Pros: The Park Plaza Riverbank London is perfectly situated, particularly if you will rely on public transportation to get around London. The hotel is a short walk to the Vauxhall Station, which includes access to National Rail, bus, and the underground (Victoria line). The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very modern. There were illuminated controls on each side of the bed for the lights, plus an electronic method for lighting up a "privacy" or "please clean the room" sign outside the door. The bathroom included both a tub and a (very small, but well-appointed) walk-in shower (which did not leak). The price was excellent for a London hotel. We did not use the restaurant or other facilities at the hotel, so we cannot comment on them.

Pros: My room was probably the quietest I have ever had in a city hotel. The position of the hotel is good for access to the river, the St Pauls/Tower Bridge tourist interests and comfortable walking distance from the city. Although not my favourite architectural style, the steel, glass and marble style of this hotel is well implemented. My room was well equipped with electronic gadgetry from contactless door card to Ipod dock and flat screen TV with good range of channels.

Pros: The previous really positive guest reviews made me try this hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The location close to St Paul's is perfect, and the value for money you get at this hotel is OK for London standards. Big plus: Though the hotel is in the upper price category, they offer free WiFi. I expect this from hotels of any category nowadays, but it´s not standard (yet).

Pros: The new look, contemporary design and rooms are furnished immaculately and easily one of the best rooms I have stayed at in London. I recommend contacting Guest Relations (Simonetta in particular - who is simply one of the most professional and courteous people I have ever met)prior to arrival so they can ensure an enjoyable stay. They ensure all your needs are met prior to check in.

Pros: Spent about a week in London and stayed at the St. Giles. No regrets. Close to the West End action and much cheaper than some in the area. This hotel is also frequented by bus tours - Ugh.
The room was good though small (almost Japanese hotel room small). We did not partake of their restaurants and went to a much, much better buffet down the street for breakfast.

Pros: The location is excellent (just behind the Tate Museum & the MI-5 HQ, as well as only a couple of minutes away from the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey). Tube stations are 10min.+ away, but the area is well covered by buses. The common spaces look clean and modern and the staff is friendly and polite (but nothing "over the top", though). If you manage to get a good deal, it could be a very affordable hotel in the middle of London. I paid £550 for 5 nights, but a few days before or a few days after my stay and I could've easily paid around £1,200 for the same number of nights in the same period - mid-August.

Pros: We arrived from a 10-hour international flight, and needed to cope with jetlag. V. comfortable suite, particularly liked the floor-to-ceiling windows. Enjoyed dinner at the City Cafe - good choices, including comfort food (soup, etc) after long flight. Bed and bed linens superb, bathroom was spacious and well-fitted for two people to share. Plenty of newspapers in lobby. Two iMacs in the suite for both TV and free internet connection - brilliant and much appreciated. Nice touches of complimentary fruit bowl/wine/water/chocolates in the room, much appreciated again. Taxis seemed permanently available in front of the hotel.

Pros: I liked that it was well located (less than 10 minutes walk to the Elephant & Castle tube station), St Pancras train station is 15 minutes away by tube and there are many buses around the hostel. You can also find a Spar and a Tesco Express supermarket as well as many kebabs next door if you want to grab something to eat. I stayed in a 4 beds dorm wich was clean and I had a nice view on the Shard. Toilets and shared showers were clean too.
