Washington, D.C. hotels near St. John's Church

Cons: Colonial parking provides valet parking at the Willard for $55 per night. They refused to tell me about any other options when there was another parking garage just behind the hotel. I won't return to the Willard until they lower their parking rates.

Cons: If you forget to tip housekeeping each morning, don't expect clean towels.

Cons: Tiny gym, mold in the bathroom grout, room amenities were average, surprising amount of wear and tear in our room for a hotel in this category.

Cons: Visibly older and run-down in places.

Cons: The location was just okay - I walked from the closest Metro (Mt Vernon/Convention Center), and found myself walking along a street with boarded up houses. I wasn't taking any shortcuts, this was one of the main streets by the hotel. This wasn't too much of a problem for me, as I used Lyft to get everywhere and didn't do much walking at all. But it is something to keep in mind if you are making a reservation here. The only other thing was that my bed was very firm. That's a total personal preference, but did interfere with my sleep

Cons: Small room. Dirty carpet. TV in a cabinet. Full size bed. Horrible stay

Cons: Our room was small--would have been perfect for a single guest, but a little cramped for two. Just one bedside table, for example, with no room for a second. We would have liked a king bed, but one evidently wasn't available--again, perhaps a size issue. Last, half the wardrobe cabinet was taken up by a room safe and refrigerator pre-stocked with candy, soda, and alcohol, so there wasn't quite enough room for two people to hang our things. And yes, no iron or ironing board. We didn't try the meal facilities. We'd stay again--the pluses outweigh the minuses.

Cons: Should have free coffee in lobby in the morning. Temperature in lobby too cold.

Cons: The room was small but clean and comfortable.

Cons: They accepted my reservation then gave away the room. Sent me to another hotel without rooms. A true nightmare in the middle of the night in DC

Cons: The shower curtain gets a little friendly if you like your showers hot. Leaving the curtain open a few inches helped at the cost of having a damp floor mat.

Cons: Housekeeper took away my belongings before my check-out and front desk staff didn't find them for me after I complained.

Cons: Beds not very comfy, funny small in hallways

Cons: For a couple is necessary more space, at least for dispose luggage.

Cons: Loud air conditioning unit and street noise.

Cons: Everything met my expectations.

Cons: Room was a little warm despite the air conditioner on high.

Cons: No negatives really. We did have a problem control the air temperature/freshness at night, but that might have been because it was a warm weekend in spring -- maybe the air conditioners weren't on yet?

Cons: The bed. Way too uncomfortable. I'm in the mattress business (Sleepy's), if you need new mattresses, let me know!

Cons: The view from our room was not great, but we didn't care.

Cons: breakfast service downstairs extremely slow I ordered smoked salmon bagel and cream cheese with C it took over 30 minutes to get it to me the serverwas very flustered I asked for a to go box she just gave me just the box with no wax paper to take away my food.

Cons: I wish ice machines were on each floor however when I ask for ice at the front desk, I was supply with a bag.

Cons: The room was filthy. It was NYE so we didn't make a big fuss about it but we were not happy right away. Random sprays of stuff on the walls, a nice little white stain on the bed skirt. The first thing we did was check for bed bugs and luckily there were none. We went out for a nice dinner and when we got back there were security guards in the lobby who stopped us and asked if we were guests but we just nodded and he let us right by. We spent the rest of the night listening to one of our neighbors break glass and toss furniture around- I get it it's NYE but we didn't think this hotel was that kind of place or we never would have paid this much to stay here. The only thing the front desk did was offer us comped breakfast and to have security "look around". The final blow came upon checkout when we found out the valet fee was $50! $50?! Why not offer to comp that instead of breakfast no way we were gonna eat something made in this filthy place.

Cons: At times wait staff was sparse

Cons: Expensive valet parking.

Cons: If it had a pool it would have been perfect, but otherwise it was fantastic. Service at the in-hotel restaurant was slow and food was a little overpriced compared to the excellent food you could get around town.

Cons: No coffee in the rooms!

Cons: Morning coffee ( that was free!) was horrible

Cons: One comment, the cleaning staff woke us up at 8AM to ask us what time we wanted the room cleaned. I thought that was a little weird... would generally prefer they just come when we're not there.

Cons: If you stay in a room facing 14th street you *will* hear street noise. We were on the 12th floor and you may as well be on the first floor because the height doesn't help with the noise at all. After a long day of walking you probably want a good night's sleep, that's probably not going to happen. Street traffic is loud and people tend to yell outside.

Cons: bed sagged. a/c noisy. facilities worn.

Cons: No problems at all.

Cons: It was hot. Not sure the hotel can control the weather.

Cons: The bed was a little uncomfortable. I couldn't tell if the comforter was sliding down inside the duvet or it was just really thin.

Cons: Our shower head did not want to stay put. We booked online and I guess when doing so they like to give you the handicap accessible room. Parking was expensive! Breakfast was $60 for two people that will get you eggs and bacon.

Cons: The bellhop shattered a bottle of vodka that was in my suitcase....said "I should have told them it was fragil" I don't think that gives them the right to just throw my stuff around as if there was nothing of worth in there....what if it was a bottle of cologne that broke - would I have had to tell them it was fragile for something as small as that. After all my stuff was covered in vodka, they let me use their laundry services and actually ended up replacing the bottle with something of similar value. It ended up being okay and I was thankful for the replacement.

Cons: it's more of a wish - wish you guys had free breakfast. Most hotels do nowadays.
