Pros:I liked the size of the vehicle and the rental agent was nice.Cons:Waiting in an ENORMOUS line for over an hour was absolutely ridiculous! Then the vehicle was filthy dirty. We washed it and went to vacuum it and there was so much litter & crumbs & ?? Under the mats it looked like it had never been vacuumed. I wasn’t allowed to extend the rental for a few days, we had to come back in, waiting in the same ENORMOUS line...then had to wait outside for over an hour until they pulled the new rental car around and it was filthier than the first rental. The agent gave us a story that the water pipes had burst the night before and they were unable to wash the cars. Well, somehow they managed to wash the cars for the Priority Club members. They came out wet and clean having obviously been freshly washed seconds earlier. Just tell people the truth. Hey, we get extremely busy on occasion and during those periods you may get a car that’s not run through the exterior wash. That speeds up the process tremendously, which helps us serve our customers more quickly. Maybe offer a discount in their next car rental!Reviewed 12 Jan 2021

Car was dirty, but fine to drivePros:I liked the carCons:The car was very dirty, I could not see scratches, dents, or through the front window. I had to clean the inside of the windshield before I could drive it. The pick up was ok with the front desk. It was her first day and I thought she did great. What I did not like was not being escorted to the car, I had to push the panic button to find it. (This was the direction from staff) I had to fill out the condition form by myself which made me very uncomfortable after reading the reviews. I have to say the drop off was fine and received my deposit back very quickly. I would recommend filling the car up yourself before the return.Reviewed 20 Nov 2017

Pros:The car was clean and ran very well.Cons:Long line. Very slow pick up process. It was a bait and switch also, as we reserved a midsize SUV, and at the counter they said he didn’t have all wheel drive and it’s only a four-cylinder. Since we were driving to the mountains an upgrade was necessary, raising the price significantly. Don’t be fooled by their ostensible low price.Reviewed 25 Jan 2021

Pros:Tried to give me a car with no license plate and then told me "dont worry, they're not pulling people over because of COVID-19." More hidden fees than a flim-flam snake oil salesman. A $131 "deal" rental turned out to be over $450 after fees and surcharges. I'll ride a bike before I rent from ACE again. An absolute nightmare. The agent at the counter was more worried about the shoot-em-up game on his cell phone than taking care or me. Avoid ACE at all costs.Cons:Tried to give me a car with no license plate and then told me "dont worry, they're not pulling people over because of COVID-19." Cons:I only learned, when going to pick up the car, that I was not supposed to take it outside the Denver area. I was finally able to do that, after agreeing to an insurance policy that cost me more than $100 extra. I was also told I would save money by paying for a tank of gas, when in fact I needed about half of that. I ended up paying about 2 1/2 times what I'd originally expected to pay.Reviewed 11 Jun 2020

Cons:The hours were confusing, and with our later arrival flight, we were relieved the airport shuttle still came around for us and a few other flyers. The hours posted mention 7pm as closing which was cool that the office was still running around 730 pm, but the confusing hours definitely stressed us out running through the airport with luggage. There was even a group of people behind us in the office line at almost 8pm. If you have a flight outside of 7am - 7pm, this wont work out very well. There's a FINE Car Service down the road if you need to return your car outside these hours, but Ace doesn't tell you upfront. Luckily, one return agent outside told us about FINE and although we had to pay $31 fee instead of the $25 he mentioned, he felt the most honest of the whole experience here. The part most disappointing was the price advertised on Kayak ($28) and what we ended up paying at the rental office ($500+). We had already figured in car insurance in our pre-arrival budget planning, but with the rush/pushy sales transaction from our Agent, we didn't get a chance to really figure out our options. Way too many hidden costs and up-sells. We were up-selled a toll fee we probably never used during our week-long trip (at least we didn't see any active Toll signs and we'd been looking for them specifically due to the up-sell) and adding a 2nd driver is NOT free like most other car rental companies. What was worse was after we wanted to remove the 2nd/backup driver to save at least something, our sales agent said the transaction already went through and nothing could be done about it. Since other goods-and-services can be returned and we hadn't even gotten the car, it sucked to believe we couldn't remove that 2nd backup driver. Being exhausted and already rushed, we pretty much gave up and just wanted to get on the with driving to our hotel. If you're from out-of-state like us, you're better off with an agency like Enterprise that's more clear with what you're getting.Reviewed 11 Jun 2020

Pros:Staff was very helpful and friendly at pick up, after a rough travel day it was nice to see a friendly face.Reviewed 27 Jun 2020

Pros:The car was clean and was good value, we got exactly what we were looking for.Cons:The pickup is really confusing for it and we waited for probably 40 minutes for a shuttle in the cold. The location of the car rental place is quite far away from the airport compared to the other rental places.Reviewed 16 Nov 2020

Cons:The main problem was that between my reservation and going to the facility to get the car, they changed what I reserved. Online it said Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chevy Equinox or similar, but then tried to put me in a Nissan Rogue, which isn't the same at all. I had to pay $120 a day extra for, which they "generously" gave me for only $60 av day extra. It all just felt like a setup sand ruined a portion of my trip because I felt like I had been had. The whole thing felt cheap. The car was fine except it was filthy inside and out because it had just come back, obviously, and wasn't really cleaned... There were old receipts inside and the outside was a mess. Oh, and for Colorado mountain driving the car didn't have a drop off washer fluid in it. We had to buy our own when we finally got to our destination. I would not recommend as it's not worth the supposed savings.Reviewed 27 Dec 2020

Pros:There was not much, place was clean but that's about it.Cons:Get more busses waited about 20mins and others 30mins, only one running at the time and a bit of a distance. Once we arrived the price that was offered was not price on Kayak. Immediately the service rep began with the vehicle I selected was not available nor powerful enough for Denver. So a $25 upcharge to get a 4x4 Jeep GC, with that said tried to sell the more expensive insurance, which I already had paid for via Kayak. After declining that, the toll fees which I also declined. Upon getting the vehicle the passenger rear tire was super low, went back to office to get another vehicle but was told that the tire pressure was due to cold weather but the other 3 were fine, hate those tropical tires. So the mechanic filled the tire with air and off we were, oh and no one inspected the vehicle or checked our paper out the door. Upon return, suppose to be easy but, nope, the young lady inspecting the vehicle said that there were scratches on the passenger door. Like some kid had done it, we don't have kids, she took pictures and said she would let us know. In addition I told her about the tire having a slow leak and having to refill it with air twice, trying to help the next person. So I went back inside and the rep who had helped me in the beginning pretended to be too busy to take care of me, mind you no one else was at the counter. So I spoke with the supervisor, she checked on the vehicle and the scratches were already accounted for, nice try. Overall not a good experience, don't ever plan to rent a car from this company again, renter beware.Reviewed 15 Oct 2020
