A part of the interior wall fell off onto my foot upon take off and I had to hold it in place for a while until a hostess came....doesn’t give you the best feeling when the plane starts breaking on take off. One of the male stewards was appalling towards a young mum I sat next too...too the extent of giving her dirty looks because she spilled a bit of water on the seat and then told her she had to pack everything away she was using, including the baby wipes! I stepped in and told him how this was not ok and all other staff members were helpful and he was making this Mum upset. He should not be working for such a people friendly reputable airline! Maybe Jetstar instead! Was appalled at the entire flight to be honest!"

Rating low to the crew mainly because of the ground staff as they were not very communicative to begin with about the explanation for our delay. Only when the passengers got a bit more vocal about wanting explanations, they started giving us a bit more information. All estimated times given for boarding the flight were incorrect by a big margin! Seemed more like they were giving shorter wait time for boarding just to please the passengers, where as they were well aware of how long the wait would be."

I am usually very quite and light on demands as i hardly hit call button on the seat to get any assistance, but during meal, I was asked about drink and I opted for Ginger ale. Crew said, she will get back to me and I did not hear from her for another 10 mins, then there was repeat serve of drinks and I was asked if i needed any thing and asked the same drink, but then I was asked to wait. After I had finished off my meal and ready to go to sleep, someone was bringing my drink out and I then respectfully say no to it as it was bit late after the meal and asked for water instead and did not like the look on the face of the crew member. I saw it happening with other passengers as well and was under the impression, the whole crew performance was pretty poor and SIA was not up to its high-standards as I always like to fly with them. I will look for different option next time"

My husband and daughter were in First Class. The service was below average to say the least - more training required from check in to on board - (in Sydney the staff on the ground went above and beyond) In Singapore it was very fake and contained no sincerity. The lounge itself was also ordinary compared to others, no Amenity kits or PJs in business class - even Virgin Australia has that! I was so excited to be travelling Singapore again given past experiences but now Im not sure I will want to fly them again."

Pros: "We paid for a thai international flight which includes allowing us to use the lounge. We were told in china that WE was the airline not thai international and we could not use the lounge, had no baggage allowance other than the minimum. We chose TG because it was star alliance and we are permanent lifetime gold members. There is no reason to pay a premium for TG if it is not a TG flight and we cannot use the lounge or have a low baggage limit. The check in staff noted our bags were exactly 20 kgs each and said there would be a charge of USD45 per kilo if we had exceeded that amount. This is ridiculous given that we should have the same as UA or SG."

Cons: "There's only one down side of this flight. The Lucknow international airport terminal is downright embarrassing. There are four or five desks to handle passport control. That's fine, but none has a label on it as to who should be at which. NonIndians should go to the extreme left one. Then they have one xray machine that all arrivals have to put their carry-ons through while the previous flight is trying to put all their heavy luggage (they are most likely all male workers coming from the Gulf). Then there is a small, rickety belt with everyone crowded around for the luggage. Well, there are two belts, but only one is functional. And to top it off, most of the luggage carts have at least one broken wheel! Amazing and embarrassing when arriving from any terminal almost anywhere! Lucknow, you have a lovely domestic terminal, wake up and build an international one! Shurum ki bat ha!"

After going through the whole security screening process to enter the departures area (I boarded in Singapore), the whole security process is performed again to get to the gate. Why do I and my carry-on luggage need to be checked twice? Once at the gate, all passengers are herded like sheep into an area that has insufficient seats for the number of passengers, so many are left to stand or sit on the floor. If the airline wants to use a plane that carries 500+ passengers, then use a gate that can accommodate that number."

Only found out that the flight may be cancelled from an email from kayak. Eventually got on a flight 6 and a half hours later. When leaving the board still said ek5101 delayed. I am sure if left up to Emirates / Qantas we would still be sitting at Dubai looking at the board."

Cons: "I was denied checking in a the counter. I bought the ticket with a friends credit card and they needed to have the actual card to swipe and then only they get access to my booking. It is company policy but it is not stated when you are making the purchase the airlines website. It says so on the bottom of the ticket on the page long rules in small print. And in all honesty who reads all of that these days. The ground crew were nice enough to take me to the airlines office at the airport and figure out a solution. It took an hour and a half to sort it out and get a verification from headquarters office in Srilanka."

Cons: "In the Delhi airport we never interacted with anyone from Sri Lankan Airlines because a third party was contracted to work the counters, check us in, issue boarding passes, etc... These workers were all maybe 20 years old and possessed what seemed like zero training to do their job at all. They never had any answers and just smiled while saying “I don’t know” a million times. We were corralled and moved and waited hours while they ran around doing nothing."

Cons: "Unfortunately the it was a bumpy ride as most of the time the seat belt sign was on and crew had to discontinue services for a while. This was beyond airlines control. The crew did not distribute the Sri lankan landing cards onboard. This caused some confusions for first time travellers as they had to cone off the immigration queue and went to pick the card up and to complete. Some foreigners were unhappy about it."

My travel was of 10 hours and after 3 hours of departure I started having pain in my back...seat was poorly structured. . Its like cushion of seats were dead n on top of it that cushion behind back was too outside.. I was not able to sleep at all as was not comfortable.. Also there was no system at Srilankan airport.. No barriers for travelers so that people stand in cue but no one was following lines as there were none.. Will never fly with Srilankan airlines again ever.."

The ingredients seemed fresh. The crew were awesome: polite, kind, and considerate. They were eager to accommodate passengers' requests. The jets were new and clean. The entertainment system was touch-screen."
Cons: "The passengers were loud and ill-mannered. They gave the crew a tough time. These complaints, of course, is not a reflection of the airline."

Cons: "Part of the travel was delayed by 2 hours (SIN to COLOMBO) on 22 Dec 2017. Online check-in is bad. I cannot change the pre-selected seat because all shown taken. Must be handled at the counter. So what is the point to do online check-in."

Pros: "Like fying in the dark ages. Our first leg crew did a great job and offered first person information about what not to miss on our tour. Pretty much everything else went from bad to worse!"
Cons: "Our bags got lost on arriving flight and in this day of advanced technology and airport security, no one could even tell “where” our two pieces of luggage was located for 4 days. Needless to say our one time trip to Sri Lanka didn’t happen the way we planned."

Pros: "Colombo to Male & vice versa by Sri Lankan airlines has been very disappointing to be polite with regard to disgusting food served by them in small cardboard box with no choices whatsoever unlike a standard career nor what they practiced in the past by serving real food chics, not even a cup of tea or copy. Disgracely shocking practice by a national career & not by any means budget airline. Previously Mihiri Air served even better choice of food & drink at moderate prices but price of ticket was at least 50% cheaper. SL Govt with SLA With no regard for passenger comfort nor giving them a reasonabl deal on his sector should be condemned & boycotted. As a regular traveler I will look at Emirates as a better airlines despite with a different time slots still would be cheaper & value FO money. Wake up Sri Lankan Airlines from your slumber"

Cons: "I had excess luggage and I knew I had to pay for it, I was fine with the fee they quoted. I gave them my American Express card and they did not have the facility to charge that card, how do they not have the ability to use s major credit card at the Bangalore international airport??????? They gave me such a hard time I thought they were going to kick me off the plane just because they had short coming. I had no problem paying the quated amount, since they had the short coming they were blaming me. After a lot discussion/arguments I was able to find a Visa card on me and pay for the excess luggage, but its your short coming and not mine as I had no problem paying the fees yet I was treated badly. What if I did not have a Visa card then would I have been kicked out the plane for something the bangalore international airport have problems. No one should be blamed for issues you have. I had no problem paying to fees... you had the problem that you could not use a major credit card, when there are small markets on the street that can use the American Express card. You should be able to charge people American Express card this is a large international airport with loads of expats living and traveling in and out of Bangalore I hope you look into this instead of just asking for feedback and not doing anything about it. Cons: "My bags were screened three times. Really? Once through security, we were told the gate wasn't open so we were escorted back out. And then had to go through security again. Chaos. No lines just pushing and shoving, people crawling under the rope and cutting the line. No matter the flight, the airport over shadows every thing."

This is not my fiest time to use kayak app but this time was thr worst and it changed my mindset about travel agents, unfortunately my friends were correct when they said to book directly through airline not kayak..!!!"

Cons: "Service is on par with American Airlines which I usually expect a little better with international airlines. Food overalll was terrible. They are not really offering any choices. Even I was first few to be served in the cabin, I was given paneer with rice without offering any options. I complained that how can they possibly run out of options already. They run to the front and got me a chicken meal and told me that was the last one they have. Haha, I totally believed him (not). The meal before landing we were served paneer again. Ugh! Plane is overall dated. They made everybody to fit and weigh the carry on before boarding. My carryon did not fit (although it was pretty standard size carry on) and was over their 7kg (15lbs) weight. I checked mine in since I did not check in any other luggage. But many people were forced check in and pay extra check in fee because they are already at their luggage allowance."

Cons: "I had a lot of issues with Etihad this trip. First, they changed our return date no less than 3 different times, one of them by more than 2 days. Then, they wouldn't allow us to pick up our checked luggage for our layover in Abu Dhabi because it was under 24 hours long. Unfortunately, while we made our connecting flight the next day, our luggage did not. We ended up spending 3 days without luggage, and ultimately went to the airport ourselves in order to make our tour."

Pros: "I wanted to cancel my flight ticket 2/3 days after buying it. I called vayama and they told me that it can't be canceled. I asked to reschedule the booking instead and they told me that rescheduling will cost me more than the price of the original ticket! Now I lost the money I paid! I will stop booking my flights through kayak going forward. I am not happy with the service and the policies do not make any sense. This was a waste. I am very disappointed. I had a serious personal reason to not to fly and nothing was taken in to consideration. I will pass this to all people I know."
