Pros: The location is great. Right around the corner from the V&A and the Natural History Museum. Across the street from the Tube, and surrounded by great restaurants. This was the perfect home base for a weekend in London. The decor was charming and whimsical, sort of Alice in Wonderland with lots of bright colors and a bird theme which ran through the hotel. Our room was small as most London Hotels are, and finding a place to stow the luggage was a bit of a hat trick, but once we figured it out, everything was great. Although we never had breakfast at the hotel, we did have morning coffee and tea in the tea room every day. Delightful. Would return in an instant!

Pros: The hotel is truly lovely. I think we had the smallest room there which I booked unknowingly. But it worked just fine. The bed was so comfy. There were slippers and robes and the bathroom floor was heated. The daily tea was also very nice. I can't write enough to explain how exceptional the hotel, staff and location were. You will have to try it for yourself. Overall I plan to go back to London and stay here again.

Pros: I loved pretty much everything about the hotel. I stayed there twice in September. It was gorgeous inside, extremely well located near the South Kensington tube and nearby pubs and restaurants in Chelsea, the staff was simply wonderful and the rooms were pretty and very comfortable. Also loved the front room where you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine, and the breakfast room downstairs. The free water, juices and soft drinks provided in the bar fridge were a nice touch.

Cons: The gym was very well appointed in terms of weights, towels and free water but the space was too small in my view, it needed to be at least double the size as only 2-3 people would comfortably fit. Equally, the smaller hotel rooms (where my sisters stayed) have limited space if you are staying for more than 2 nights, but the hotel reception kindly advised us of this beforehand.

Pros: Great location, nice staff, comfortable bed
Cons: Room is too small and breakfast is overpriced

Pros: The location was good and the staff were very efficient. Hotel was clean and service was excellent.
Cons: In ordering the English breakfast, my husband was asked if he would like toast and beans with the breakfast. Assuming that it was included with the full breakfast, we were surprised at the additional $3.00 cost per item on our final bill. Not happy.

Pros: The Kensington hotel staff are the highlight of our stay. They went out of their way to help get our room ready as we had arrived on an early morning flight. We found the staff very hospitable respectful and relaxing.
Cons: I think the lighting in rooms could be improved. Carpet looking a bit tired. Guests above us had very noisy children so perhaps room allocation of families with small children needs to be considered - we did have to call reception several times as it was very annoying having the noise above us.

Pros: The concierge is great. They are helpfull, fast n courteous.
Cons: The room that l stayed in has the most awkward lay out. The toilet roll fixture was placed at the side of the bathtub exactly where you get in n out. It got splashed by water from the shower, and one can easily slip over its 15cm protruding metal rod for the spare tissue roll. The magnifying glass was only able to face to the toilet area n not to your face. The toilet flusher was behind the toilet cover. So each time you need to flush it, you ll have to first close the cover. The distance between the wall mirror inside the bathroom, to where you stand in front of the basin was so far that one need to bent extra to see your makeup. But this issue may not be for everybody. One who is taller then my 5.4" height maybe able to reach it better. In general... l used to stay at Crown Plaza Singapore. The experience is very different.

Pros: - I was very happy with the service and location. - Concierge were very helpful in giving us the right recommendation and advice - I had a noisy next door neighbour which the hotel staff were very quick in resolving the next day and also managed to upgrade the room.

Pros: Perfect location immediately across the street from the South Kensington Tube stop. Has a large elevator which a lot of these townhome-style hotels do not have. There are a couple of stairs from elevator to room, but far better this than lugging luggage up flights of stairs. We dropped our luggage in the morning and returned in the evening and they had already moved bags up into our room for us.

Pros: Our room was perfectly set up for the traveller with a perfect set up for your clothes and plenty of room.
Cons: The entrance has 3 steps,a long step and then 2 more steps which makes it impossible for the handicap to access. So sad for such a perfect hotel. This seems to be true for a lot of London hotels.

Pros: Great location, clean and pretty hotel with friendly staff. Room was remarkably quiet considering location. We were in and out quickly so we didn't get to spend much time there.
Cons: There's only one thing that could have been better and that was the size of the room. We'd booked a superior room but it was quite small with stairs inside the room and some things (tea pot, hair dryer) to be plugged into the closet with too narrow a space for two of us to pass each other from bedroom to bathroom. Otherwise, it was perfect and I'd book again but in a different room type.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Directly opposite the underground and the Pret a Manger just down the road.
Cons: A bit pricey for the small room and facilities.
7.4 Good
Pros: The location is excellent. Across the street from the be station and so many great shops, restaurants and pubs nearby. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The bed was really comfortable.
Cons: The WiFi was terrible. It connected, but was too slow to make worthwhile. Also, the tv channels didn’t include any sports! Not that I wanted to waste my vacation watching sports on tv in a hotel, but it would’ve been nice to keep up on scores and such. Also the old building was very creaky. I was awaken by the neighbors above two nights.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is really good friendly helpful staff clean rooms and the location is the best right opposite the south Kensington tube station

Pros: Very cheerful street presence. The geraniums were still in bloom and it was very pleasant to walk down the street and see the welcoming entrance. The front courtyard was very well presented. The room was well laid out and welcoming. Up to date and spotless. the housekeeping staff were thorough and diligent. They did a marvellous job of tidying our room every day. Thank you for that. Nice reading lamps in the wall, a night table on each side with electrical outlets. The suite had a mini kitchen tucked behind behind two frosted glass closet doors and held two electric burners, a nice sized sink and a relatively large mini fridge, a toaster, and a kettle, microwave, pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, glasses, cutting board. It was perfect! It was tight with not a lot of counter space between the sink and the burner elements but we managed without any hardship really. It was a lovely room with windows that opened into a courtyard storage area for the hotel. Even though there were a few employees heading in and out of the storage area from time to time, they didn’t disturb us at all. Our room also had the elevator shaft built into it and I never once heard the elevator. You could hear muffled voices in the hall as they got on and off (which is to be expected) but we never once the elevator at work. Very quiet. Very quiet hotel for the most part. And well situated as well. Within a short walking distance you had access to overground trains, underground trains, bus, a shopping mall, grocery stores, dry cleaners. Shepherds Bush is a good 7 to 10 minute walk. We didn’t find that problematic in the least. It was a very enjoyable walk.

Pros: A basic hotel, reasonably priced.
Cons: Most of the stay was fine, but twice we were given dirty towels, and one afternoon they turned the water off to the building for hours without warning. When we went to inquire, it turned out it was planned maintenance, but they did not bother to warn the guests. The bed was poor quality and you could feel the individual springs in the mattress.

Shepherds Bush is a good 7 to 10 minute walk. We didn’t find that problematic in the least. It was a very enjoyable walk.
Cons: I didn’t like the heating/cooling system. It would appear that the controls for the entire set of suites in building are at the reception desk. There is a control panel in each suite but it is regulated by the main control. The only access to temperature control in your room is how hot or cold your room based on the program they’ve chosen, but not whether you want heat vs cold. If the A/C was on you couldn’t change that. You could turn it off but then there was no air movement. And the A/C was cold. Set at 18C. We had one cool rainy day and reception turned off air and put the control at Heat. Our room was so warm it was uncomfortable sleeping. So no happy medium with the temperature controls and no in-suite regulation. The thing I really really didn’t like was the bathroom door. It was a sliding door and it was a frosted glass. No privacy really. And when you slid it shut, unless you pushed and slid at the same time, it made a god awful screech like nails on a chalkboard. No electrical outlets in the bathroom. Blow dryer was hardwired in the closet and the closet was just outside of the bathroom door. The cord wasn’t quite long enough to reach into the bathroom. I would suggest in the kitchen they might put a can opener, a corkscrew & bottle opener and a pair of scissors. I went to reception to borrow a can opener but they didn’t have on there either. Thankfully we travel with our own corkscrew! Also, my husband and I enjoy our coffee in the morning. We each have 3 cups before we even think about starting our day. Every day we had to go to the front desk to ask for a couple of pods as the 1 each provided just wasn’t enough. Every day our requests were met with a scowl and a hard glare. The coffee is complimentary so don’t make your guests work that hard to be comfortable - especially when we were there for 8 days.

Pros: Clean , quiet and the staff was excellent
Cons: Nothing
1.0 Poor
Pros: Large room in a good location.
Cons: There was black mold in our bathroom. The shower was clogged so it did not drain properly. The hotel staff could not find our reservation. The hotel overcharged us.

Pros: Clean and comfortable and my room was quiet!
Cons: Bathroom was too small and no bath!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location for Olympia.
Cons: Rooms quite noisy as hotel is on a busy street.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was convenient and quiet, local supermarket only a couple of minutes away, overground station also a couple of minutes walk.
Cons: Bed was very small for the two of us - like a king-sized single bed - the bedside tables were fixed to the sides of the bed which made it feel quite cramped.

Cons: An earlier check in would have been better. 3 o clock is quite late . We were going to proms at Hyde park so didn't actually get in room till after midnight and left again at 9.30 the following morning . But, a beautiful hotel and very comfortable.

Pros: Awesome location, girls behind the desk were lovely and helpful. Massive rooms and beautiful garden out the back.
Cons: I didn’t have breakfast included in my booking which was fine, I paid for my breakfast and after getting my breakfast the host asked me for my room number, he then came back and told me it wasn’t included very rudely, I then gave him my receipt and he continued to yell at me so I gave him my receipt again and he just said oh, no sorry or anything. But still a lovely breakfast just didn’t feel very welcome

Pros: Nice size rooms. Friendly staff. Clean.
Cons: Don't buy the breakfast. At nearly £20 each you should expect a certain standard. This was verging on dangerous. Undercooked bacon and sausage. Scrambled eggs were watery and a strange colour. Everything was cold. Literally the worst breakfast I've had in over 35 years of travelling.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is very convenient. Less than 5 minutes away from Gloucester Rd tube station with plenty of places to eat around the area
Cons: The furniture was dated and old. The chair did not feel solid and everything in the room looked and felt like it was at least 15 years old and had not been updated. The bathroom (whilst a good size) had a musty smell to it, which added to the feeling that this place needed an upgrade. The TV had very few channels on it (Freeview has more variety) and i couldn't even find the basic channels like BBC, ITV etc. There was very little room for hanging clothes since half the width of the (door-less) handing space was take up by the ironing board. The AC was very strong and the fan speed at its lowest was high. Trying to turn the temperature up or down was useless, you just get the same cool temperature. Not worth the price at all!! There are hotels in the area less than 5 minutes walk at a lower cost and significantly better than this.

Pros: The location was good and the staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Room had too many beds in for the size. 3 tier beds meant no head room in middle bunk. I had been given a bottom bunk because I have a bad back but someone had taken it. As bottom bunks were on the floor O would have struggled with them as well, to stand up when I got out. People having sex in bunks next to me and person under me had the sour smell of someone who had not washed in a long time. I suspect the person was homeless and using the hostel for somewhere to live. Breakfast was ok. I stay in hostels a lot and have stayed in the Safestay in York which was much better and not so crammed together, cleaner too. The laminate on stairs to reception was lifting on each step which is a trip hazard.

Pros: The location is awesome — in the park, good for a morning/ evening run or a quiet walk. Peaceful. Squirrels run around. Two underground stations nearby. Lots of cafes at walking distance
Cons: Showers are combined — male and female together (quite uncomfortable for both). There are lockers in rooms but you need to have your own padlock and a key (otherwise buy at the reception). No towel provided (again, can rent there). At the reception you get a card to access the hostel and your room, and you get a paper that they expect you to carry with you everywhere (so that they can identify you, if necessary). No one ever asked for that paper, but the idea itself is annoying. There is no microwave or a fridge to cook your own breakfast or store some food

I had hair on my bed even after being made so obviously the sheets were not being changed . The shower curtain was wet three days In a row inside the tub. Inspite of having do not disturb I had the housekeeping knocking at my door one the days ! I have stayed here last year that’s why I rebooked . It was a terrible experience. The staff at the reception was helpful . There was a huge line for the lift after a long day one day as 4 out of 6 were out of order ! The keys to the room stops working after one use . I had to come Down from 21st floor for the first two days ..it was just a bad experience. There are no plug points next to the bed. The list goes on and on

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the three different concierge who helped us. Location is great. Surprisingly quiet. The room was small, but adequate. The bed was comfortable; the bed linens and towels were beyond expectations.
Cons: There was a bit of a sour smell in the bathroom - the shower curtain perhaps? Minor issue. Otherwise, the bathroom was clean.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location Room service Stuff
Cons: Everything was just great especially the Kitkat chocolate they used to put for me in the room every day

Cons: Dated corridors and carpet

7.5 Good
Pros: Great location, nice staff on reception and very good breakfast.
Cons: My friend wanted room service at 10.45pm and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone.
5.0 Okay
Pros: I tried ordering a room service twice .. no one I mean no one picked up the phone for two days in a row and my toilet flush overloaded one of the days ! The list goes on and on
Cons: Only the staff at the reception was nice ..
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was awesome. We had an unfortunate fire evacuation at 03:30 but the staff handled it much better than I would have expected.
Cons: No.

7.5 Good
Pros:
Cons: Housekeeping did NOT respect the "please don't disturb" sign on the door, and did not return when I told them we would leave in 30 min. Housekeeping did not give us clean glasses and toiletpaper. When we asked in the reception they promised to bring it - but never did.

7.5 Good
Pros: Comfy beds
Cons: Apartment was on Warwick road and lots of traffic noise
4.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel was well-situated near a Tube stop. Front desk staff were friendly.
Cons: The room was small (despite being described as an "executive" room with more space), we had no telephone, and the "desk" could hardly function as a bedside table (which were completely absent). We never sampled the included breakfast because the line was so long (and/or the space so small) that we could not even see into the room to see what was offered.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: You might like this hotel prices and location but this is a trap.
I stayed in this hotel twice and both times were bad and I documented it with pictures and video.
My first stay the gave me a room in the basement with a view of walking pedestrians feet and the sound of cars tires and the entrance door was the place where they keep their garbage bags.... but that wasn't the real problem... the real problem was the entrance was full of mice! So I complained to the hotel about this and they moved me to another room.
In my second stay, they gave me a room on the 2nd floor without an elevator and I had to carry my suitcases alone though the narrow staircase without any offer to help me with it. and it's important to mention that the is room in a building around the block about half a km (about 1000 feet) from the hotel lobby.
While I was sleeping in the tiny bedroom exhausted from the two floors staircase I woke up from dripping water! the ceiling light was dripping water on me! I since the room doesn't have a phone to call the front desk I had to walk to the down the street to the front desk to tell them to check it out and water with electricity doesn't mix! so I had to wait for about 3 hours then they asked me to go back room to find nothing changed then I called them from my mobile phone so I don't have to walk to them again under the rain. after an hour a maintenance guy who smelled like he had a lot to drink looked at it then told me that they can't fix it.
a few hours after several calls later they told me to gather my important stuff and check-in another hotel to spend that night in it.
the next day they asked me to move to another room in a different building and again it's in the basement.
After all that and on my checkout day I asked to extend my checkout for an hour and they said you have to pay £10 for an extra hour. I told them I had to move from 3 different rooms during my stay with you and you ask me for £10?! the rude hotel receptionist said "if you are not happy with this write a bad review about it, but this is the hotel policy"
So this is the review you asked for.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room was beautifully presented
Cons: but the double bed was two beds pushed together which resulted in a deep groove between the two beds. So it wasn't as comfortable as you'd expect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just perfect .
Cons: no thing.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was comfortable, spacious and clean tough with quite old furniture. There is also a cute small garden to access from the breakfast room
Cons: To be a 4 stars hotel I would have expected at least satellite TV channels and a better breakfast which I found very poor as choices
