The car was not the car in the ad. The passenger side mirror was misaligned and had to be fixed. The car maintenance came on whilst driving and undiscloed 250 fee was assessed for taking the car to a different airport for drop off. On a one way trip this should be disclosed before I get to the airport.
Every agent was friendly with both pickup and drop off. The pickup area was a bit confusing on how to get out of it and onto our designated highway, but we finally made it out, with the help of Avis employees!

The big disappointment was the wait to pick up the car. The line was 50 to 60 people deep and there were only 5 or 6 agents helping. But the real problem was that only one of the agents seemed to be working hard to move the line. A middle-age African American woman was the only person working with a sense of urgency, everyone else was just in super-chill mode and sometimes just milling around. I waited longer than 45 minutes to pay for the car. The car/SUV was clean and full of gas, but I had a hard time getting some of the features to work. It appeared to be stuck downloading something and we could never get the screen to come alive. It wasn't terrible but the people at the counter could have done a much better job.
The staff was amazing and helpful. The only complaint that I had was that the floor mat in our car kept moving around due to a broken hook, but I let the agent know and they were going to fix it. Stellar company!

Shouldn’t have had to pay for insurance as I was covered completely by USAA but couldn’t give a precise dollar amount!
First, understaffing in order to sell an add-on “upgrade” for quicker pickup is unacceptable. Then the clerk could not assign me a car because of multiple systems (dollar, thrifty, hertz). Then, even after we clearly discussed my lack of interest in ALL of the unnecessary add-ons he added them back in the third time he tried to assign a car. Then even though he pushed all the buttons on my phone, he claimed it was me who made the choices. He gave me attitude when i found the extra $1450 due at pick up unacceptable!!! Do they get bonuses on that? , he then told me the wrong floor to pick up the car sending me across traffic to get to the area. And finally, he sent me to a space that had no car. I dragged three bags full of tools this way! UNACCEPTABLE. the only save was that the guy at the actual hertz desk helped me out so i did not have to drag it all back access traffic. But since it is the same company, i am unlikely to use again and will share. I am disgusted!

Even though my vehicle was reserved and prepaid for when we arrived at the airport early in the morning there was no vehicles available. We had traveled all day and arrived after midnight and looking forward to getting some sleep. When we got to the rental counter the line was roughly twenty people long and we were all told they were completely out of vehicles and had nothing to give anyone... Had to wait in line at other companies to get something to use for our trip. Then the refund process was about the worst because I had prepaid they didn't want to return any money. Took many emails and phone calls to get anything done and finally receive a refund. Don't rent from them!

They gave us an old car with a spent battery. The battery died and they took 2.5h to send someone to jump it, and they would not send us a replacement vehicle. While on vacation, we had to drive back to the airport to get a replacement. Terrible experience.

The representative was nice, accommodating and helpful to those stranded. However, he did not mention the car we rented was an upgraded vehicle. The cost was high. Had we known we would not have rented from them. Secondly, you are nearly forced into renting an EV car , if you opt not to, then a gas car is now considered an upgrade.

Our rental car broke down on the highway. Enterprise transported us to this location and promised a replacement. When we arrived the Manager would not give us another car until the original car was towed to them. AAA said it will take hours to do so. So, our six hour car trip was delayed by 24 hours and we ended up renting another car from Hertz. Then it took three days of calling to customer service to get a refund. STEER clear of Enterprise at the Atlanta Airport. This was my worst rental car enperience in 38 years of renting cars. HORRIBLE and incompetent staff.

After changing flight and getting a reservation with enterprise I was told they had no cars available. Their policy is to accept reservation with 24 hours of pickup, but cars are not guaranteed. Thankfully, Budget had cars available.

A couple of things were negatives. 1) They apparently have a restriction on which states you can travel to in the rental car- although this didn’t affect my plans this time, I could see how it might be a negative if I had plans to travel to one of the restricted states. 2) Despite arriving at the car rental spot around 9:00 pm on a weekday and there not being a line at the counter- the company rep advised me that there would be up to a 45 minute wait to get my car ready- when I asked if there was anything we could do to avoid the wait- she advised that we could upgrade and get a car immediately. This suspiciously appeared to be a bait and switch tactic. Especially since it was not busy and I had a reservation which put them on notice of the rental. I WILL NO LONGER BE RENTING FROM ACE.

They did not have the car I reserved and wouldn't offer a free upgrade for another car. They said I could wait 2 hours or pay more for a car. They clearly don't understand the concept of a reservation. The car I paid to be upgraded to was clean, but the tank wasn't full. They didn't come to look at the car with me, just handed me the keys and told me where it was in the poorly lit parking deck. When dropping it off after hours at my destination, the instructions weren't clear and at the key drop the sign said that the customer is responsible for any damages that occur in the parking lot until they open the next day. It would have been nice to know that ahead of making that arrangement. The car drove well.

My flight was delayed by 2 hours due to bad weather. I arrived in Atlanta at roughly 10:30pm and made it to the Fox/Europcar desk at 10:45pm. There were no service members there. After waiting for a couple minutes, I asked an employee of a different company at a neighboring desk and they said I would have to locate the office downstairs in the garage to pickup my key. After making my way downstairs and locating the office, I arrived at exactly 11pm as two employees were exiting the office. When I told them I was there to pick up my car, they said they were closed, the computers were shut down, and there was no way to go back into the office and get the keys for my rental. They then told me that my reservation was nonrefundable. I had to go back up to another company's desk and rent a car from them for my 2-hour drive. The complete lack of customer service was the worst car rental experience I've ever had. Lesson learned.

When we arrived at the counter, even though we had a confirmation number, we were told that no cars were available and they provided no other option.
This was the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. Their directions were to call a number when ready to be picked up at Atlanta airport. They didn’t answer several calls. After calling a number I found online I talked to someone in California who had difficulty accessing directions. After asking numerous people at airport where the pickup point was we finally were picked up. All this took almost an hour. When we arrived at the lot, we found AVR in a shack that was in a very large lot that was owned/run by Jiffy car rental. We were the only ones waiting for a car and it took over an hour because the lady was unable to get us checked out because she said they were having WiFi problems. Ultimately, I had to go on their website and input all my information again. Rediculous! The return was also time consuming and weird. I had to go to the back of the Jiffy lot, take a picture of the car, and send an email to AVR before they would pick us up. THE WORST! Never again!

They did not answer the phone to provide a shuttle. I had to Uber there and upon arrival there were no vehicles available to rent except for 1 with a cracked windshield. They were at least nice enough to give us a ride back to the airport where we rented from a different company.

They advertised they were an airport van rental company. My flight arrived at 6 pm and when I called to get a shuttle to pick up my van AVR rental was closed (hours are 8 am to 4 pm). I had to rent a car from Avis at the airport and when I called AVR Rental the next day they refused to issue me a refund. Terrible company. Should not be allowed to list their vans on your site alongside normal rental car companies.
