It was a bus boarding that was delayed by weather supposedly but the Tiger Air flight that was due to depart from the same gate area 35 minutes later actually took off on time before our flight. I lived in Malaysia and Singapore for eight years in the late '80's and early '90's, at which time I thought that Malaysian was the best airline in the sky. Sadly, their present service is US airline quality at best without the general ability of US carriers to keep to schedule which makes them one of the worst in Asia."

I am seeking further compensation through Australian Fair Trading and through Class Action Lawyers (as this impacted every passenger on this flight, not just Business Class)"

When we got to the front, we were asked to pay the bag fee with a credit card and the processing fee in cash. Since we were only connecting in Singapore, of course we did not have cash. She could not process the charge, walked us over to a new desk and a new line where they processed the bag charge without the cash fee (how this wasn't done initially, I have no idea) and finally, we were finished with the check in process an hour later."

We made it back to Hyderabad and like we knew the whole time, his VISA was fine."

You do it all yourself. Flight was on time. The aircraft was newer and clean. This airline is perhaps more dependable than some of the other smaller low cost Asian airlines. Food and entertainment got low rating because there was none really but this was only an hour long flight."

The seats are one of the big weaknesses - they don't have any kind of adjustable headrest and have vinyl covers and you can see the dirt and grime around the edges and under the cover. If the person behind you has long legs you'll feel their knees in your back. No screen to watch anything either. The seat cover combined with the warm temperature makes a pretty uncomfortable trip - not a big deal on a short 1 or 2 hour jump, but for 5+ hours it's a bit much."

Cons: "one checked bag for an international flight is extra. I flew on JetStar airlines from Singapore to Manila I made a purchase $35 body spray with in the airport in Tokyo. I was told before boarding my JetStar flight that I could not keep my gifts because of the size of the bottles. I do not believe that this is fair due to the fact that I connected directly from Tokyo to Singapore. When I purchased the gifts in Tokyo I was allowed to board the flight. Is it anyway possible that I can resolve this issue?"

Pros: "I'm quite upset to be informed by the airline that going to Taiwan requires minimum 6 months expiry date. When I purchased the airticket it was also not stated. In the end I have no choice but to postponed my flight until I get my passport renewed."

Cons: "Outrageous baggage fees. I paid over $200 USD for 2 bags. This was so much more than the actual flight itself. I was never told how crappy Jetstar's baggage policy was and I will never fly them again. In fact, it makes me bitter with Kayak even though it doesn't necessarily reflect on you. You should never recommend this airline EVER AGAIN!!"

Cons: "Their 7kg TOTAL allowance for bags is RIDICULOUS. Only airline I have traveled with that enforces this so unfairly on a flight that wasn't even as low cost as they advertised. Not even the cheapest european airlines like Ryanair or the asian ones like Airasia become so pushy on this. I was forced to pay $40 for a carry on bag because of an annoying security officer who didn't even worked for Jetstar while I was going through security. What's the security risk there? On top of that to my surprise I saw people on my flight carrying 2 or more bags with evident overweight according to this unfair policy. So the rule is random and note applied evenly. Be careful if flying with them. Besides, the aircraft was cheap, uncomfortable and unpleasant."
Cons: "The service was very bad especially when I checked in my luggages. They have changed me 13400 bat Thailand for the lugged and when I checked the bill when I left. She gave me two bills only and nothing else. We were three she charged us 13400 bat why is that. We have lugged for me 2 luggages total weight 28.8 kg. Plus 15.6 kg for my friend and 20 kg for the third ticket. Why is that?"

Cons: "Even though I paid for both tickets at the same time, using the same card (the tickets were bought together) my assigned seats were NOT sitting together. When I approached the JetStar staff about this, they told me the flight was full and nothing could be done. When I asked again they told me there was no way to move my seats together for this flight. I (personally) asked other people on the flight to move, and everything ended up being OK. However this was not due to JetStar staff at all. All in all, I guess I got what I paid for: I bought a cheap flight and I got bad service. Kind of expected with a budget carrier like Jetstar ."
