When to visit Yangon
Looking for warm weather? Then head to Yangon in April, when the average temperature is 31 °C, and the highest can go up to 37 °C. The coldest month, on the other hand, is January, when it can get as cold as 18 °C, with an average temperature of 25 °C. You’re likely to see more rain in August, when precipitation is around 640 mm. In contrast, February is usually the driest month of the year in Yangon, with an average rainfall of 2 mm.
How to Get to Yangon
Plane
When flying to Yangon, you’ll arrive at Yangon Mingaladon (RGN), which is located 6 km from the city centre. The shortest flight to Yangon from Singapore departs from Singapore and takes around 2h 55m.
Bus
The most popular bus station is Yangon Bus Station, located 7 km from the city centre of Yangon. Yangon Central Railway Station is also a commonly used station, and is 10 km from the city centre.
