Cons:What a waste of time and effort! There are any number of rental car outfits at the car rental center near the Ft. Lauderdale airport. Economy is none of those. There's a separate shuttle, occasionally. When you finally get to the Economy "office", there's a crowd of people with not enough organization to call it a "line". Three or four clerks will all be dealing with one confused customer, while everyone else waits... and waits... and waits. Then, once you finally reach the desk, and begin the paperwork, you present your driver's licence and registration, to show the out-of-state insurance stamp. Oh no, that won't be sufficient. In Florida, car rental requires that the renter carry their entire printed insurance policy with them at all times. === Guess what... no it doesn't. At every other auto rental place, all they need to see is your travel itinerary for returning home: airline booking info, whatever. But that's not good enough for Economy, no. === Well, we can call your insurance company (after hours on a random weekday?) to get all your policy info verified, but how will you be paying? You give them your MasterCard. Oh no, this is a DEBIT CARD, and Economy will NOT ACCEPT a debit card. This was clearly stated in the fine print of the final page of the online rental car agreement, somewhere in the 24 pages of boilerplate, which of course everyone is supposed to read. But since we are renting through KAYAK, we didn't see *that* information at all. How was my rental car experience? It was EXCELLENT! I cancelled my arrangements with Economy, made them shuttle me back to the airport, and made arrangements the next day to get a car through the first-rate, world-class, friendly folks at ENTERPRISE. The moral of this tale: Do Not Even BOTHER with ECONOMY. It's a waste of your time and they'll treat you like some kind of lowlife scum-weasel. If you want to be treated like a valued customer, go to ENTERPRISE. The sooner that Economy goes out of business, the better off we'll all be.
