They tried to charge me $850 US. For 1 extra bag. After complaint that amount is crazy. They brought the manager over who then told me to bring him $450 in cash and they would accept it Big Scam. After going to the bank machine in the airport and getting the money. The manger put the money in his pocket and took my bag I couldn’t do much because i was about to miss my flight STAY AWAY. When we got to the front, we were asked to pay the bag fee with a credit card and the processing fee in cash. Since we were only connecting in Singapore, of course we did not have cash. She could not process the charge, walked us over to a new desk and a new line where they processed the bag charge without the cash fee (how this wasn't done initially, I have no idea) and finally, we were finished with the check in process an hour later."

We are used to having a checked bag for an infant but half the size of a adult ticket so our infant bag. So we had 10kg bag for my daughter then the rest of our luggage at the 15kg weight. We ended up having to pay for 900baht per checked bag up to as many adult tickets. But they counted our first bag as a adult ticket so at the end we had one extra 15kg bag at which they charged us excess baggage fee of 400baht per kg... They would not let us switch the order of the bags so the smaller of the bags would fall in that category. So our baggage price was much more expensive then the initial flight itself. It would not have been that bad but the guy that we had to deal with was very rude on top of all that sudden news. If the customer service was better and more polite it would have been much better to deal with."

As I type this, i am stuck at Singapore airport, my hotel paymennt for today in Phuket (nearlly $800 is wasted) as I cant reach there now today and in addition, i would have to buy a new ticket. Pros: "Had to pay $60 to check luggage after they said it was fine and when left the counter going to gate someone stopped me and made me return to the counter and pay. Very inconvenient to be told everything is fine then someone stopped you to return and pay looking like you did something wrong...very unattractive and would not fly this airline again."
Cons: "Would rather pay more for a good airline who will be ok with my cabin luggage than for a less inexpensive airline who makes me feel like a criminal and have to pay extra for luggage."
Cons: "They doubled my flight cost with one checked bag, served no complimentary food or drink, and couldn't speak English. They also didn't give me an immigration form which delayed me and caused problems at the airport. Chairs uncomfortable, overhead announcements unintelligible, no entertainment available whatsoever even if you're willing to pay, pretty bad overall."

Cons: "Nickel and diming to death. My reservation was put on hold as I did not pay for checked baggage. If you have to pay, just charge it upfront. Don't hold my booking ransom for it!"

Pros: "Boarding was awful as many people ignored the announcements and mobbed the gate. The crew needs to handle them better by telling them to get in line. I understand it's a part of Chinese and Indian culture to just shove and push your way in, but this wasn't either of those countries. The crew needs to make the passengers follow instructions and act more civilized"
Cons: "The process of checking in was very inefficient. They made us go from one counter just to check in and then go to a different counter to pay for the checked bags and another counter to check the bags in and then another counter to get our documents check. All of that could have been handled all at once at one counter. On top of that, their website didn't provide any details regarding how much it would cost to check bags in, which was very frustrating."

Cons: "Seats were uncomfortable, 6 hour layover in Singapore. I ended up buying another ticket from another carrier on the return to avoid jet star. Cabin crew was rude. I couldn't use my cell phone during the flight. Every other carrier that I have flown on (United, delta, spice jet, jet airways, Air Asia, Emirates, Cathay pacific, Turkish air and many more) all allow use of a cell phone during the flight. The cabin crew specifically told me that the use of phones during the flight was not allowed. I know not to use it during takeoff and landing, but mid flight...really?"
