Pros: Overall, a nice hotel and had a good stay. I especially enjoyed the gym, which was the best hotel gym I've ever tried - had a lifting platform, power racks, and dumbbells going up to 120 lbs. My only complaint would be the daily parking fee, nearly $50 a day. Nearby garages seemed to be charging $20-$25 a day.

Pros: I like the location of the hotel.Near all the tourist actractions. I would also like to take this time to talk about two staff members. One staff was working behing the bar. I cant remember his name but he was from morocco. He was very friendly, helpfull and always had a service with a smile. He talks to the coustmers and makes you feel at home. Another staff member was female. She worked as a conserage. She was americian. She wears glasses. While I was there she seemed to work during the evening/night. These two staff members are the standard for all staff in your hotel. I would be greatful if you pass this masage to your two staff members in questiob.

Pros: The hotel has been recently renovated, so everything was brand new. Note that only half of the hotel is the "historic" part, now the other half is new. That didn't bother me at all. There was a very nice, upscale feel to the whole place. The staff were wonderful - very nice and accommodating. I stayed one night and when I came into my room after being out, all of my lights weren't working - a breaker had blown. When I called the front desk, it was taken care of within 10 minutes by a very polite maintenance staffer.

Pros: The hotel was quiet, the room furnishings were fresh and attractive, and I found the decor pleasing generally. The room overlooked the courtyard, which was also quiet. A good location too--we were able to walk to many of our destinations right from the hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I needed a cab one rainy morning, and asked at the front desk if they could call for one. Instead, the bellman grabbed his umbrella and went out to the street, down to the nearest busy corner, and whistled up one for me. Above and beyond!

Pros: From the moment we stepped out of our rental car the hotel staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We had just come in to DC from two days of flying and driving and right away the hotel staff made us feel right at home. They carried our bags, helped us with transportation in DC by pointing us in the right direction, and even gave us apples on our way out for the day. We had never been to DC and have 2 small children and did all the sight seeing we could pack in for 2 days. The location of the hotel was great. One night the weather was great and we all enjoyed the walk through the city back and forth from the Washington Monument. It is quite the walk, so if you are not up for it we also took a cab and used Lyft in which every place only cost about 10.00 to get a ride to and from the hotel. I also feel compelled to mention that maybe it was the look on our faces when we stepped out of our car after the long traveling experince with 2 small kids, but whatever it was they upgraded our room to a balcony! I think her name was Elena that offered the upgrade, and it was very much appreciated!

Pros: Everything about my stay at The Watergate was top notch.
The hotel and rooms really are as nice as in the pictures. Most hotels never seem to be as they present themselves. The Watergate, however, does NOT disappoint! Opening my room door for the first time felt as if I was walking into the photos themselves.
The staff are incredible. There was an unforeseen issue with my flight coming into town, making me a day late. A simple 2 minute phone call to the hotel (no BS wait times) to give them a heads up was all it took. Upon arrival the next day, the very first person I interacted with had full knowledge of my situation, knew me by name, and already had my room key in-hand. Check-in and check-out was a breeze.
Can't beat the location (a short walk and I was at the White House) and the restaurant downstairs (Kingbird) is phenomenal.
Would highly recommend to anyone.

Pros: Room was very nice and clean, very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. However, parking in the garage was VERY expensive- $43 for one night. I sucked it up and paid it. I prepaid for the room for Kayak, so it wasn't a big deal. I saw that they had put a $50 hold on my card as well.
After I left, they charged my card the $43 for the parking and released the $50 hold, but one week later, I still have a $43 hold for the parking on my card. After contacting the hotel, leaving messages for billing, the garage, and all types of people, I finally got through to Hilton Guest assurance who contacted management for me. The management's response was that this was standard practice and to take it up with the credit card company. The credit card company cannot do anything with pending charges. I've never seen a hold last so long, especially after they have collected their money.
