperate need of renovation and some of the customer service. If it's not going to be renovated soon, then charging appropriate hotel/motel rates and advertise appropriately.
Excellent10.0
Pros: From the moment I checked in, I received excellent service. Richard was the gentlemen who checked me in, offered top-notch service, gave me a wonderful room, made me feel valued for being an Elite Marriott Rewards member, thoroughly explained the Resort Fee and Package. I enjoyed my time there and wish I was there longer.
Cons: They did charge me for valet parking when I only used guest parking. I had to get that corrected.
Okay5.1
Pros: the location is great
Cons: everything else
Excellent9.7
Pros: The location is acceptable and very close to the beach. Depending on where your room is located you might be impacted by the pool activity and noise.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that you get a room rate online, but when you arrive there are extra fees (Resort Fee $30.00 a day, and if you valet park a vehicle, it is $37.00 a day). The fees are not necessarily hidden, they are just not posted on the daily rate schedule. You find out when you are checking in. I have stayed in Honolulu many times and these fees are normal for most of the hotels. Hence, it would be better to show all of the rates and fees that are associated with your stay, so that you can make an intelligent choice in your selection of a hotel,
Good7.7
Pros: The hotel is great. It is clean with a friendly staff and located very conveniently.
Cons: My only complaint and my warning for folks booking here would be that the price is definitely not what you see. I booked my rooms on Kayak and paid in full at booking. When I got to the hotel I was told that there was a $30/ day + tax charge for staying in the hotel. To self park in the hotel parking garage is $35/day or you can valet park for $37/day. The additional $65+/day adds up quickly. Just a heads up. Otherwise the hotel was lovely.
Good7.7
Cons: Expected better view from upgraded room
Okay4.0
Pros: Nothing. Literally, this place steals your money and just treat you as a person who is going to keep them in business. Miserable.
Cons: Everything. This is not a hotel that should be associated with Marriott. I never used Marriott after this experience.

Pros: Very close to beach. Decent continental breakfast. Beach chairs and towels available.
Cons: Lighting in our room was terrible - very dim and with no light in the entry area. Air conditioning is underpowered and can't keep up with Hawaii sun.
Excellent8.0
Pros: It was super simple but including breakfast and coffee all day was nice. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
Cons: People should be aware that parking is only by valet, and that the daily parking rate is on the expensive side.
Excellent9.7
Pros: It's right by the beach most people wouldn't even know
Excellent9.4
Pros: Free beach towel, mat, sand toys available. Fresh pineapple juice in the mornings was great. Breakfast was good, but selection is the same every day.
Cons: Lighting in the hotel room was very poor overall. Must valet park for $32 a night or park at a meter. (This is the norm for the area though.)
Excellent10.0
Pros: Service was amazing! From the minute we dropped off the car with Valet, had very friendly caring staff.

Excellent10.0
Pros: The staff was super friendly and very helpful! We forgot to bring a stroller and they were able to loan us a stroller during our stay. There was something wrong with our room, but they managed to fix it right away. Had such an amazing stay would definitely recommend!
Cons: Something that was a bit confusing was how to order room service. We managed to bring food from Swim that was To-Go so that was the route we took instead of room service.
Excellent10.0
Pros: I liked everything. The room was beautiful, the view was spatscular and the staff was always friendly. I did not plan on all the hotel and parking fees and the front desk was able to work with me by signing me up for the club membership and giving me a military discount. I will deffeintly be coming back and reffering everyone to this Hyatt!
Excellent8.0
Pros: We liked the location on Kalakaua Ave. across from Waikiki beach and walking distance to restaurants, shops and entertainment.
Cons: The pool is small for the size of the resort but we had the beach so we made it work for ourselves.
Okay5.7
Pros: The room
Cons: All the fees
Good6.2
Pros: The bathroom had a bidet!
Cons: Noise, overpriced, busy, the shops on site staffing was unfriendly, too service food was horrible and they only serve till pm
Excellent8.0
Pros: I liked the fact that the view for the room we had was pretty comforting. We were able to see the ocean and close to the other shops. It was walking distance from many restaurants and overall me and my other half had a great time.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that there wasn't a microwave. However there was an alternative to make hot water using their coffee/tea machine. But that's minor compared to some other hotels we've been in.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Great value. Booked after Airbnb didn’t work out and it really was a vacation saver. Nice rooms, great beach across the street, helpful staff, plenty of shopping and excellent restaurants nearby. Amazing gym too.
Cons: Room was dirty , building infrastructure in dire need of serious renovations . Poor TV connectivity. Poor food choices for such a large resort. No longer worthy of the Hyatt brand & reputation
Okay4.8
Pros: In the centre for everything . Good clean rooms
Cons: To expensive the hotel charge extremely high prices for everything.
Good6.3
Pros: It has pretty nice view and close to beach.
Cons: I booked the room which has king bed and ocean view. But when I visited hotel there was no room of right that. I heard that my wife and I gotta stay 2 single bed inspite of we were in honey-moon. Staff in hotel told me "We do NOT guarantee the room type whatever I booked the room via Kayak." I claimed 3 times but nothing changed. Finally we spent more money($25 per night) to upgrade king-bed room. I wanna say u guys going to stay this hotel "They do NOT guarantee the room type."

Cons: We checked in and went to our room. It was hot and the air conditioning was almost useless. The window coverings were missing slats and the hot sun poured in. The building is ancient and the bathroom was disgusting. We were with another couple, whose room was even worse. We checked out an hour later, managing through local friends to find other accommodations. Yeah it's cheap (by Honolulu standards) but not somewhere you would want to stay.

Pros: Enjoyed 5 days at this hotel. The location is the best you can get in Waikiki. It's central to some of the best shopping I've ever seen in the world.
Cons: Still new from a remodel. So some things need tweaking.

Cons: Mean front desk manager.

Pros: Recently renovated rooms
Cons: Launder detergent used on sheets was very strong smelling. The fragrance caused asthma issues for my husband. It was not a good night for either of us.

Pros: Location was great
Cons: The air condition didn't work at first. Weird smell in the room. Some lamps didn't work. Ancient TV. The discount code for the internet didn't work. We had to look for parking by ourselves. The beds were tiny!

Pros: The hotel is nice. Not much for restaurant/bar/pool but the complimentary breakfast was good and the location to the beach was good. I highly recommend using valet service...spend the $ and avoid the hassle of parking off-site.

Pros: The air units from other building were roaring loud. Could NOT hear the ocean at night, day, anytime .lNo hotel shuttle. Nice rooms, little itchy. Excellent friendly staff.

Pros: Staff was superb. From front entrance to the staff cleaning the rooms. All made the stay even better.
Cons: The Pool is a bit cold to swim in for the start of March. Front desk is walled off with clear plexiglass, which is good, but it makes it tough to communicate with the staff in the newly remodeled lobby.
Good6.2
Pros: Central location. Nice and helpful staff. There was a bathtub. Hot tub.
Cons: We were there for a romantic trip and they put us in a room with two full beds (not enough room for both of us to sleep comfortable together) so on our romantic trip we had to sleep in seperate beds. Pool and hot tub were tiny and in an awkward location.
Good7.1
Pros: Clean and in the heart of Waikiki
Cons: Added resort fees and parking fees
Excellent9.1
Pros: My mom passed away in California while i was on vacation and the staff helped me change my departure date and didnt bill me for the four days i missed which was excellemt because online it said NO REFUNDS! It saved me a bunch of money which i then had to pay the airlines to change my flight. You win some, you lose some. The activities woman was awesome and helped me to go snorkeling at the very last minute. She was very kind. All of the staff was very kind in my time of grief.
Cons: Unsecured WIFI

Location is close to tourist attractions! The Resort Fee of US$25 per day should be OPTIONAL because not everybody using amenities, such as swimming pool, gym and long distance call, etc. People don’t use the facilities subsidies those who use them! Also, only told about this when checking in at the counter, put my holiday mood into a tailspin!
