They were short on cars, but found one. Was happy to that point. But wouldn't accept our insurance. The online price ($11 a day, I think) would have been ok, but the only way I would have been allowed to rent at the desk was to purchase a $39 a day package. About 70% more than the base price for the car. Opted not to rent. Suggestion: If the customer does not opt for insurance online, allow them to enter their insurance company right then to see if it's approved. Sorry we couldn't do business.Reviewed 9 Dec 2023

Pros:The check-in was smooth and quick. Had no hassles about supplemental insurance. Be sure to use your credit card for the rental. Mine has secondary car rental insurance. Mostly pleased with the Nissan Altima. Had two small dents that were noted but there were other scratches and one dent that was not highlighted. We took pictures of the scratches and the dent. Drop-off was quick and easy.Cons:No obvious complaints. Price was more than I wanted to pay but competitive with other rental companies. Had a few extra expenses that blindsided me but cannot do anything about that. Final price was higher than expected by about fifty dollars.Reviewed 18 Oct 2020

Pros:The staff was friendly and worked with what they had, as it was not their fault personally.Cons:No one answers the phone - I tried calling multiple times for it to go to a voicemail. When I arrived initially to pick up my rental car I was informed there was only one vehicle available and it was a massive SUV (I called the day before the rental to confirm a smaller vehicle would be available and was told yes and I was all good to go). The woman then informed me there was multiple additional charges being added to the rental agreement. I also had an issue with the vehicle during my rental period and could not get a hold of anyone at the rental company, so I went to the location and saw the employees are just sitting there IGNORING the phone ringing on purpose.Reviewed 20 Jul 2020

Pros:April was great and able to answer my questions about possible extending my rental. She even gave me her direct line if I needed to call.Cons:The airport (MLB, Melbourne, Florida) doesn't have the best layout regarding where the rental cars are. Not Dollars fault though!Reviewed 6 Jan 2020

Pros:Took only a few minutes to check out and get the car on Christmas Day.Cons:Auto maintenance. Car had a loud squeak when going over bumps and a loud rumbling at high speeds. it drove well, but needed maintenance.Reviewed 2 Jan 2020

No unlimited milesCons:Booked on kayak a mini van with unlimited miles. Arrived at counter and van not available but given a equivalent SUV. Then told that this location does not give unlimited mileage, apparently there is some fine print that says not all locations honor unlimited mileage, but you won't know until you get there to pick up. This is an important feature of any car rental deal and should be definitively disclosed not part of a bait and switch tactic.Reviewed 23 May 2017

Dollar rental is a scam and should not be allow onCons:Dollar rental is a scam and should not be allow on your site. The contract was for unlimited miles as it said on your site. When we got there to rent the truck they gave us a add on stating that we were limited to 125 miles per day.. They refused to honor the contract. I ended up having to go elsewhere to rent a vehicle and payed more.. Who is going to reimburse me for breech of contract??Reviewed 15 Feb 2016
