Pros: We were surprised by the quality of breakfast especially as the breakfast area was quite small but everything was so fresh and flavourful and of a really high standard. They kept replenishing the breakfast area as well. We really enjoyed our stay and ended up staying in our room longer than we thought as we had a terrace and everything was so nice and comfortable. Really liked the bar area too.

Pros: Perfect location and the staff were amazing. So friendly and always smiling - nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and light. The bed was very comfortable and free bottle waters were a nice touch. Amazing en-suite, nice powerful shower.
Cons: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

Pros: Shower, receptionist locstion
Cons: My bedroom was on the ground floor beside a busy walkway. The window didn't close with a minimum gap of five inches. It was a bit scary when I went out that someone would get in and there was constantly noise from people talking as they walked by through the.night. A homeless man sleeping outside the window was very polite but the window should have been closable from the noise perspective with some sort of bars for security and safety. Outside of that the bed was comfortable, the shower power full and hot. The reception staff were helpful and the location very central for Covent garden and tubes. But in the end not being able to sleep for fear and noise reasons is not acceptable at the price There are better and cheaper option in the area.

Cons: 4 stories, no lift
1.0 Poor

Pros: The staff were friendly
Cons: We were next to a busy walkway on the ground floor. The street light shone straight into the window all night so it was like daylight all night. There was hardly room to walk round the bed and it was very dated.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location. Prosecco for my cousin birthday which was lovely. Everything was Fab...
Cons: Stairs....would ask for a room on 1st floor nxt time and just a shame no breakfast facility.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and comfortable and very quiet - remarkably so for a central London location. It is ideally situated for theatre-going. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I will certainly return to The Fielding for my next trip.
Cons: I'm not now sure if the booking page mentioned that there is no lift. The stairs are narrow and could be a problem for someone with impaired mobility; but I was asked if I needed a hand with my bags so help is available. I had booked a superior room which was described as 'spacious'. I would certainly argue with this as far as the room was concerned but the en-suite WAS a good size (which is quite rare) and very nicely done - but the fan did not work.
7.6 Good
Pros: Excellant location in between bow stret and drury lane
Cons: At £168 for the night a bit expensive due to no breakfast at hotel. But it was excellent location

Pros:
Cons: The wait time for everything was exceedingly slow. A food order could take over 90 min for delivery.
The rooms were not sound proof you could here every person who walked by and what they were saying.
The staff were not trained for a hotel of that price.
The breakfast selection was mediocre and the same everyday for the 9 days I was there. The hotels decor is old and outdated. It was difficult to even have a bottle of water delivered.
The food was less and average.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Staff were extremely rude and check In was delayed 1 hour 40 minutes due to staff not being able to handle booking correctly. I would avoid this hotel as there are many other options with much better service. We stay at Waldorf and other Hilton brands around the world this is genuinely the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel and just a few mins walk from Charing Cross main line station, as well as restaurants, theatres and convent garden.
Cons:
2.0 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: My treatment, for complaints abut the drilling heard in my room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly located, the rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. I was very impressed
Cons: Hard to fault.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location & breakfast buffet
Cons: Would like a hook on the back of the bathroom door to hang clothes
6.0 Good
Pros: Extremely small room, the breakfast was great, the rooms were clean, the neighborhood was too busy, a lot of bums and homelessness
Cons: Hotel overall was okay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Strand Palace is conveniently located within walking distance of many of the sights that we were interested in visiting. In addition the staff was wonderful, friendly and always available. Our room was very comfortable and the restaurant was delicious. They couldn’t do enough for you. On our day of departure they even packed us a breakfast to take with us to the airport for an early flight.
Cons: Nothing. This hotel is quality throughout.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bed. The new renovations. The decor. Refrigerator and minibar. Breakfast. Air conditioning. Stayed here almost annually since 1988-89. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in London.
Cons: All great but no spare toilet paper on my final night. Hand soap not replaced unless I asked after first couple of days. No salt on.tables.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is
Cons:
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and location was really good.
Cons: Thought it was a little pricey and the lifts took ages in the morning and were very packed. (Nothing you can do about that I guess).
4.2 Okay
Pros: The room is really small but price is high. I preferred this one as I thought it should be big enough according to 231 pounds per night. However, it is super tiny. And I am disappoint to the staffs.
Cons:
5.4 Okay
Pros: Spotlessly clean, recent updated rooms.
Cons: The rooms are tiny. I stayed here a year ago and the old style room was fairly spacious (for London). This room was tiny... To call it Deluxe is a bit of a stretch. I'm 5'10" and could lay down touching both walls. I tried this. It was easy!!!
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel staff were nice and helpful. I asked them how to get from the hotel to the airport and they even sold me the train ticket I needed.
Cons: • The bed was incredibly hard. It was like sleeping on the floor. My back hurt all the time. • The bathroom has no door which means that if you have air conditioning on in your room, and you take a shower you will be very cold when you get out of the shower. It also means that if you pee the whole room smells like pee. • The shower is built in such a way that if you move around too much, water starts getting out of the shower and into your floor. It is very modern and pleasing to the eye, but not very practical. • The hotel must be under construction, because every morning starting from 6am I heard sounds of people building and hammering. • While I was in the shower the last day of my stay the cleaning staff tried to enter my room at 8:30am which isn't that late. Thank god I had let the emergency lock on the door. Otherwise the cleaning staff would have seen me naked in the shower. • The Wi-fi is pretty bad.

Pros: It’s location and it’s a little quirky. Would have been great if they sort out breakfast service, mould and the heating.
Cons: They had a problem with the heating which they failed to tell us about- we sweated all night. Got up and out breakfast didn’t appear- no apologies. They just let us sit there for 45 minutes. Mould in the shower needs some attention
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Only 6 rooms in total which was nice. Free drink on arrival. Very professional staff.
Cons: Could have done with some more guidance on what was avaliable for breakfast and more information about facilities on check in.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was only rudimentary. We took a taxi from KX station to the hotel which is opposite a famous theatre. Liked the brightly lit bathroom.
Cons: The hotel needs a bit more TLC from the staff. Carpets on the floors were unpleasantly unappealing. The hotel is more a saloon bar in character than the eponymous library of its name.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the Library feeling, anyone who has read The Historian would understand. Bespoke place, excellently situated.
Cons: I found nothing to dislike
5.0 Okay
Pros: It’s quirkiness and central locations
Cons: We stayed here for my partners 30th birthday and first ever trip to London. I can safely say I didn’t like having to pay for the room twice and being ignored when I explained I had already paid. I didn’t like how I was told to wait in my room while a refund was sorted (once I could prove I had already paid once) and that they would call up to let us know when this was complete, to then wait an hour with no call. The refund had been sorted within 5 minutes but nobody let us know until we went downstairs to find out how long it would take. I didn’t like how nobody apologised for the way they had treated us. Most of all I didn’t like how they have ignored every attempt of contact we have tried, to complain about our stay. I should note we have not asked for a refund or any freebies, but just an apology that we deserve.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location is excellent staff are really helpful and the room we booked had a lovely terrace
Cons: I didn’t like the mouse that ran across the room while we were eating breakfast! And the music from the bar downstairs was quite loud until 1am.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is absolutely perfect
Cons: The air con was broke in the terrace room, the hot tap didn’t work and the terrace view was poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The small intimate atmosphere, a little hidden gem.
Cons: Nothing
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was excellent, check in staff were good, other than that didn’t see them
Cons: Room was not adequately cleaned. Bathroom had visible limescale staining. Self service breakfast was awful, limited selection, dirty tables, cold coffee. It felt like we were eating in a nightclub the day after, sticky floors and tables. The whole place needs a good and thorough cleaning. Poor value for the price paid.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Great location and paid extra for a terrace so we could smoke.
Cons: Pokey room, bed was v average, bathroom had no running cold water only hot from the cold tap. Toilet flush handle bust. Mini bar v expensive. No ashtray available when requested for the terrace Terrace was v shabby. Pots full of weeds and cigarette ends ( obviously)
