Cons:I can accurately rate this—they never showed up to pick me up. I waited a half hour for the shuttle and finally had to rent another car because I had a meeting in another town. I sincerely hope they didn’t charge my credit card.
Pros:Drop off was easy
Cons:Pick up was a pain. Staff was incessantly trying to up sell me and would not take no for an answer. They were very deceitful in trying to upgrade cars and force gas agreements as well as their own insurance. I was given a quote to upgrade my car at 3 different rates. The first was as good as they could do and a great deal. Then a special discount just for me then a a manager approved baseline price that was unbelievably good.. it was all bogus and then just being a pain to pull more money out of each rental reservation. I have rented from many companies and know that they all try to sell their insurance and offer the gas deals, but I have never been hard sold for so many different up sell options. I would avoid AVR and pay way more at any other rental company to not go through the same experience.
Pros:The van worked as expected, pickup was easy.
Cons:No one was at the site at the time I was supposed to drop of the van. There was someone at the back of the building cleaning vans and he said his boss told him if I customer came in he could take the keys. He also told me it would be able 30 min before someone came back. I couldn’t wait 30 min, so I left the keys with him. I also called and left a message to the number provided saying I was dropping the van off. A day later I received a receipt for that was $110 more than what I was quoted for the vehicle. I was charged extra for cleaning despite the fact that I vacuumed the van before bringing it back it. I’ve tried calling several times and left messages to despite the charge and not one ever answers and no has has called me back. I would definitely not recommend this company for rentals.

Pros:Read alot of the reviews and was hesitant to rent from here, however had a surprisingly fantastic experience. The young lady at the counter was phenomenal in walking me through the rental process and did not make me feel unwelcome after I kept asking questions. The young lady was generous enough to loan me a stool to help with my mother to get in/out of the car at no charge. Additionally there was a fine young gentlemen upon returning the vehicle who was kind enough to drop me back to the airport terminal, he was a pleasure to speak with.
Cons:Upon arriving at their designated spot for shuttle pickup after disembarking from the air train, I attempted to call the rental company from the provided shuttle phone to no avail. I had to call three times in order to get someone on the phone, but once I did they were extremely nice in arranging pickup.
Pros:The manager was super nice and doing his best with the situation at hand
Cons:Overall, the whole experience was one of the worst I have ever had. The line to check in was 3 hours long only to be told that they have no cars left to rent and they had cancelled my reservation. This rental agency is not a direct shuttle to pick up your car - you take a bus to one stop and wait for a shuttle to bring you to their offices. This process took about 1 hour. They were so backed up with limited staff and no cars to rent, even though we had a reservation! We waited in a parking lot for nearly an hour. The shuttle drivers were generally unhelpful and one took a lunch break right before we was supposed to drive us to the airport. The shuttle runs approximately every 30-40 minutes.... Very slow. I would not recommend this car rental to anyone.

Cons:Their temporary facility is a single wide and poorly marked mobile home.
