Hertz moved offices but didn't update me (or the seven other hertz customers who went to the same old address the same day). Hertz gave away my car and then charged me more for an upgrade as my only option. Enterprise across the street from the old Hertz address was kind to give me a free ride to the new Hertz address. I'll def go Enterprise next time no matter the extra cost. Relatability matters!Reviewed 23 Oct 2022

GEORGE THE MANAGER located on Burnet Ave in Syracuse cancelled my reservation after I said I need a van to travel to Florida. He said he could get me something similar, such as an 8 passenger SUV.. I told him that this would not work because we are relocating to Florida. I said cancel the SUV and George cancelled the entire reservation. I was so pissed off that used some expletive's toward George at the end of our conversation but nevertheless he could have tried to help me right from the beginning, as a opposed to being indifferent and a care less attitude. So in the end your company lost out on a one way van rental to Naples Florida in the approximate amount of 674.00. Furthermore now that I am retired and can afford to travel, I will never do business with hertz againReviewed 3 Nov 2021

Pros:Being able to drop off the rental after hours was a great help.Cons:We had rented a cargo van about 10 days earlier from the same location and the total experience was excellent. This time it was somewhat disorganized. This was partly due to having a brand new employee process our rental. He was very polite and very nervous - especially when things didn't go as he'd expected. He will be fine with experience. Assistance from management wasn't particularly good, but I don't know why that was the case. But the pick up process was not as smooth as it was previously. It took longer than I'd expected based on prior experience.Reviewed 24 May 2021

Pros:The staff was great - very accommodating. The cargo van was returned to them with a half-tank of gas. They noted that and advised me to just be sure I returned it with a half-tank of gas (it was 3/4 full when I dropped it off). I had to wait a few minutes for them to clean and sanitize it because I arrived early. Drop off was super easy.Cons:The location is at a busy intersection and getting in and out of the lot isn't easy. Small parking lot is not the easiest to navigate. One mirror (passenger side) wasn't able to be adjusted - worked okay for me, but made it difficult for the other driver who is considerably taller than me. But the whole process was very easy.Reviewed 11 May 2021

Pros:I liked that I got a 7 passenger vehicle that I paid for weeks in advance, som people that day can not say the same.Cons:They could of had my vehicle ready at the time agreed, not with in an hour of there closing time. They also had very poor communication I showed up at the time I booked to be turned away with nothing there a call in advance would of been nice. Then I went back without receiving a call and still no car. When I showed up after no location in my area did not answer the phone there was a lot of other customers with the same problem as me and the phone was ringing off the hook with no one answering it. The worker told the customer in front of me they couldn’t do anything for them and was only able to provide a phone number to call about getting there money back even tho they didn’t provide there car. All around bad service and I will never use Hertz rental car every again.Reviewed 5 Apr 2021

Cons:When I signed up for the car which was a one way trip from NY to NC it asked me when I would pick up the vehicle and when I would drop it off. I entered 8:00am pickup on Sunday, drop off before 6:00pm Monday. I dropped off at 4:00pm. Hertz didn't have that information so instead of paying $216 I wound up paying $390 and I am less than happy. $15.75/hr plus addl for anything over 24 hrs. Find this unfair and wrong. Pros:Pick up was fast and easy. They didn't have the type of car I reserved, so they upgraded me for free. Car was clean and in great shape. Drop off took me minutes. Staff was super friendly on pick up and drop off.Reviewed 23 Feb 2021
