Boarding was too soon because we arrived 10’ after boarding began and they were already giving ‘final call’. We just made it. We were at gate 35 minutes before the flight. Also, the departure communication board did not list the flight at all so we didn’t know boarding had already started.
Boarding and deviating was mediocre. At boarding they have not prioritized Business class. During debarking they prioritized premium economy. Also bus rides both times.
The vietnam airlines app was not able to allow checkin with the confirmation nor with the ticket number. This led to quite a bit of consternation. Speaking with a colleague from Hanoi, he did tell me that their app is not the best. It may be best to inform travelers to only use the link and to plan on checking in at the airport for this airline. The check-in was very easy and the staff were excellent.

This was our fourth domestic flight with Vietnam Airlines, and once again we found the experience very suitable. Check-in was easy and efficient. They did take our carry-on luggage, but that was fine. I’m actually happy not to deal with it on such a short flight. The flight was just over an hour, departed on time, and we climbed above the clouds into a beautiful sunset. Even on such a short flight, they served water, which we appreciated. Luggage came out into carousel in Nha Trang in good time and off we went to meet our GRAB. Also, Vietnam Airlines have easy to locate ground level offices in cities and towns where you can get assistance with staff. I liked this service as we did go visit one in Nha Trang. We would definitely recommend Vietnam Airlines and wouldn’t hesitate to fly with them again.
Really good 👍 This was our first time flying with Vietnam Airlines. It was a short domestic flight, so no meal service, but boarding was organized and the flight departed and arrived on schedule. The flight attendants were professional and neatly presented. All in all, a very good first experience. We would recommend Vietnam Airlines.
We flew with their partner VESCO on a small plane, it was a really good flight. There was no food or entertainment as it’s a one hour hopper flight.
Vietnam airlines is just one step upper to the cheapest one (vietjet, if you wanted delays and cancel or feel like a criminal then vietjet is for you) for sure better customer cares and on time.
Jetstar was terrible. They left us without boarding passes for the connecting flight for several hours, for no reason. They should have given us the boarding passes for the connecting flight, but instead we were stuck in a “customs limbo” in Ho Chi Minh airport until very shortly before we were to board. No reason for them not to give us the connecting boarding passes.

The flight has been delayed for nearly an hour, yet neither the captain nor the chief steward made an effort to explain the reason for the delay or offer any apologies to the passengers.
We recently flew with AirAsia and encountered several issues. Our flight was delayed by over an hour, and both boarding and takeoff were postponed without any prior notification. Although we eventually realized there was a delay on our own, the crew did inform us afterward. To make up for lost time, the pilot took off at high speed, resulting in some turbulent moments that were quite scary. Despite these challenges, the cabin crew did an excellent job managing the situation and easing the inconvenience. Overall, while the delays and turbulence made for a stressful experience, I appreciated the crew’s efforts to keep us as comfortable as possible.
I had a wonderful experience with this company. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our pilot was skilled and clearly experienced. The value for the price was excellent. I would definitely recommend them.
My flight boarding was interrupted as gate staff said I needed visa in advance for Vietnam....
Premium check in was worth it. Boarding process was a little chaotic. Seats were super cramped and I am less than 80kg and 180cm
The flight delay... but bus from the airport be on time
Second time flying on AirAsia. They’re fine for a low cost carrier, so I don’t expect high level hospitality. They could have informed us that the flight would be delayed even if by a few minutes, instead of the passengers asking the gate agents why we’re not boarding 8 minutes before takeoff. And given some of the passengers on this particular flight were problematic, the crew did great handling such people.
It’s THE worst international flying experience I have had. I will avoid this airline.
