I'm 6'2" and had good leg room in coach. The food was decent and the boarding process went pretty smoothly. Each seat had a power outlet below it (kinda out of sight). Overall my flight was pretty good.

The entrainment system was a little bit older semi touch screen (no usb charger). Air china was similar to China Eastern as they demanded all cell phones stay off for the duration of the flight. No WIFi was available for purchase.

Hi, I would like to file for a full refund for the flight which I purchased. Upon arriving at the ticketing counter at LAX, I was denied my boarding pass with the reason that I needed a transit visa. I did not need a transit visa as I hold a Malaysian passport. The ticketing agent was being unprofessional and told me to walk to the Eva air counter to purchase another ticket if I so desperately want to leave. I purchased a business class ticket and was being treated really rudely. I have contacted Air China customer service but they are not responsive or helpful in any way. I showed them the China embassy website stating that I do not need a transit visa and they called me the next day saying they are willing to reschedule my flight for another $700. I would like a full refund for the ticket I purchased. Thanks, Sue

Checking in for this flight with hundreds of passengers was handled by only 3 China Eastern counters, and these counters weren't even open until about 2 hours before departure, which was barely enough to allow for the 80-minute check-in and the security/immigration screenings afterward. The fight itself was all right, but China Eastern needs much more efficiency on the ground.

Flight delayed over 40 hours, in China! Nothing anyone can do about it. Totally got screwed by Air Gina. Almost missed the wedding I was officiating. Worse part is that Kayak has no customer service number to call for help. Never again. If that wasn't enough, they lost a bag on my return flight. Pay the extra money and get treated like a human being.

Some flights out of PVG require you to board the plane from the tarmac using stairs. Uncomfortable during in climate weather. OK a bit picky.

After long, chaotic lines to transfer planes in Beijing to head to Shenzhen I was showing my passport to the security guard, and suddenly he calls for someone, and another guard walks away with my passport. I had no idea what was going on. I wasn't told to follow him, but he had my passport, so I followed the guard to get my passport back, and the guard hands me my passport, laughs, and points upward. I walk upstairs and see a mess of lines. A bunch of flights were canceled due to a small storm. The machines to rebook a flight were broken, so I had to wait in a line for 2+ hours in order to rebook a flight for the following day. We were told that there would be a complimentary hotel, but I waited in a line for an hour to inquire about a hotel room, only to be told where my luggage was. They could have held up a sign saying where everyone's luggage was, instead of misleading us, saying it was a line for a hotel room. My suitcase was in a pile of suitcases from all the flights that were canceled, and was difficult to find. After spending 6 hours at the airport sorting out new travel plans, I ended up with no place to sleep, but fortunately found a friend of a friend to stay with. The next day, I arrived at the airport for my new flight, with no seat assignment. I waited in a long line to get a seat, then went to board the plane, and the flight was delayed 3 hours. Overall, it took 34 hours to arrive in Shenzhen after leaving San Francisco. If I had automatic updates sent to my email, or, if there was signage at the airport giving people information, that would have been helpful for the crowds of confused people. I also might have had a chance to reroute my flight Hong Kong to get in earlier, but I had no idea what was going on. There was terrible communication that was not due to a language barrier.

The flight was delayed so late that I missed my international connecting flight home despite leaving a four hour gap. The inflight service was pathetic. The food was atrocious, the media system was broken, there was not wifi, and they did not allow the use of cellphones the entire duration of the flight even in airplane mode. The ground staff was completely unhelpful. I was barely able to secure an alternative flight home after about a half hour of negotiating. I don't think I could have got the flight at all had I not spoke Chinese. None of the other foreign nationals were able to get a new flight. The flight they put on back home had to stop in Hawaii and cost me a good extra 8 hours. I got home 12 hours later than I had anticipated. I am filing for compensation. What a joke. Air China shouldn't even both with international flights if all their domestic flights are delayed and they are barely able to help customers speaking their native language (to say nothing of English).

I did not allowd to boarding and Air China tell me that FlightNetwork did not book the ticket for me when I arrive airport.

Is this Your service? Can I have a compensation as I have to buy another ticket and lost one day?

Service on their 777 JFK-PVG is great. CE has an outstanding crew. I just don't understand why other carriers charge 20-70% more for the same business class.

Some flights out of PVG require you to board the plane from the tarmac using stairs. Uncomfortable during in climate weather. OK a bit picky.

The flight was delayed almost 5 hours causing me to miss a very important business meeting. This happened to me going to Lhasa as well as returning to Chengdu.

My flight from Shanghai to Los Angeles was delayed 7 hours. There were 2 gate changes with no explanation given as to why the flight was delayed. It was a very frustrating experience.

Temperature was kept too hot to sleep comfortably. Service a little slow. It took almost 3 hours to finish the first meal.

Loved everything including entertainment selection and all the snacks left out as self-serve throughout the flight. Left and arrived on time from JFK to Narita

I'm picky about food and preferred the food to Tokyo on ANA to JAL. However, I take some responsibility for not making a special request pre-flight. I will do so for trip home.

The flight was great once we left the ground, however having flown to the destination (Japan) in Premium Economy, the differences in experience were striking.

The boarding crew seemed disorganized, the flight boarded 30 mins late and so we were delayed when it came time to taxi and take off. The flight had numerous crying babies on it, it was warm and stuffy once in flight, the crew brought you meals you didn't have a say in ordering and having to sit for an undetermined amount of time with the used tray in front of you really made the modest space even more so. I love JAL but this flight was not one of the better ones for me. Not through any fault of the staff, they are top notch, but certainly this flight ranks as just "okay".

Nothing.

The flight was delayed so late that I missed my international connecting flight home despite leaving a four hour gap. The inflight service was pathetic. The food was atrocious, the media system was broken, there was not wifi, and they did not allow the use of cellphones the entire duration of the flight even in airplane mode. The ground staff was completely unhelpful. I was barely able to secure an alternative flight home after about a half hour of negotiating. I don't think I could have got the flight at all had I not spoke Chinese. None of the other foreign nationals were able to get a new flight. The flight they put on back home had to stop in Hawaii and cost me a good extra 8 hours. I got home 12 hours later than I had anticipated. I am filing for compensation. What a joke. Air China shouldn't even both with international flights if all their domestic flights are delayed and they are barely able to help customers speaking their native language (to say nothing of English).

Hi, I would like to file for a full refund for the flight which I purchased. Upon arriving at the ticketing counter at LAX, I was denied my boarding pass with the reason that I needed a transit visa. I did not need a transit visa as I hold a Malaysian passport. The ticketing agent was being unprofessional and told me to walk to the Eva air counter to purchase another ticket if I so desperately want to leave. I purchased a business class ticket and was being treated really rudely. I have contacted Air China customer service but they are not responsive or helpful in any way. I showed them the China embassy website stating that I do not need a transit visa and they called me the next day saying they are willing to reschedule my flight for another $700. I would like a full refund for the ticket I purchased. Thanks, Sue

The price.

Flight delayed over 40 hours, in China! Nothing anyone can do about it. Totally got screwed by Air Gina. Almost missed the wedding I was officiating. Worse part is that Kayak has no customer service number to call for help. Never again. If that wasn't enough, they lost a bag on my return flight. Pay the extra money and get treated like a human being.

Still, love JAL's customer service from the cabin crew. The flight attendants are always friendly, courteous and professional. They do a great job of meeting and exceeding passengers expectations

The cabin area was extremely warm; at one point, I had to take out the safety card and fan myself. There was no explanation why the approximately 5-hour flight was uncomfortably warm. During the flight, I woke up from a sound sleep because of the heat in the cabin.

They hid the 13 hour layover in Shanghai. Had to pay expensive hotel, as airport HAS NO WIFI unless you have local phone number (China hates foreigners). Avoid China or book airport hotels in advance!!!!
