Pros: "The crew was definitely amazing. Extremely polite and always have a smile on :-)"
Pros: "I had a nice exit row seat so that was nice"
Cons: "The food was not good and there also wasn’t enough of it which is really bizarre for an international flight that’s 14 hours long"
Pros: "Spacious leg room."
Cons: "The food is average. Could be much better. Eg, serve eggs like omelette for Breakfast. Only one choice . The other choice could be Jap menu vi differing it’s s Japanese airline. Flew JAL 2 yrs ago too. Food was not good. Also , toilets could be cleaner. There’s always a pungent smell."
Pros: "I love Japan Airlines. The service is always impeccable. The stewardesses are really nice and very efficient."
Cons: "Na"
Pros: "Food was excellent and service came frequently. In-flight entertainment was amazing."
Pros: "Premium comfort seats are worth it especially on longer flights; totally recommend. Plum wine is a great add to menu"
Cons: "You need to call to reserve seat. Then was told I could only upgrade at the airport and not on the phone, risking to loose the few available premium comfort seats. Old movies. Poor red wine. Food still just okay."
Pros: "Crew was polite and courteous, spoke multiple languages, they came around multiple times to offer beverages, pilot/staff kept us informed about reason for delay to gate, arrived earlier than expected, usb charging available, bathroom was cleaned multiple times during flight, clean bathroom, and there were toothbrushes/sanitary pads available in the bathroom, and enjoyed that they had Haagen Daaz ice cream."
Cons: "The pocket in front had no room to put a drink/bottle. Food was relatively better compared to other airlines but okay. Movie selection was good but compared to other airlines has less."
Pros: "service was excellent. Seating was OK in spite of it being economy."
Cons: "One meal was sufficient in quantity, mediocre in quality. Other meals and snacks were skimpy in frequency and quantity."
Pros: "The crew was excellent and the gluten free meal I requested ahead of time was the best airline gluten free meal I've ever had!! :)"
Pros: "The food is good. The seats for regular economy are a bit more spacious. They also have some deal with fast food restaurants, Mos Burger and Yoshinoya so sometimes you can get their air version of the fast-food meals. I had Yoshinoya and it was pretty good. The entertainment was okay, the only 2 things I wanted to watch was John Wick 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but the movies change every month so it was probably a bad batch. Also free toothbrushes and toothpaste available on the plane and a self service snack area. Overall it was great."
Pros: "Staff upgraded me both ways to an emergency exit row with more leg room."
Cons: "Breakfast was just so-so, not enough snacks or drink service throughout. The departure from the plane took over an hour (JFK’s fault, not Korean Air)."
Pros: "Fast boarding sequence and take off."
Cons: "Cabin crew should have smile more, serious faces make request so unconfortable. Food could have been better."
Pros: "Staff was very hepful and attentive. Nice people working"
Cons: "Ordered vegetarian oriental and they brought me appetizer of shrimp Flight attendant didn’t understand that shrimp is not vegetarian"
Cons: "the crew on this flight didn't timely deal with two situations I had. it took twenty minutes to get a cup of tea and I had to ask twice. then I dropped my nighttime mouth retainer on the floor and it also took twenty minutes and two reminders to have them sterilize it. My previous flight from JFK to Seoul was very good not this one."
Pros: "Considerate and attentive airline staff, clean facilities, great entertainment. Couldn’t ask for a better flight experience!"
Pros: "It was our first international flight and everything was fine."
Pros: "flight crew service and timeliness of the flight, email update on flight status"
Cons: "baggage claim was very slow took about 45mins to receive bags after arrival to JFK"
Cons: "High chance of getting delay, this is mostly because of the nature of Korean air."
Pros: "Smooth boarding"
Cons: "Being seated in the back Luggages coming in last when my friends who travelled with us got theirs way way ahead of us"
Pros: "Again on board everything was wonderful. The A380 was the most comfortable plane I've ever been in. The food was delicious and the staff was pleasant and friendly."
Cons: "Due to weather we had to reroute from JFK to IAD. we waited 3 hours for our bags and then were told to get to NYC we had to pay out of pocket and would be reimbursed later. I was injured and in a wheelchair and this was not only a major inconvenience it was also poorly handled for someone who needed additional help. It was every man for himself. I was very disappointed"
Pros: "The crew took care of us during a strange virus affected flight."
Cons: "On long flights, the seats need to be more comfortable and there needs to be more entertainment options. Also was not sure why we could not book seats even though we booked tickets in October."
Cons: "Food was really unpleasant and entertainment all out of date movies"
Pros: "That it didn’t crash"
Cons: "It was very delayed and then the luggage still hasn’t come out"
Pros: "The service from the check in to the flight attendants were excellent. both flights were on time and the flights were very smooth."
Cons: "the plains were older and their chairs didn't recline too much, which gets a little uncomfortable during very long flights."
Pros: "Great service by the crew! Excellent food and flight was on time,"
Cons: "Film and movie offerings and music entertainment while on board should be improved with more selections."
Pros: "Friendly crew, delicious meals, comfortable seats. Would fly no other airline to Japan."
Pros: "The extra inches were nice. Fairly comfortable seat. And the ice cream was a nice treat."
Cons: "I thought I would get a little more than a few extra inches in Economy Plus. Maybe an overnight packet (ear plugs, eye mask, toothbrush?) and/or a foot rest for the extra money, but it was literally only a few extra inches of space."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "First, I did an online check-in and was able to secure a seat for the first leg of the flight, but was able to get any information on my second leg. So when I arrived at the Thai Airways counter to load in my bags I asked the Thai Airways representative about the missing information. His response was that he could not get into the ANA system and that I have to go to the ANA counter to ask for that information. Given that my layover in Narita was only about 45mins landing to going to the gate, I was not comfortable with not knowing if I would be on that flight or not. The Thai Airways representation at the boarding counter did help me a bit and got in touch with a guide in Narita to help me get my luggages and get to gate properly. I wanted to note that we did not arrive in Narita on time due to the high air traffic so the plane had to circle around for 15 mins. When we finally landed I had about 15 mins to get through the custom and ran to my gate. When I received my ticket I was shocked that I got a middle seat on a 13 hours flight! If I have known this earlier I would have paid for a better seat, but since I was not able to check-in online and didn't receive any info about this flight prior to boarding I was not allowed to change on this full flight. In addition, the plane ride was awful. The food was disgusting and the seat was very uncomfortable. The seat did not even recline back! I don't expect much from a short distance flight but for a 13 hour long flight, I at least expect the seat to be slightly better than sitting on a rock against a brick wall. All in all, this was a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE I went through. The stress and the discomfort on the plane was an experience that no one should ever feel while traveling. It was an awful nightmare on an ANA flight. I would like a refund on this flight with no exceptions. Sincerely, Jessica Saesue"
Pros: "The plane wasn't that full so I had a lot of space."
Cons: "the seat itself is still uncomfortable to put in the extended position to relax. Plus the headrest doesn't move very well so it's hard to get a comfortable head position when trying to sleep. The crew took forever getting everyone on the plane I have no idea why it took so long considering they're worn so many people on the flight. The food wasn't very good except for the marble loaf."
Pros: "Flat bed is wide and comfortable. Cabin crew was excellent."
Pros: "Crew were great. Flight was not full."
Cons: "Plane was a bit dated and the entertainment system not as good as the newer plane as choices are lesser."
Cons: "WiFi didn’t work on 3 of the 4 flights although all purportedly had it. Also didn’t work the majority of the time in the Business Class Lounge in Singapore. Food was mediocre both on flights and in the lounge. Movie selection could hardly have been worse."
Cons: "Luggages did not arrive with the flight as it should be. It got lost in Sydney from Queenstown on flight SQ 6683 operated by Virgin Australia (VA 162)."
Pros: "Flight was very pleasant and enjoyable, on time for both departure and arrival."
Cons: "Meals were served rather slow as we were last for row 45 but there was insufficient time for us to finish the meal, collection of trays started in 5 minutes time"
Pros: "Food was good"
Cons: "Boarding was just ok, but departure delayed by half hour. Seats were really poor. Zero comfort.. felt like sitting on a cramped park bench. Entertainment system is ancient. Can't see and can't listen properly. Didn't expect this type of horrible aircraft from Singapore Airlines!"
Pros: "Crew"
Cons: "Short and sweet. Flight left on time and landed about 15 mins early. Crew was wonderful"
Pros: "Staff are great and on board service was good. Boarding is always well organised from Changi however it was a full flight and as always half the passengers exceeded their carry on allowance. Rather than addressing this bags were flung everywhere no nowhere within your actual reach during the flight. Very annoying when you are a passenger who does the right thing."
Cons: "See above. No in flight entertainment makes you feel like you're flying with the low cost carrier rather than a full service airline."
Pros: "It's not the cheapest way to fly but it's a great way to cross the Atlantic. Seats are big enough for 2, really. Lay flat beds make the night crossing east tolerable. You really can get several hours sleep. The cabin crew is outstanding, patient, and extremely responsive to requests. Two meals served were excellent. Entertainment choices were complete. After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. Had no idea this level of luxury existed on an airplane."
Cons: "My seat assignment was moved without explanation on our return flight, FRA to JFK. That was disappointing. The gate folks were apologetic but no real explanation given."
Cons: "Food , both quality and quantity was poor. Entertainment - world movies did not have many choices for such a long flight"
Pros: "Amazing flight and service. Would fly Emirates all the time if I could."
Pros: "Good leg room, comfortable"
Cons: "Food not that good, mostly cold, games for children didn't work, service used to be better"
Cons: "Requested an aisle seat at the front or an emergency seat and got neither. I could hardly move my long legs. That the flight was long did not help matters. I was sandwiched between two other travelers on a three-seater arrangement. Again, is it just on flights to Kenya or other African countries that passengers DO NOT receive the travel pouch?"
Pros: "The food was pretty good and the one ICE video center that was working offered a ton to watch."
Cons: "On a 13-hour flight, the video center is your main source of not losing your mind. Truly disappointing when you pay for the extra leg room in an exit row and you can’t watch any videos. Unfortunately, the ICE video center was broken on the way to Dubai also. In addition, the flight crew lets people stand around in front of you which reduces the extra leg room you pay a hefty price for. What’s the point of charging over $700 for this added “luxury” on each of your flights from JFK to Male, Maldives when you can’t use it. Emirates is nice, but didn’t reach the expectations they set."
Pros: "Seating space in the plane"
Cons: "The crew was quite rude. My flight got cancelled and the next day there was no veg food in the flight. It’s a 14 hour flight for god’s Sake!"
Cons: "They took my scarf and it was crazy cold in New York. Then they wouldn't let me use the bathroom yet it took almost an hour to land. Ridiculous. I was in 81D. I hope they found my scarf."
Cons: "Very noisy for passengers sitting by crew area. Crew seats were used very frequently and every time it opened and closed it slammed waking up passengers."
Pros: "Loved the service. My flight was from NYC to Milan."
Cons: "There was not one thing."
Pros: "Crew is amazing. friendly. Professional. Food is great. Comfortable seating."
Cons: "Inflight entertainment is a little stale. More recent movies would be great."
Pros: "The two checked bag allowance is very helpful - especially for someone who travles for projects, for long times and is on a tight budget. The staff were very attentive. Frequent offers fof drinks to stay hydrated was very good. The seats were large enough to be comfortable. The number of entertainment options was exceptional."
Cons: "The air plane was freezing cold - I could not even be comfortable sitting in my seat with a blanket on. The woman next to me had 2 blankets on. I could not check my luggage when I arrived at the airport. I had to sit with my luggage for 3 hours just waiting to check it. So I could not enjoy the 7 hours I had before my flight - to walk around the city, or even shop in the airport. I could not select a seat when I checked in on line - even though it was 20 hours before my flight. Even though I was traveling alone I could only get a middle seat. There were no non-meat food choices for the meal. We could not hear the announcements at boarding - no one knew what was being said."
