5 star hotel, unfortunately spa didn't work b/o COVID, good breakfast, good view, food in the bar is just OK, very convinient water taxi to the airport $140, they have complimentary water service to Murano and Burano, but unfortunately we didn't know about that and when we were offered, we already made the trip on our own. They helped to find where is good to do the COVID test cheaper. Location is perfect, but I would get multiple days vaporetto/bus pass. Staff was very helpful in getting directions to the places we needed, just don't forget, tragetto stop running at 6 pm. We enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Well appointed. Classic beauty with modern convenience.
Cons: The heat control!
Excellent8.0
Okay4.2
Pros: All food services
Cons: Floor plans complex and not safe. Basic facilities far from everything. Ground floor and lobby bathrooms are so hidden one needs a guide to find them. Many staircases have no hand rails. Cost of bottled water obscene! Drinking water is a basic necessity and should be available not priced as an expensive luxury.
Pros: Very easy walking distance to everything. Breakfast was included in our stay. Champagne was served on Sunday. Great variety of foods to select from and coffee was amazing. The view of the Grand Canal cannot be any better.
Cons: Hotel room key and safe were old world.
Okay5.0
Pros: Location is very good.
Cons: It is a expensive hotel, the service was not very nice with the exception of concierge, that they did a great gob. The shower was leaking water so every time you use it, there was water all over the restroom, the hair dryer did not work, Just details that you take for granted at that price range hotels.
Good7.1
Pros: Location
Cons: Internet and telephone net were very weak Casanova side was not good to stay
Excellent9.4
Pros: I stayed at the Casanova Suites which adjacent to the Bauers and for a family of four was great!! The location is just the greatest. The rooms were huge and they offered everything including 2 bathrooms!!! If you are traveling with young adults and spending time in Venice, this place is it. It was not cheap and it shouldnt be but well worth it!! Your on the main canal and yds from St Marks square. I will recomend it to my friends.
Cons: Needed more TV sets in the bedrooms.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Luxury hotel Location in the heart of Service Modern ambience Great breakfast Service was 5 star They helped us book museum tickets, dinner reservations etc Concierge Raphaela was just amazing
Cons: No negatives.

Pros: If you like the boutique looks with no essence; then you will not mind this hotel. Nothing really works and the staff don't know how to fix it. ,If you like the looks and

Pros: Beautiful old hotel. small rooms, but efficient and comfortable for 2 people. Great decorative touches in the room. Our room had views of the grand canal, with windows that could've opened for a fresh breeze off the water. Breakfast included in the price of stay, and was delicious, with many options on the buffet, fresh made cappuccinos, and views of the water. Extremely easy access to vaporetto, minutes walk from San Marco and many restaurants and shops. Very friendly English speaking staff
Cons: A con for some: we had to climb 2 flights of stairs to our room even after taking the elevator, which was fine for us, but may be problematic or some; the elevator was tiny, which seems fairly standard for Italy, but good to know. In general recommend packing light, no matter where you stay as navigating over bridges in the city can be challenging with big bags!
Okay4.0
Pros: Location Breakfast
Cons: Very dirty furniture.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Location. View of rooms facing the canal.
Excellent8.5
Pros: The location of the hotel was ideal. It is a very short walk to Piazza San Marco. The hotel is also right next to some water ferry stations, which makes transportation easy. The staff serving breakfast were great.
Cons: Air conditioner was not working.
Good7.7
Pros: The hotel is located right in the middle of the tourism.boat access was simple and walking along waterfront at night was delightful. Hotel room was small but upgraded bathrooms were clean and nice. Gym was high tech with treadmill bike and weights but many runners opt for the waterfront unless too late in the day and the crowds make it impossible to get around
Cons: Upgrade carpets and Bedspreads tv had very spotty reception Ac unit would click 3times and turn on
Excellent9.7
Pros: It is a great place to stay because it is a stone throw away from St. Marks Square. The water bus that took us to the airport stopped right in front of the hotel, which made the it easy for us to travel to the airport with our big suitcases.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Location, super nice staff, new rooms.
Cons: For the price we were expecting a better view on the room. On the contrary we were situated on a back building
Excellent9.1
Pros: The location was fantastic. Buffet breakfast in the morning was delicious and the restaurant is great for people watching at any time - the staff is wonderful. One of the best Aperol Spritz I've ever had. The room was large and despite how busy it was outside, it was very quiet inside - it even had electric shades to get the room really dark. Venetian glass chandelier and lamps were a beautiful touch.
Cons: The hairdryer was awful - really needs to be upgrade. The cost was extremely high and I'm not sure it was worth that amount. The bed was like sleeping on a board - but some people may like it that hard, and the pillows were flat and hard. A few simple upgrades would have made the stay much better.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Take a water taxi to Piazza San Marco and you are only a few steps to the hotel. The hotel included a free boat trip to Murano to see a glass blowing studio and they also offer a one-hour boat tour around town in the afternoon for only 25 Euros per person. A decent hot and cold breakfast buffet was provided by the restaurant out front. We also enjoyed a dinner of traditional Italian specialties at the same restaurant in the evening. Our room was an inside room, so our view was only the courtyard area - but that was okay because all we had to do was step out the front door of the hotel and we were in the heart of beautiful scenery. If you request a waterfront room you will have gorgeous views. Our room seemed to be recently updated because everything looked clean and brand new. The bathroom was small but very modern with a relatively large walk-in shower - and it also looked like it had been recently renovated. The hotel common areas were undergoing renovations during our stay, but it did not disturb our visit at all.
Cons: The hotel thought of everything - like a selection of soap products, hair dryer, mirrors, convenience packs, robes, etc., but it took up a great deal of space in an already tight bathroom.
Excellent10.0
Pros: My room was amazing Overlooking water Great decor Bathroom was awesome

Pros: The hotel is a minute’s walk from San Marco’s square but, inside the hotel, you wouldn’t think you were so close to all the tourists. The hotel is quiet and very comfortable, and is an easily walkable distance from all the sights in Venice. We will definitely be staying here again.

Pros: The breakfast is wonderful and I loved our room. We got one king sized bed, but there were two floors and it resembled a cozy cabin type! It was great!

Pros: Location was great. Near train station. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Last night room next door was beyond rude and loud. Not hotels fault but walls were noticeably thin with loud jerks next door.
Excellent9.4
Pros: The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure that our needs were met. The immediate neighborhood was interesting enough with plenty of places to shop and eat, and it was very easy and inexpensive to get to other areas of the city by vaporetto (water bus). The bed and bathroom were comfortable, and the breakfast was nice. The waterfront tables made it nice to sit and enjoy the view of the Grand Canal and water traffic.
Excellent8.0
Pros: It was a lovely place to eat breakfast on the water each morning and very close to the train station.
Cons: We had a room on the 4th floor without an elevator. Such is the nature of old buildings in venice.
Okay5.3
Pros: Inclusive buffet breakfast
Cons: Very old & tiny room with NO showers!
Excellent9.1
Pros: Loved everything. Wasnt expecting how "posh" it would be. Worth the money. Good breakfast, powerful shower, clean and the view at breakfast.
Cons: The terrace at evening is only for booked sit down meals and we went at just gone 10pm for a drink as only a couple of tables were being used and even though the drinks would have cost use €20 they turned us away as meals only. Also I know its petty but the coffee at breakfast was cheap quality not nice at all for saying its Italy.
Good6.5
Pros: Breakfast was very good.
Cons: The internet did not work in the room.

Pros: AC WAS NOISY AND NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO COOL THE ROOM. Rug appeared old.
Cons: Bad A/C. I couldn't sleep. Too hot, had to open window and then outside noise kept me up.

Cons: Room small, old and not what we expected for + $ 250.00 per night.

Pros: Super busy location. Very handy for our early train departure on our last day. Handy to all of the water taxis too Nice breakfast in a pleasant dining room. Our double room was very large, with a high-ceiling and large bathroom with tub/shower.

Pros: Only location was good.
Cons: except location, everything was pretty bad.

Pros: Location
Cons: Room was extremely small and had ants shower stall was about one foot by one foot no tub
Excellent9.1
Pros: Great location, 600 feet from train station . Old building ( this is a very old city ) but makes you feel as though you have gone back in time . Great food , service excellent. Front desk guys can be a little stuffy , but they upgraded us at no charge .
Cons: Beds could be queen or king , the 2 single beds are a joke . Pushing them together is pointless. A romantic hotel in one of the best cities on earth , should have bigger beds .
Okay4.8
Pros: The location.
Cons: The staff, room quality and cleanliness.
Good7.7
Pros: Clean hotel with good location on the canal.
Cons: Small room with small bath. Could not turn around in the shower.
Okay5.1
Cons: When a staff brought my luggage up, I gave 1 euro, it may not be much, but I researched that you do not tip in Europe in general. Staff made sarcastic comments which was very rude. I will not go back here for this one guy, I was ripped off quite a bit in europe, so research and be firm to say "NO" when they ask for more money or tip.

Cons: Staff was very rude We had lot of luggage there was no one to help take the luggage through the stairs. Charged extra fee If 2 person stay in the room. Gave us 2 twin bed room.
Okay4.0
Cons: The staff is not customer service oriented. AC was not working and we were above 40C (110F). Couldn't sleep at all
Mediocre2.2
Cons: Unhelpful staff.
Mediocre3.1
Pros: It's at good location
Cons: The worst and rudest customer service ever seen. Do not go by pictures, in reality their rooms are very bad. It does not deserve even one star. I ended up making new reservation of an apartment by paying 200 euro per night. Moreover when I tried to cancel my old reservation via booking agency, they threatened us that we may have to leave their property. Now think of what you do when you are with the family on a vacation. Over commercialization has degraded quality everywhere. But this one is the worst. Please STAY AWAY from this hotel.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Fantastic breakfast, perfect location, very very friendly staff!
Cons: Room was very small, but not much you can do about that

Pros: Big gorgeous rooms, kept impeccably clean and with individual bed lights and outlets. The common room/bar/restaurant was a great place to hang out, which meant the rooms stayed quiet too.

Cons: Old old old. Non functional facilities in the room. No blackout curtains! Noisy. Too much light when darkness is needed! My bathroom had a translucent door! With the wc just in front of it! No computers, no printer! Seems like modern live needs is something they don't care about too much. Old and heavy seats at the breakfast area. Breakfast buffet way below expectations... Compared with other 4star hotels I have the opportunity to be at, this one deserves 2 stars at the most
Excellent9.1
Pros: Lovely Venetian style. Friendly, helpful staff. Very convient location.
Cons: Difficult to get luggage to without water taxi (from cruise terminal, may be fine elsewhere)
Excellent8.0
Pros: The property was beautiful and clean. The location was so convenient. Close to port, train station, and the Grand Cannal! It was nice that our raye included buffett breakfast. The beds were the only thing I would suggest they improve. For a 4 star property, I was expecting cushier bedding.
Located in Cannaregio, this hotel is steps away from Scalzi Bridge and Grand Canal. Piazzale Roma and Venetian Ghetto are also within 10 minutes. Venice Santa Lucia Station is only a 2-minute walk.

Pros: Location was great and Silvia and Patrick were amazing with our family. My wife has celiac and they accommodated her. Breakfast was amazing was a great experience and would love to recommend to anyone that is going.
Cons: Can't say a bad thing
Excellent9.7
Pros: breakfast was excellent, close to train station, close to canal, close to downtown, very nice, clean, comfortable
Cons: ask questions of desk staff acted like they really didn't have time to be bothered to answer my questions.

Pros: Best included breakfast buffet I've ever seen!
Excellent10.0
Pros: Style, comfort, service, breakfast, wi-fi. Nice fabrics cover room walls. All marble (walls and flooring) bathroom. Although room size was 14 x 11, it was very comfortable. Good quality beds, matress and linnings.
Cons: Only problem is bathroom with sewer smell, but this is a common issue in Venice.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Central Location Very nice lobby
Cons: Bed was not comfortable Very limited facilities
Good6.8
Pros: The location was great, and the staff was eager to please.
Cons: There were a lot of maintenence issues. When we got into our room, we noticed that the telephone, refrigerator and one of the wall lights did not work. The staff tried very hard to remedy the situation, but failed. To make up for the problem, they moved us into a new, larger suite. But after settling in to the new room, we found out that the air conditioner, and shower valve were not working. They had a plumber come in to fix the shower valve, but the air conditioner remained broken, and we were forced to open up some windows to get cool air into the room.
Mediocre2.0
Cons: We spend two nights in this hotel. The room was not clean and was very small and smelly. there was not even room for luggage in the room. The worst part was on the first night hotel fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate our room. There was only one staff working at night and he didn't know what was the issue and the alarm was on for the whole night. He couldn't confirm if it was a false alarm and we could go back to our room safely! so we had to stay up in hotel lobby for the whole night!!! What bothered me most was hotel manager didn't show up at all and he didn't even sent anyone to help that one staff. Even the next day when I ask to have a chat with hotel manager they said he doesn't have time for this and I can write a letter to him!!! They didn't give us any compensation for ruining our holiday and I found the manager very rude.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The ambiance the location the price couldn't be better.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The hotel offers rooms that are comfortable and conveniently located. It's very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The best part? Some of the rooms have bathtubs! After showering in the world's smallest showers across Italy, it was fantastic to be able to take a bath.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect for me.
Excellent10.0
Pros: My son and I arrived earlier than check in, but the staff was very pleasant and helpful and let us leave our bags so we could go explore Venice. The person helping us even suggested a route on a map so we could avoid all the crowds due to the Festival of St Mark. Location was fantastic. Breakfast options were plentiful!
Good7.7
Pros: Easy to access train station. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Right off the Main Street so it was very noisy

Pros: Great location right off Piazzo San Marco & major gondola loading site made for interesting visuals and sounds. We had cool weather so opening windows were nice to have.
Cons: Bit noisy but Venice is compact so is somewhat to be expected. Unfortunately the building next door was being renovated and jack hammers were running in the background most of the day.

Pros: The view from the rooftop bar was amazing
Cons: For the expensive room rate, I was shocked by a couple of things: - there was no free/included wifi - there were mosquitoes in the room. is it terribly hard to install screens? - there were stains on the wall from mosquitoes being squashed/killed - service was just OK One night is not enough time to take advantage of the amenities you're paying for.

Cons: Heard people walking upstairs most of the night Concierge gave me different answers when I asked the same question Long wait for shuttle boat
