The car itself was fine, when we got in to get our car it was 1am. The customer service took an hour to just get our car with only 3 people in line. There were 3 to 4 employees and only one was at a desk taking people. It was super frustrating as no one seemed eager to move things along. It of course didn’t help that I had two crying/tired children waiting in the lobby the whole time.Reviewed 22 May 2026

Was given a clean Toyota Camry hybrid upgrade. However, the cruise control wasn’t working, and I had to travel a couple hundred miles each way between each of my destinations. Fortunately the gas pedal fit a notch between my shoe and part of the carpet. Otherwise great car.Reviewed 22 May 2026

The vehicle was advertised as a 15-passenger van but truly it is a 14-passenger vehicle. Additionally, the front row is very difficult and uncomfortable for passengers to sit because of a huge black box built inside of the van. The van was very clean but smelled also like smoke. This was disturbing for my allergies, and we had to pay to have the vehicle detailed as a result. Lastly, the rental location customer service was great, but I was taken back by the $5,000 credit card hold for liability. This is extremely ridiculous and I have never experienced this requirement not even in America with high-end vehicles. If this is the requirement moving forward for Avis Panama this should be expressed in advance of pick-up and not as a surprise on the day of pick-up. There were so many hidden fees and as a preferred business renter with Avis (America) I was disappointed.Reviewed 21 May 2026

Drop off was unfriendly. The car was dirty. I asked for an economy car and got a big suv. The guy told me it would get 40 miles to the gallon and it got about 25 which mattered. The guy who answered the phone was unhelpful and not very nice.Reviewed 21 May 2026
