Pros:Paulette was really helpful when we picked up. The drop off was not as easy in Milan, because it wasn’t clear where to go, so we went into the store to ask but there was only one person working and a lot of people waiting. I waited 30 minutes to talk to someone and was told that I just needed to drive up to the 5th floor of garage to return.Reviewed 21 Oct 2019

Horrible experiencePros:They messed up the pickup and drop off and now we have no where to leave the car. Total failureCons:They were not prepared when we picked up the car and despite arranging an after hours drop off before traveling and again in Rome when picking up the car we discovered there was no place to leave it in Sanremo. So, we had to cancel plans to travel to France yesterday and stay in Sanremo, now Hertz is closed and we still have nowhere to leave the car!Reviewed 28 Oct 2018

we confirmed our rental for two 7 passenger vans -Mercedes-BenzV-ClassPros:We were told we had to pick the vans up at Roma Tintoretto. However two days before we were to get the vans, we received emails stating they did not have vans and offered us two small cars for each van even though we only had two drivers. It went from bad to worse when we went to the pick-up location, they only had small cars with manual transmissions. After much discussion, thet finally told us to go to the airport where they had two Ford vans for our use. Our family of ten missed our planned tour, etc. because of this mixed up reservation.Cons:All of the above.Reviewed 20 Jul 2018

Overcharged at return for an Awful CarCons:I waited for an hour to get my car. I showed up at 8:40 and didn't leave with the car until 9:40. The office was so inefficient. It looked like they were doing everything manually. when you have online reservations, why aren't you managing this in advance? Then, when I got the car, it was a mess. It had scratches and dents all over it. Warning lights kept coming on for no wiper fluid and for low tire pressure. After waiting an hour already I was not about to wait longer to get a different one.Reviewed 5 Jul 2018

Super friendly and helpful staffPros:The car was a new Fiat 500, with great Tom-Tom GPS. The lady who helped check us in was multi-lingual and very nice. Helped with the addition of the mobile hot-spot and she made sure I was comfortable with everything before we left.Cons:Just my own lack of knowledge on operating the GPS at first but I eventually figured it out. Not happyPros:The price was reasonable,Cons:The car we picked up in Rome was much bigger than what we’d requested. They had a large Citroen, hard to drive in Italy, or a very small Fiat 500. Dropoff was a nightmare. No address for the Genoa airport which was difficult to find and there were no instructions about where at the airport to drop off the car. We found a parking area labeled Hertz so we left it there but the off-site office was closed. We walked from there to the airport three blocks away and found the on-site desk. It would have been good for the folks in Rome to have given us instructions regarding drop off.Reviewed 27 Apr 2018

Pros:Everything ran smoothly for the most part. Very affordable.Cons:I didn't like that the system was not updated to reflect preexisting damage to the vehicle upon drop off. Had I not had a copy of the pickup contract that indicated the damage already done to the vehicle, it would have been a real headache.Reviewed 15 Nov 2017

Pros:The car was great, and so was the service.Cons:Didn't know that you had to put a 300 euro down for things like theft insurance. This was not explained well when I rented the car. They removed it once I turned in the car though so no problem.Reviewed 17 Sep 2017

Not too hard to find, but parking was...but that's to be expectedPros:Friendly staff made returning our vehicle easy. Google Maps took us right to the correct location, but we had to loop around once to find a place to park the car. We just told one of the staff where it was parked and checked out. Metro stop just across the square from the office made it easy to get to our apartment in the city center.Reviewed 29 Jul 2017
