They didn’t reserve my car. They said they couldn’t fulfill my reservation because I wasn’t returning the car to their location. The staffer was rude, unapologetic, and offered no other solution.Reviewed 20 Feb 2026

I feel ripped off. The daily price of the rental didn’t reflect the actual price, especially when you factor in insurance. I don’t recall insurance being an option to purchase in advance and had I known how much it would cost, I would’ve budgeted for the trip differently. After this experience, I will advise people against Kayak and Budget when renting vehicles.Reviewed 19 Feb 2026

Forced to upgrade when we arrived 30 minutes early because apparently original car wasn’t ready yet. Had dents on all sides. Bought extra insurance from kayak/priceline from email soliciting it. Budget didn’t accept that and forced us to put a $3000 deposit or buy their insurance after we already bought insurance through the booking company. Very rude staff. Car was 4 time than quoted rate. Charged us $130 for 1/4 tank of gas. Terrible experience.Reviewed 19 Feb 2026

I never got to rent because when I unered to pick up the car I was told I needed an extra 250. For a deposit. The app guided me thru and no deposit was ever spoken of. Also... I paid 36 for insurance and it was never refunded even though I never rented. Scam scam!!!!Reviewed 19 Feb 2026

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with renting a car. I had to wait over an hour for the budget employee to find a car for me that I had already reserved. By the time I finally got a car it was not the model I asked for and the car was disgusting and very dirty. Hair all over the seats and it smelled bad. I will never use Budget at the St Louis airport again.Reviewed 19 Feb 2026

At the desk, the attendant did not ask if we wanted to purchase the gas option, he just put it on the bill and told us to sign. It was not clear. He also did not tell us how much it would cost, and did not tell us how much the toll additional fee would cost. I said no to the protection but did not understand when he said the others. As far as the car, he did give us a Jeep which I was very excited about.Reviewed 18 Feb 2026
